What a place!! My husband and I came here on a Sunday night and spent a decent amount of time on each floor experiencing all the bands and had a great time! The drinks were reasonably priced compared to some other places, the service was great and the bands were a ton of fun and super talented. The rooftop views are solid too - a great place on Broadway and so much history here too!

We didn’t eat here, but just had drinks and listened to the music. This place is a Nashville staple. Many floors with different bands playing.

This place was very crowded but the band was good. The bartenders were some of the best I've seen anywhere. They hustled to get everyone served as fast as possible, pretty amazing! The drinks are crazy expensive but oh well you pay for the venue not the drink.

Well...it was iconic so we squeezed ourselves in at 5pm. Two bands playing, people packed in like sardines! Beer was $9. Drank it and then left. While walking past the next morning at 9am...it was still packed and bands already playing and people getting drunk!!!

If you go to one honky tonk on Broadway, make it Tootsie's, simply because it's so historic--many stars came over here from the Ryman after their shows. There are 3 levels, each with a different live band. Someone on the 1st floor explained this to us, encouraged us to explore all 3 levels (and bands), gave us menus, and advised us to order at a bar. The tables are mostly large--you'll be sharing with someone else. Food and service were fine, though our food was slow to arrive and was nothing special. We were surprised that the band on our level really wasn't that good. We keep hearing about how hard it is to make it in Nashville, and we couldn't figure out how this band got a spot at Tootsie's. But still a really fun experience overall.

Very cool place, three stories and three stages all with live music at the same time! Good food, great drinks and killer atmosphere. We totally enjoyed our selves and were definitely going back before we head home to Seattle.

What a vibe! For people that don’t know about the famous Tootsies Orchid Loung, don’t let the front fool you! It’s big inside with multiple levels, and each level have its own live band! The top level also have a big outdoor area for you to seat down while looking down broadway. It’s a must if you’re in the area! Note: level 2 and top level is perfect if you want to listen to the live band but still able to talk and hear each other.

Tootsies is one of the most historic bars you can go to in all of Nashville. If you are going to Broadway, you must come here. The iconic purple building sticks out (in a good way) when you are walking up to it. Of course, it is nice to go to some of the newer bars, but Tootsies just has a classic feel that can’t be bought. You feel like you are right on top of the music whatever level you are on. It is a great feeling. I will definitely come back soon so I can experience it again. It is a lot of fun!

4/19/2023: Iconic bar with great nostalgia everywhere! This was one of my favorite spots on Broadway. The first level is very thin and hard to find a seat, but it’s a lot of fun! They have multiple levels with multiple live bands, like most of the Broadway bars, so there’s always a spot somewhere. You just have to walk around a little to find a place. I love the bright purple and the iconic photos. The service is good. Don’t miss this place on your outing.

It was literally my very first time experience to be in the downtown of this world famous music city in Nashville. 🇺🇸🎤🎸🎶🍻🤘🏻 And I must honestly say that it was truly amazing experience. I've loved this incredible atmosphere from the very first moment I got there! Lots of bars and restaurants with live music, crowds of joyful people dancing singing along with the bands and having some really good time. I did have a great time at the Tooties too. With this fabulous roof floor and a terrific view over the Broadway street, it's been an unforgettable feeling and memories! ❤️🎶🥰🤘🏻

Staple of Broadway street In Nashville. The place was pretty busy but not overly packed when I went on a Tuesday night. On all 3 levels they had different live performances. The scenery on top was the best part though. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you come to Nashville

I had a fantastic time at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on Broadway in Nashville. With its three floors, including a rooftop option, each featuring its own live music act, the energy was infectious. It's truly a must-visit when you're in Nashville. This historic bar, with almost 60 years of history, offers a fun and lively atmosphere, perfect for enjoying great music and unwinding. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Tootsies is a legend on Broadway and on my bucket list. It is tight and narrow space with the band right if front of you as soon as you get in the door. There's a long bar all the way down the side, then you can go up half a flight of stairs to another band playing on the other side called Tootsies Orchid. There was barely room to move around and not much room for dancing downstairs, but it certainly was an epic experience that I won't forget.

Very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Could barely get into the lower level. The bartender was super attentive though and got us drinks right away. The rooftop was more spacious. It’s an experience that’s for sure.

Stumbled into Tootsies as we were about to call it a night. 2 hours later we are so glad we stayed out and hung out at the famous and Historical Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Music was awesome. Tons of variety. And bar was packed on a Thursday night with incredible energy.

If you came to Nashville and didn't stop by Tootsie's, turn the car around and go back! So much history at Tootsie's, it's a must-visit iconic Nashville spot. So many stars owe thanks to Tootsie - think Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Roger Miller, and so many more. It is multi-level, bands playing on each level. The third level is partly indoors, partly rooftop outside. You can't miss the building thanks to it's iconic purple exterior. We ordered food and drinks while we were there - loved the sampler appetizer plate as it had a bit of everything we wanted to try.

Excellent multi-level restaurant and bar. The top level has a nice rooftop service area where you can enjoy a nice breeze in the city on those hot days. The food was really well priced for that particular area and the portions were large as well. Alcohol on the other hand was a bit overpriced and I wouldn't have ordered any but they happened to have an IPA I'd never tried. Overall a cool spot. Did not like the band coming around and asking for donations though. That's unbelievably tacky. Have tip jars or some type of area where people can tip if they want. I was there for the rooftop and view of the city, not the band.

Had such a good time listening to live music there. Ground floor was fun and friendly but a little loud and crowded for us. 2nd floor was less crowded in long rectangular room with bar and band playing at back. Also good. Mix of covers with occasional original song. Third floor was best in our view. Great band, super friendly musicians mixing with crowd between songs while friends played other songs. Good mix of covers and originals. Felt authentic and the musicians were so committed and passionate about the music that it felt special to be there, almost like a private party. Third floor extends to open roof for some fresh air and quieter environment for conversation. Bar staff was attentive and friendly and drinks were good. It was lots of fun.

I had my Vip party there last night on the 3rd floor behind the band. It was a really good experience and top notch service. Angel did a great job checking in on us and Colleen was our personal waitress. She was incredible and made the whole experience that much better. Can’t say enough good about the night. Robert

Lots of fun is had at Tootsies. There were 4 different bands playing at the same time on 3 different floors. The drinks were cold and the staff was fun. Legendary

Really cool bar on the strip that’s full of history. Was a great place to stop in quickly to get a beer and enjoy some live music. The walls are adorned with photographs and memorabilia, and the entire place has a real rustic, authentic vibe. The performers were great. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 was the drink pricing. I get it’s a tourist trap, on the main strip, but $10 for a bottle of beer is ludicrous 😂 would’ve been nicer to stay and enjoy a few without breaking the bank.

History oozes from the walls of this Nashville staple. This is hands down the best and most historical bar in all of Nashville. Almost ever top country star has performed here and you never know who is going to walk out on stage. We were chilling on the third floor taking in the views of broadway when John Daley took the stage and the place went Bonkers! If your looking to see someone famous tootsies is your best bet not to mention its rooftop bar has the best views in Nashville and the interior is full of awesome historical decorations!

First time in Nashville! Tootsies had a great atmosphere (small) but the drink was awful, ordered vodka cranberry. I’ve had my fair share of cheap vodka‘s, I use to be a bartender but this drink tasted really bad. It honestly made me think of rubbing alcohol! We were jumping from bar to bar, and this was my third drink of the night. I had a decent buzz at the time but could totally tell that something was not right. Thankfully I did not keep trying to drink it and just put it back on the bar. I did not ask for a new one because it was very busy and I don’t like to look like I’m trying to get something for free. Everywhere else made very good drinks, I order the same thing every time. I would say Kid Rock was the absolute best out of all the bars! Same price but way better and the bar is much bigger!!

Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville is an absolute gem! The vibrant atmosphere, lively honky-tonk vibes, and the incredible performances by the Marie Wise-Hawkins band make it a must-visit. The energy is infectious, and you'll find yourself immersed in the heart of Nashville's iconic music scene. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy great music, good company, and create unforgettable memories. Highly recommend!

How can you not stop by this historic spot while visiting Nashville? We did have to stand in line, but it wasn’t for too terribly long and it was definitely worth it. Personally my favorite part was looking around and seeing all the legends on their walls and knowing I was walking where they walked. All that aside, still great entertainment, drinks, and atmosphere!

Saw Annie B's Band here and was the best live band I have ever seen! 3 to 4 floors in almost every bar on Broadway. It was amazing!

  • 5/5 Sherrie H. 1 year ago on Google
There's 3 floors with live music on each floor. No cover charge, food and non alcoholic beverages are available. I really enjoyed having lunch there. The band on the third floor was great!

It’s a piece of history, I’ll give it that. I’m sure those walls hold a lot of secrets. The visit was just ok though. It’s dirty. Really dirty. I had the absolute worst vodka sprite of my life in a small cup for almost $14 and I didn’t even finish it. Previous reviewer stated the bouncers were rude and unfriendly but that certainly wasn’t my experience since everyone I interacted with was friendly. Worth a visit to say you’ve been but definitely wouldn’t drink there.

Another great bar on our Nashville trip! Such a cool place to hang out and have drinks, especially on the roof! It was the most jam packed bar that we were in that night. You couldn’t hardly move, but still had an awesome time! Ready to go back again!!

Don't go after dark. I watched somebody put something in my Wife's drink, promptly told a bouncer, and was promptly asked to leave without her. They initially tried to keep me from coming inside, but were eager to let her in. Edit: As it turns out, the only recent positive reviews for tootsies are from "local guides." Mom would be disappointed at what her bar has become.

This was our first stop on Nashville broadway and it was the best. Loved the entertainment on all 3 levels. We stayed on 2nd sat at bar listened to mostly rock and enjoyed it. Then went up to the 3rd floor and it was country and we loved it.

  • 5/5 Heather D. 6 months ago on Google
I had a great time and the food was really good. The chicken quesadillas were delicious as were the Boom Boom shrimp, which had just the right kick. I don't like spicy food, but I handled these easily, and they were reasonably priced at $14 each with generous helpings. Delish. The bartenders were surprisingly friendly and attentive considering how busy the place gets. I've been to other places where sometimes the female bartenders aren't generally as friendly to women, but the two girls working the second floor bar on Fri were super. The band was awesome and engaging, and the patrons were friendly.

Bands on every level. Roof top had great views at night and the bartender up top was quick and friendly. We stopped in on a Thursday evening and had a great time. All the bands sounded good and had good vibes. Not too crowded.

The original World Famous Tootsies. The purple palace. Opened in 1960 and still lives today! The anchor of Broadway. Come during the day. See the history on the walls. Stay till the night. Hear great music all day long. 10am till 2:30am. Eat the Phillly cheese steak or the nachos loaded. Full of energy and hospitality. Come in the historic back door from the alley the way all the old country music stars came in. There’s a neon sign over the back door and usually no waiting. Come in the front door and walk all 3 floors to see the original front and back room where Tootsie Bess served the likes of Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and many more. Take in the historic building. Leave a piece of yourself here. Sign our walls. There’s also a huge 3rd floor “rooftop” with an open air patio. When the weather is great the view is too.

If you’re in Nashville, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is a right of passage. Located on Broadway in the thick of it all, but has maintained its charm and it’s character through Nashville’s huge boom into “the place to be.” Unpretentious, amazing music, and cold beer. Need anything else?

  • 5/5 Aaron L. 2 years ago on Google
I liked this bar a lot. Several floors and good bands played while I was there. This could be the 46 years under my belt talking but go day drinking on the weekend here. Lunch, booze, and live music - great views from the rooftop bar.

Absolutely love this place. Always try to visit when we are in town. Not too bad prices on drinks, and we always love to hear Jake sing downstairs. Crowded but always great company!

Truly a Nashville staple and an outstanding bar! Great people music and food! 3 levels and typically 3 bands...if you're in Nashville it's an absolute must!
