Definitely, definitely a must see when visiting Nashville- Such a beautiful structure! The process and history are very fascinating. Although we visited on a bitter cold day, we spent a fair amount of time on the outside and inside exploring. The way the old remnants are displayed at the end of the museum were presented very nicely so you could see what part they came from the top frame of the building. The park is also quite tranquil, it’d be an ideal place to read a book or just relax. We’ll be back to visit on a warmer day for sure!

A nice little museum for those who enjoy art and history. When we visited there was a display from some modern artists, more historical paintings, as well as displays detailing the 1987 Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition (for which the Parthenon replica was built), and displays detailing the building of the Parthenon and its contents. The statue of Athena is impressively large in person and worth the cost of admittance on its own ($10). We went on a weekday so it was not crowded at all, and spent about an hour walking through it slowly and reading the plaques. If you don’t care to stop and read everything you could probably blow through in 20 minutes or less. There is free parking just a short walk from the Parthenon, though even on a slow weekday it was pretty full with only one or two spots open when we arrived.

Loved it! Wish I would’ve gone during the daytime to first enjoy the park and then visit inside as it gets dark out. Worth the $10. Fairly quick if you don’t stop to read all the information pertaining to the exhibits. I do, it’s informative and descriptive enough to allow you to transport in time! Recommend! Go for it!

Doesn’t matter whether you are interested in Greek mythology or not, visit this place. Parthenon is the ancient Greek temple of goddess Athena. This one is the only full size replica of the original. This is huge with a humongous statue of Athena inside. I loved it. It’s a must visit place if you are around.

Magnificent and beautiful!! A must see if you come to Nashville! It's located inside Centennial Park. Parking is free and easy. Museum admission fee is $10. You don't have to go to Greece for Athena! The one here is stunning enough. I didn't stay long. I'll surely come back for a detailed visit. Recommended!!

Pretty cool experience! I’d have liked more back story on how it was used in Greece. But to understand the size and space, along with the statue inside, is what makes it so cool. Hard to understand how large this is, and created initially, hundreds of years ago. Worth the walk through.

Pretty interesting stop. Was inside the Parthenon for about 45 minutes. Nice look into who and why they build it. Doesn't have too much Greek history and myths but it has a small amount. More of the museum was dedicated to the actual act of building it and the time it was built. Kinda wish there was more on the Greek history and why they choose the Parthenon of all things back when they built it for the fare but overall still kinda interesting if you need to kill some time.

The Parthenon in Nashville is an absolute must-visit! Nestled in the beautiful Centennial Park, this stunning replica of the original Parthenon in Athens is a testament to architectural excellence. From the moment you approach the towering columns, you're transported to ancient Greece. Inside, you'll find the 42-foot-tall statue of Athena Parthenos, an engineering marvel in itself. The attention to detail is remarkable. What sets this attraction apart is its serene setting within the park. The surrounding gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. It's a wonderful place to unwind and soak in some culture while in the heart of Music City. The stalls in the garden sells amazing Lemonade, Sorbet, and Shaved Ice. I always have ‘Old Fashion’ Lemonade from the ‘Pucker Hut’ lemonade stall every time I visit here. The Parthenon is a symbol of Nashville's rich cultural diversity, and whether you're a history enthusiast, an art lover, or just a curious traveler, you'll find something to appreciate here. Don't forget your camera – this is a spot you'll want to capture and remember! 🏛️🌿📸 Overall, a true gem in Nashville that combines art, history, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for all ages.

If you have never been to The Parthenon in Nashville, then I would definitely consider checking out this amazing and entertaining tourist attraction right in the heart of Centennial Park in Nashville. The building is a full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens Greece. The giant gold statue of Athena in the second level is extremely impressive and quite a marvel to set eyes upon. The bottom floor of the building has an impressive art gallery collection. They have ancient sculptures throughout the building as well that are really neat historical artifacts. This is one of the coolest tourist attractions that I have ever been to. Highly recommend.

Very cool experience. The architecture and sculptures are pretty mind-blowing, and there is even a gallery of paintings and other 2D art. Super groovy historical photos line the entry hallways and there is a small gift shop full of souvenirs. Given its location in downtown Nashville, parking is pretty convenient - and free - in various spots around Centennial Park. Would be worth 5 stars but the whole building was quite hot inside during a recent visit...could possibly be an isolated issue though, and the Parthenon is definitely worth the small admission fee during any visit to the Park. Please be kind and love others! ☮️❤️

The Parthenon was built in 1897 as the Athens of the South for the TN Expo representing the numerous colleges locally such as Vanderbilt. It is an exact replica of the Parthenon in Greece and simply magnificent! If you have not visited you simply must. The inside is beyond incredible with the statue of Athena as the main attraction. She is just lovely! The outside is used for Weddings, Soccer games, Picnics, Walking your Fur baby;) The Park is very nice with the water and being able to take children and feed the ducks also. (REMEMBER No bread! only bite size pieces such as oats, lettuce, rice and sweet corn.) This is worth visiting more than once! The park is free outside as well as parking. There is a charge for inside. Adults are $10, Seniors and children $8, Babies Free.

This place is amazing. We come here often. It is great to just walk around outside. You don't even have to go inside to enjoy the majesty of the place. Now, the inside is impressive and totally worth going into. The history of how the Parthenon came to be in Nashville is astonishing. Greek mythology will always have a pull on the modern world, but standing in front of that massive state of Athena will always amaze. I feel like I learn something new every time I go. Check it out, definently a hidden gem of Nashville.

Wow. I've seen the real thing, and now this one. I mean, the real thing took my breath away. This one is amazing. I didn't get to go inside. We were there on an off day, but we did walk around it. It is still amazing to me that the original was built so far back in time. This one is an exact replica. So even in modern times, this is still great architecture. The detail in the pillars and in the whole structure is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how this one was built. I read the history and I recommend you do the same. It's interesting what the original place looked like during the fair. They did a lot of redesigning and reconstruction to complete this replica. It is very well done.

A stop here is a must if you are in the Nashville area. It only takes about 30 minutes to an hour to see everything but you will want to linger in the statue room. I believe that the goddess Athena is shown and it is a glorious re-creation of the original Greek god statue found in Athens. For only $10 adult tickets can be had at the door and I don't believe you can get tickets any cheaper from a booking agent. Handicap accessible.

Very cool replica of the parthenon in Athens. There is a museum inside with a giant gold statue of Athena. A couple other art exhibits. Make sure you bring a mask or be prepared to spend $17.00 on one. Beautiful walk around the park with other statues.

Yes, this one is worth seeing. Even if you don't go in, but for $10 you'll want to see the statue of Athena. Centennial Park is also nearby and spacious. The best time to visit is when it rains. Be careful of the steps, I see people falling over all the time while taking pictures.

Wow! Just wow! Admission is only $10 a person to go inside. The building itself is the world's only exact replica of the temple in Greece. The outside alone is beautiful! Inside you will find a statue of Athena. It's it unreal to see the size of her statue inside upstairs. The grounds where The Parthenon are are also beautiful. A lake, benches, paths, and other statues and monuments are there. We used the Old Town Trolley hop on hop off trolley tour to get to places like this that weren't within walking distance of our hotel. It saved us driving and parking. Although, I believe parking is free here. Very happy to see this place. Add it to your list of stops while visiting Nashville! Tickets can only be purchased on site.

It is a small museum, but their gallery collection is superb. Upstairs is the re-creation of the Greek Parthenon with the huge statue. The brass doors are magnificent. There is an exhibition of the 1896 Exposition with photos, descriptions, and memorabilia from that time. Very interesting. The surrounding park is lovely and a favorite place of the locals.

I spent about an hour and a half reading and viewing the items in the Parthenon. There were interactive exhibits, nice art, and looking at the sculptures and particularly Athena is a sight that can’t be put into words. The customer service was great! Gift shop has something for everyone and at tourist prices. 4.5/5 stars because I wish it didn’t smell like a Greece-y fart the whole time.

I visited this beautiful park and museum on Sunday September 18, 2022 and was completely transported to a historical time in our world history. The Parthenon is a life size replica of the Temple in Greece and was an anachronistic creation of local artists whose own stories are now embedded in the history of Nashville. I would not have missed visiting this place and intend to continue visiting as long as I reside here in Tennessee. Bring your family and teach your children. The art exhibits inside the museum are original creations. The park is lovely and the statues are unique. Would be a Wonderful experience for anyone ♥️

We went on a busy Sunday, so it took a bit to find parking. The size is pretty awe-inspiring, and the park around it is large and well-kept. There are great walking paths and a nice pond, as well as lots of statues. Good place to spend an afternoon

It was incredible to experience the Parthenon just like it was in ancient Greece. There is a museum in the bottom portion of the temple and it includes various artworks relating to ancient Greece. It also has information about the park and the main floor has the beautiful Athena statue. It is definitely worth seeing if you're in town and it's absolutely gorgeous inside.

Quite possibly the coolest find in Tennessee. This replica of the original is so vast and full of real Nashville history and takes you deep into the past Centennial where The Parthenon stood at the center. Walk through the multiple wings of history and then walk upstairs to the replica of Athena, the godess protector, and see what truly stands as a test against time. Just the passion behind every piece of artwork and sculpture can be seen in the blast from the past.

Are you looking for a great experience at some Greek culture? How about a blast from the past? Do you enjoy amble space in exhibits? What about sight seeing? Then look no further, you've found the place to be. This is my first time at The Parthenon and while it was enjoyable in some ways, I only give it a 3/5. Why you might ask? Well, good question. The outside is a full replica and it's a sight to really behold, that's without a doubt. Let us not forget all the pillars and the statues on the top left/right side ends of the building. The isles and the big door outside was awesome to look at. Once you go inside, you'll be browsing some halls with arrows on the ground and will tell you about some of the history of The Parthenon but not much to be honest. There are other random things within The Parthenon. You'll see random art pieces that have nothing to do with any of the Greek culture. After you go upstairs, you'll finally be greeted with the Athena statue, the shield, some gargoyles, and in the last room, some life sized statues, to include seeing the big door too. While all this is cool, I was expecting to see much more Greek culture in The Parthenon. Not random things here or there. I do recommend coming to this place but not once a month. Maybe once a quarter? There is a membership that costs $40 a year and if you go once a quarter, it basically pays for itself. If you don't care about the Greece culture as much as me, I think you'll enjoy The Parthenon much more than me giving it 3/5. I still enjoyed it nonetheless though.

Nice tourist attraction. Replica of the Parthenon from Greece. The interior itself was okay. They had some photos and artwork, but not really related to Greek Mythology. The second floor has a big Athena statue. They also have huge bronze doors. The surrounding park is a nice place to chill.

The Parthenon in Nashville is a true gem of a replica, capturing the grandeur and beauty of the original in Greece. Nestled in Centennial Park, this architectural marvel transports you to ancient Athens. The meticulous attention to detail in its construction is awe-inspiring, from the colossal Athena Parthenos statue to the Doric columns. Walking through the grand entrance, you're immediately enveloped in the rich history and culture it represents. The art gallery within is a treasure trove of classical art, adding depth to your visit. The lush park surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for photos and a leisurely stroll. Visiting the Parthenon is an enriching experience, offering a profound connection to the past. It's a must-see attraction in Nashville that will leave you with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the enduring legacy of ancient Greece!

What a fun experience! We have wanted to come here for a while and finally had the chance. The building is incredible inside and out. Further, the history of the whole area was facinating. It is such a good thing that the Parthenon was saved and restored. The museum was only $10 per person and was well worth it. Seeing the giant (41' tall) Athena sculpture was incredible. This a well managed and well designed place. What a great experience for people of all ages.

One of the historic places in Nashville! We lived here for a couple of years and kids loved going to the Parthenon. Once every weekend during summer and fall, there are craft fairs which are really good for the local communities! The local government encourages the diversity although there is a very less diversity in the area. and these fair facilitates the interactions between tourists and artists. This is one of the iconic locations in Nashville for photography. Many bachelorettes come for a photoshoots!!! You will also see love birds chirping in the ground and people freely enjoying the breeze and diversity of nature in the area!!

love this place! I had no idea it existed but I was very pleased to visit it and enjoy a beautiful tour. Even if you have to pay, it's worth it. I recommend it 100%...ahhhhhh and when you go out you can enjoy a great walk in the park

Great place to visit in Nashville! The structure is beautiful on the outside and full of details on every corner. An exact replica of the one in Athens. On the inside it houses a museum with photos and information on how it was built. The most impressive part is the statue of Athena that stands 42 feet tall 👍🏻 I visited in September 2021 and admission was $10

This is a great way to stretch your legs on a roadtrip that takes you through Nashville! The price is reasonable and the content is excellent and is just a short drive from the interstate(s) on the west side. The downstairs galleries were devoted to paintings and photography while Athena dominated the upstairs gallery - and she is MAGNIFICENT!

This was cool. The best part is that this is way better than the actual ruins when it comes to a complete exhibit. Athena on the inside was awesome. You don't need a lot of time to cruise through it all.

My daughter turned 12 and is an absolute Mythology geek. For her birthday, we took her to the Parthenon and she had a blast. Worth every penny. Parking was a little tight, but there is plenty across the street. Athena is a LOT taller than pictures can present. Talking about it or reviewing it just can't do it justice. You gotta go see this in person. You will not be disappointed. The doors on each end are massive, just like the original ones in Greece.

  • 5/5 Kathy T. 1 year ago on Google
This was our 2nd trip and loved it the same as the first. The size of the structure has to be seen in person as a picture doesn't do justice. The grounds around it are beautiful and you can walk down to the pond/lake. The museum inside has great history as well.

  • 5/5 Dannis T. 4 months ago on Google
Stunning architecture and a beautiful gallery inside. Definitely check this out if you are a greek myth fan, architecture buff, or live art and history. The replica of Athena inside is crazy to see. There are a few other sculptures as well that are so well crafted. The tickets are just $10, and they provide a discount for teachers and the military. It's in the middle of a park, so there are lots of places to sit and just take it all in.

Super cool replica of the actual Parthenon in Athens. I’ve actually been to the original and it was really neat seeing them replicate such an amazing part of Greek history. If you’re unable to travel to Greece, this is a really cool spot to check out if you’re a local in Tennessee.

This was one of the coolest things I saw in Nashville. It's amazing how few people know this is even here! The building itself is beautiful and the statue inside is remarkable. It really gives you a feeling of what the original must have been like when it was still in one piece. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville.

I’ve been to the Parthenon in Athens and it’s incredible to see that historic building but… it’s falling apart… To be able to see a to-scale replica of that amazing building was so fun and I enjoyed everything about my time there. Apart from the tourists who didn’t seem to think it was necessary to move from sitting in the center of the steps… I love history and recommend this place to anyone.

I find it interesting that a replica of the Parthenon 🏛️ was built in Nashville of all places. Very neat to see! It’s amazing what human kind could build with basic tools and basic technology so many years ago. We enjoyed visiting! We will have to go to Greece one day to see the original Parthenon. There is also a free audio tour as well if you wanted to learn more.

A great stop in Nashville to see a beautiful piece of history for the US and Greece. A must see if you love architecture, history and art. A bit crowded on the weekend but was informed that weekdays are much better for photographers and gives you more time to read all the information available about it.

I never knew this place existed in Nashville but it’s an incredible experience to be able to step back in time and see the Greek Parthenon built to scale with amazing detail, complete with a golden statue of Nike and Athena. I’m a fan of history and architecture and this was a great find. For $10 admission cost, it’s absolutely worth the price of admission to experience it. The scale of the statue alone is incredible when you take a moment to realize that the small figure in Athena’s hand is 6’4” tall! We got there from Broadway on Old Town Trolley that drops you off right at the front of the Parthenon. We didn’t spend too much time in the museum itself but there’s more to see here for those interested. Recommended and photos don’t do it justice. Go see it in person!

I had fun at the Parthenon today. I finally had the chance to go. Honestly, I had no idea that this gem was waiting for us to visit. The Athena statue is breathtaking. Eight years it took to make. Wonderful detail and amazing craftsmanship. The art on display is pleasant to behold. There are artifacts on display from 1897. I'm glad I got to see this piece of history. It was a treat. Parking is odd to navigate, but we had no problem finding a spot, and it was free. You could take kids if you want to, but they might get bored. I find this place affordable, had very little lines, and you can by entry on the spot. I recommend you check it out if you have an afternoon.

Really cool to see in person. Pretty scenery all around. Felt like it was a little expensive for the museum just because there wasn’t a lot to see. We took both our kids 9 and 2.5 for us it was a little much for the 2.5 year old. I would have liked to read a little more of the history and other information on the museum part. It was a fun site to visit and it is really

I've lived here for years and finally decided to make a trip. I was pleasantly surprised that it was in fact a museum inside. I can't believe haven't been in all these years. Do yourself a favor and stop by. Staff was nice and the grounds were clean.

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! First visited in July 2015 and went inside the museum, entrance at the lower area. This time around, the line was a bit long and walked around the area instead, and lots more people hanging around, breakdancing, as well as taking photos. Still an interesting point of interest to check out if you have an hour or so to spare as it is a replica of the original Parthenon in Athens.
