I have never been so poorly treated by a staff than at Heritage Medical. I have been lied to and manipulated by multiple staff members and when calling today and after I gave my name to the “child” on the phone they laughed at me. After asking for a supervisor she said you really want to talk to Stacy again? Well it appears STACY is the leader of this gang at Heritage Medical Associates and I will be filing multiple grievances with the BBB. This practice has harassed me for a bill that has already received payment through collections. Yet they continue to send me this same bill. Any reasoning with the billing department results in nothing but combative behavior and never once have I been treated with decency. I did get upset and cuss at them and for the first time the “child” regurgitated a line from their HR Handbook and the only flicker of professionalism she’s demonstrated. These people have taken my shortcomings as personal threats or inconveniences, my lack of insurance and resources at this time should not result in further embarrassment. You should be ashamed of yourselves for this kind of conduct. I came to you for help and you talk over me and push me into a corner, you’re not superior you just hold a position of power. Your conduct will not go unnoticed and I will see to it that this mistreatment and targeted manipulation is addressed by a State Authority. -Ford

I think the Doctor should sit in the lobby and in the waiting rooms and also have to be responsible for the transportation of a patient after a procedure and really get the full experience of dealing with their front office staff, who are basically the gatekeepers. If your people out front are talking to your patients and the people driving them around inappropriately rude, then your patient is apprehensive about you as a doctor for allowing the BS without even seeing your face. 10 years of lifesaving training to help people so the other people at the front desk can make you look bad, and your entire establishment as well. Also, just because you have control of the patient when he or she is in your care, doesn't mean you have the right to control the person helping the patient get back home. The poor lady in the waiting room on the 3rd floor was sooo upset that she had been waiting so long, she was telling a friend on the phone that she was having to think about the word in the Bible and not say too much. No wonder people's blood pressure is so high coming in. Oh, and if you're brave enough to go to the 3rd floor, take your winter coat with you. I won't be back and my 3 star rating is a gift because the doctor was nice.

This practice is unprofessional, deceitful and rude. I went to see Dr Brothers in January. Paid my copay and called numerous times to see if there was an outstanding balance in February and the months to follow. I never once received a bill with the service details and when I attempted to call the number given it rang and rang without answer or the ability to leave a voicemail. I received a June bill postmarked for 7/22 but they already tacked on a $194 fee even though I hadn’t received it. I would highly recommend avoiding this practice.

Doctors are great, but the organization is too big to provide personalized care. Too many people working, so the "right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing." Their employees need to brush up on their soft skills. Patients need to be notified if their appointments are changed. Just because you have someone in the office who is willing to see a client when you're not there, does not mean that it is okay with the patient. I've tried several doctors at Heritage Medical Associates and the doctors are always lovely, but the rest of the process makes it difficult (to put it mildly) to get any kind of ongoing, quality medical care.

Make an appointment here if you want to wait for an entire hour before anyone even speaks to you. This has happened every single appointment. Specifically in the dermatology office. I also asked if docs could recommend any diet changes/lifestyle tips to help with acne and no one has any suggestions, only offer oral medications. Fine, I get it, you’re a doctor, but it’s mind blowing that no one seems to have an answer for that question…. Anyway, I don’t recommend this office for dermatology

Great doctors but they are the most money hungry medical group I have ever seen. You can make your payment every month but if you are 1 day late they will call you threatening to send you to collections!! I pay my bills to them all the time but the one time I’m late they call me very rudely threatening to send to collections. Honestly considering changes doctors. My pay schedule changed and the representative who called me about my 1 day late payment said that they don’t care and if they don’t get their payment by the end of today will send me to collections on a 1 day late payment and my balance is less than $80 might I add. Absolutely ridiculous

I’ve contemplated writing a review for a physician at the Nashville Heritage Medical Center for over nine months. I hesitate to publish a negative comment because it is not my intention to judge anyone’s character or motives. However, I am daily reminded of what I believe to be an error on this physician’s part, and that has led me to write this review. I had sinus surgery to correct a deviated septum and remove sinus polyps in December of 2020. I was told there would be a stint placed on either side of my septum for support, and that these two stints would be removed on my first post-op appointment. I was unaware that, along with the two stints, two plastic implants had been inserted into my nostrils from tip to bridge. No details of these implants were given to me before surgery and no picture of these implants were shown to me during any prior appointments. I did not know they were in my nose until my first post-op appointment. The implants are visible at the bridge of my nose and are still tender to the touch nine months later. However, I wear reading glasses for at least 8-12 hours per day, as well as sunglasses when needed; and the pain I feel every minute of wearing glasses is a constant reminder of the wrong I feel was inflicted on me by this physician. I informed the physician prior to surgery that I wore reading glasses almost all day. The implants make a V-shape right at the place where my glasses sit on my nose. I can’t begin to describe the pain I feel every day. I was very upset to hear that these implants had been inserted without my knowledge or consent. At the post-op appointment, this doctor told me they would begin dissolving in a few months; however, in my own research and after seeing a plastic surgeon to inquire about removing them, I learned the implants would not begin dissolving until after two years. And, removing them would be quite costly and leave very visible scars. I will have to deal with this pain for over another year. While I asked all the questions I could think of asking prior to surgery, it’s very difficult to ask questions about something of which I am unaware. I would not recommend having sinus surgery with this practice. Added note - I requested copies of my medical records over four months ago and have not received them.

I've never been a big fan of going to the doctor and have neglected to find a provider for years. My experience with Heritage has been nothing short of spectacular. Between Dr. McKean and Dr. Stevens, the level of care provided is second-to-none. I've enjoyed Heritage so much that I have transitioned most of my needs to their practice. I'm looking forward to seeing the allergist recommended through their practice. Definitely recommend.

Super disappointing experience this morning - The GP team apparently doesn't count that you are being seen by specialists WITHIN the same practice towards your continuing patient status. The whole reason we selected Heritage is for the multipractice availability.

The medical professional could be Jesus Christ himself, and I still would not want to speak another breath to their front desk. Talk to a wall and self diagnose for better service.

Would give zero stars if possible. 3/3 Heritage Medical providers I’ve been a patient with have used deceptive billing practices. A PCP office that refused to tell me or lied about how much things would cost; an opthamology office that performed a test I didn’t need so they could charge me for it; a dermatologist office that billed me as a new patient after I hadn’t been in for a couple years due to Covid—the doctor spent only 3 minutes with me and charged me double the established patient fee. I’ve purged all Heritage Medical from my care list. If you don’t want to be scammed and manipulated into paying more for care, I recommend you do the same.

My daughter's pediatrician recently became a member of Heritage medical. We are switching insurance and need pediatric records sent to FB health plans. I tried for 3 weeks to have this records department send her records. Took all of the appropriate steps. Even spoke with the records department via phone several times. Of course they were not sent within the required time frame. So now we are without insurance. Ridiculous! They're just records! I love our pediatrician, but this whole process for something as simple as records makes me think about switching.

Possibly one of the most inefficient medical offices in the city of Nashville. No one ever answers the phone despite several front desk staff sitting her gossiping and clearly not doing anything productive. Don't go out of your way to show up to your appointment on time, especially if you're seeing Dr. Harwell. If you're lucky you may be brought back within an hour of your actual appointment time.

I came to Dr. Grand for a second opinion on my massive fibroid. I ended up feeling so comfortable with her that I decided to go ahead and schedule surgery. She is very straight forward with you and doesn’t pressure you to make a decision either way but instead informs you on the options and what they entail. My surgery took place roughly 2 months after my initial visit with her and everything went perfectly. My C-section cut is so low I don’t think I’ll ever have issues with it showing while wearing a bathing suit. If you’re looking for an OBGYN Dr. Grand is worth her weight in gold. When we’re cleared to get pregnant she will be the only Dr I will use!

I am fairly new to Nashville and Dr. Anderson has become my first primary care doctor as an adult. I have very much enjoyed being his patient and he is very kind and informative when I have questions. The Follow My Health portal is super convenient and allows me to communicate with Dr. Anderson outside of an appointment. Highly recommend this practice.

First time patient with Dr. Snow (endocrinology) and was nervous after reading some of the reviews for the facility. My experience from checking in to seeing Dr. Snow was positive. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. Dr. Snow and his staff were amazing and put my mind at ease.

I Arrived at 3:36 which I even went on the wrong floor because I did not remember where I went to last time I came. & then I Literally called in at 3:37 which I have in my call records! So now in total I am 7 mins late ! Which MOST OF THE TIME DOCTORS ETC. would GIVE a 10-15 Window break. I am also coming ALL the way from Clarksville which is a HOUR drive for me coming & A Hour going so 2 hours total! Then front desk worker sends me a link to my phone for go over, which my phone was slow then she gave me the tablet from them! Did everything! & Then they called me in at 4:00 saying “ahh so you’re late today & she’s already gone.” Like are you kidding me !! Late , there is not even an open 10 mins window !!!!!???!!! Then at 4:00 or litter after 4:00 they call me in to the back ! So messed up WASTING MY TIME & GAS that I drove a hour coming & now a hour going back to not even get to see Dr. Carter. Disappointing! All places have a 10-15 mins window for when a patient. I was literally in at 3:37 !!!! 7 mins ONLY! I’m So upset !!

I'm so over this office. My maternity leave was docked 4k because I didn't schedule my 6 week check up, when we all know post partum care appts are a joke, and technically the paperwork was suppose to be submitted before that appt was even due to take place. I called and was told they didn't submit it (for 2 weeks) due to not being scheduled. So I've been 8weeks without pay total now. I ask, "so you havnt submitted it because I'm not coming in?" (That's illegal by the way.) I get a "well, no, no." So submit it already so I can pay my bills. They do and instead of putting the standard 8 weeks you're allotted for a c section, they put down my return date sooner knocking me of the maternity leave I literally pay for out of pocket for because I am an IC. I havnt returned to this office for any check up because I hate it. I only ended up here as a last resort and due to my insurance.

Initially had a positive experience with this medical group year ago when they first diagnosed my condition. Recently, I was told they would no longer be able to offer refills on my prescription until I came back in a saw Dr. ******* because it had been 2 years since I had seen him. That’s fine and I get that totally, but after multiple attempts and leaving several messages over the course of the last two weeks and no return calls, I’m giving up and seeking another neurologist. I find it ironic that the nurse who told me I need to come in for a follow up visit told me I could just get my primary to continue refilling that same prescription. So I’m confused……….. 🤔 How is it that my neurologist who diagnosed my condition and prescribed this medication and has been treating my issue with said medication for many years can now no longer continue to re-fill, but my primary can just somehow pencil whip a prescription even though he is not a neurologist? Anyway, I’m done.

SO IMPRESSED! Dr. Grand was so helpful, and took me and my concerns seriously! I really felt treated with respect, dignity, and honor. I just moved to the area and have been looking to get established somewhere, and I am so thankful I discovered this office. 10/10!

I haven’t been lucky with the medical professionals in the past. Because of this I hate going to the dr and always feel like I’m going to be judged! I had put off an issue until it really needed to be addressed. After my appointment today with Cameron I have to say all those fears and anxiety’s melted away. She was so kind and gave me such invaluable peace of mind! Highly recommend!!

The office itself is lovely - front desk staff are always helpful and Dr. Bleecker and her staff are absolutely wonderful! However, I have now been waiting a month for my records to be sent to my new provider out of state while at the end of a pregnancy. Multiple phone calls and attempts to get my records are not helping to motivate this process. My new provider is having to duplicate tests and procedures I've already had done due to this delay. If you're planning on moving at all, I would request your records way before you move to ensure they actually make it to your new provider in a timely manner.

Very disappointed that I was told my doctor or Heritage does not accept cash/self-pay. Just lost my insurance because it was super expensive and I fell behind. I will have new insurance after 30 more days at my new job, but was told my previously scheduled appointment would have to be rescheduled until I am covered by my new insurance plan. What is one supposed to do if they need medication refills in the meantime??

I called to see if I could find a primary care doctor here since I just moved from Indianapolis, IN. I need an annual check-up and prescriptions that I need to continue here in Nashville. The appointment scheduler was extremely rude. She cut me off when I said I need to come in to meet someone and before even saying my prescriptions, she said, "Our doctors don't do refills." I said.. Well what if I talk with them and we discuss my condition? She said "Nope." Not helpful AT all.

This was my first visit to this facility. I went to Dr. Rossell for an IUD removal and a new one installed. I liked the relaxed and straight forward demeanor of Dr. Rossell, and was impressed that the procedure was amazingly efficient. I greatly value any practitioner that can make an uncomfortable procedure (both in terms of pain and also vulnerability) easier. Would highly recommend. Also worth noting is the facility itself. The waiting room and patient rooms looked clean and well kept.

Struggling with the dermatology office staff. A simple prescription has turned into a four day endeavor. First, they sent it to a pharmacy not in my file that I have no relationship with and didn't ask me, second they didn't send the generic, third, they resent the correct drug but the pharmacy didn't receive it, fourth they resent it again, but did not specify the dosage requirements so now I'm still waiting for them to sort it out with the pharmacy. The only way to reach a person on the phone is to use the physicians line. Very frustrating. I don't understand why these clinics can't get it together and provide decent customer service. I got the impression in the office that the primary provider did not want to see new patients and the NP I saw in her place, well I think not filling out the dosage on the script speaks for itself. Why is this so hard in Nashville to find a decent dermatologist?

My doctor is awesome & I’m So thankful to have him manage my healthcare. I’ve been a nurse for 20 yrs, so I’m around doctors all the time and I know some are better than others. I am truly grateful that I have one of the best doctors that I know. He not only listens to me but he also takes into account my input when it comes to discussing medical issues that have come up and the diagnosis is associated with that. To find a doctor that you are comfortable with, one who actually listens to you, takes your input into consideration regarding your health care, and is not judgemental it’s not always the easiest to find. I’m very lucky and fortunate that I have found a doctor that’s good as he is. Also, Gigi, who works at the front desk/check in, is always friendly, kind, courteous, and beyond helpful. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody without hesitation. His whole team is great starting from the moment you get callback from the waiting room. Thank you to everyone at Heritage Medical Associates for all you do.

My overall experience over several years has not been good. Just there because of my doctor but that will change as they don't accept my medicare advantage insurer, Aetna.
