Great gym with nice people. Biggest gripe is they don’t have disinfectant spray or wipes to use on lifting equipment and in the weight room. It’s fair game to take risk if you go to the gym, but to not ensure regular sanitation products available for members to use is a huge disappointment. Easy to catch the vid due to that discrepancy especially since 1/2 don’t wear face mask and are actively breathing hard when you’re in the rooms or near the treadmill. If you’re from out of state, it’s an adjustment to get used to the lack of personal space given here when working out. In that aspect this is the worst of over 10+ rock climbing gym I’ve been in. Go to West Nashville gym over East though for the best social experience. Parking is tough after work when busy.

Honestly it’s a cool place but I’ve gotten screwed with the membership too many times and sick of feeling ripped off. The gym is filled with kid groups that dominate the walls in the afternoon and the their Climb Employee Instructors are rude and could care less. Literally let them run around running into people, under climbers, and will leave them on the same auto belay for 10+ minutes. It’s a day care the last 5 times I’ve gone and The cardio equipment works only part of the time and open gym is always being shutdown. So at this point why go? The fees and charges are not clearly communicated and the “freeze at anytime” means after you pay $90 initial you have to pay a $11 freeze fee that is never mentioned until you fill out the freeze form. Bad vibes.

Absolutely magnificent and humbly challenging place. Very chill environment, wane climb you can do that, wane do some schoolwork, no problem you can do that, got a second floor with tables and peace, wane bolder no problem go right ahead got righteous bolder wall. Absolutely recommend, $20 per visit and if not mistaking $80 per month. 👍👍👍💯

Have climbed for a long time and the west location of all the “climb” gyms is definitely the best one to go to if you want an all-encompassing climbing experience. East (and soon Kraft) are boulder only and Murfreesboro is in my opinion the nicest but too far outside of Nashville for daily trips and West is great as my home gym as it has both roped and bouldering. The community is incredibly kind, the staff are all great and the setting/climbs themselves always are top notch. There are yoga classes galore and a workout room as well to maximize fitness as well. Overall a great establishment and gym, would highly recommend for anyone looking to start climbing or regulars who live in the area.

This is my first time leaving a review but I believe it will be fruitful for people interested in trying this gym. Pretty decent gym with some nice setting. And a friendly bunch of climbers. Unfortunately, I had a pretty negative experience right off the bat. I was met with the employee, Sara, who made it seem like interacting with me was a waste of her time. The other staff members seemed pretty friendly, so I might be biased, but my experience with her really turned me off. From purchasing a day pass through the orientation, she had an attitude that made me feel unwelcomed. It's a shame she left such a bad taste in my mouth after meeting so many amazing people here in Nashville. The gym overall was pretty stuffy. In terms of space and the smell of chalk was pretty overwhelming. Thankfully, the others climbing at the gym showed me nothing but kindness. If I were to come to Nashville again, I would either stick to the Crag or try the other location for bouldering. I think the employees at a rock gym are crucial for providing guests a safe and fun experience. As a climber, I feel ashamed for the way I was treated. Because it's likely that I was not the only person that received attitude from Sara, and was treated with such disregard. How do they expect to build community if they are rude to their guests? 🙁

Awesome climbing experience with friendly, knowledgeable staff that make safety a priority. Allison was our trainer - she had a bubbly personality and was very patient with us as first time climbers. We will definitely be returning in the future!

My daughter and I had a great time at the gym. Both times we visited, the staff were pleasant and were very helpful in showing us how to use the ropes and equipment. The place was clean and you could see staff replacing or maintaining the hand/footholds on the rock faces. The staff on the floor were attentive and appropriately assertive in making sure we used the equipment correctly. The place is airy. Also, the music is at a reasonable volume and not too loud, which I really appreciate and can be a non-starter for me. Beware of false pricing advertised on one of their two websites. I searched for their gym by name and went through its features and membership options. When I got to the gym, they charged me $5 more per month and for initiation fee. I emailed to Corporate the page I relied on, and their Head Indoor Guide for Members replied he would not honor the price because the website was replaced four months ago. It sure fooled me; it looks live to me even as of today, and I'm still able to click through to the place I bought my day pass from. So I will watch out in the future.

Really fun place to just climb. Lots of activity and lots of people. And everybody was smiling so obviously it was a good time. Some were very difficult but the challenge is half the fun. And it's really fun watching someone successfully beat that challenge.

This was a great climbing experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had several novice climbers in our group. The staff explained everything and everyone had a great time.

It's a great place to start learning to climb. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I would go again. It can get busy on Friday evenings. Go check out the climbing!

We had a good time the other day on our first visit. Orientation was concise and informative. The facility is really nice. The staff seem to know what they're doing and seem to enjoy the job. Lots of stuff to do, and the place is built to handle lots of people and lots of different skill levels. They allow toddlers, which is a huge plus, as our daughter is athletically inclined but isn't allowed to climb at most places due to her age. Prices seem reasonable. I wish we lived closer so we could take advantage of the membership. I wish they had some ropes (the 1.5" kind) or some Ninja Warrior style obstacles like filled cargo nets to climb. Monkey bars, rope ladders, etc. Weirdest thing was a lot of their merchandise in the shop had no prices posted on them. Are they for sale, or just for show? Weird, right? The only thing I didn't care for is the staff are allowed to put stickers on their name badges showing which minorities or controversial groups they align with. Poor policy, but that's just my opinion. Give this place a try. I know we'll be back.

This place is a gem. The staff are always so amazing and helpful. I love the facility!!!! I never climbed in my life but would bring my sons when they were younger. Now they’re older and I lost a ton of weight and can enjoy it myself. The auto-belays are GREAT, and if you’ve got someone willing to belay you, the options are endless and so much fun. It’s a new love of life!!

We visited all the way from Florida again and still love it, my legally blind 14 year old son was shown how to navigate around the obstacles and harnesses. He loves it and can easily feel with his hands and feet where to go without any issues. The staff was more than helpful. We really appreciate it. Thanks and we can't wait to return again on our next visit!

  • 5/5 Logan G. 9 months ago on Google
Staff was very friendly and walked me through every part of the facility. The auto belay was great! I felt very secure and safe for my first time ever rock climbing. I will definitely go back sometime and try more climbs.

  • 5/5 Nick S. 8 months ago on Google
The staff are friendly and fairly helpful. They're pretty busy to help with belaying but most of the climbs have the self belay equipment. The climbs are well designed for all experience levels. Good place for kids and adults. The price is $25, Good for one or two people, but obviously adds up quickly if you're taking a large group. Most recreational climbers, will be done by 3 climbs, so about 30 minutes tops.

Really fun to climb all the rock walls in the building stayed for hours and had so much fun with my friends. Only down side is only for me it’s pretty far away. Otherwise It’s awesome! Climbing there was fun.

I love this place. When I first moved to Nashville I had three of my birthday parties here and always enjoyed repelling down the wall when I was younger. Now that I’m older, I appreciate the opportunity that I can climb almost every day. I just started to get serious after a couple of years on and off. Climb Nashville West is a great place to get started and to make connections around you. It is so easy to get in for members(and non members as well) just a scan in with your card and your done! I can spend hours in here and always have the cafe place to rest for a little bit. They have a Donut bouldering Competition on November 14th at their new Kraft location, if you want something goofy!(you have to wear an inner tube to climb!)

I tried Climb for several months before getting a membership, and I really liked it. But, a couple months into my membership, the easier top rope routes almost completely disappeared, and were replaced with auto belay. The ones upstairs remained, but I think they've been replaced with auto now as well. Personally, I completely prefer top rope when learning because I can rest midway and focus without having to completely restart. A mix of both top rope and auto on the 5.5-5.7 routes would've been great. What kept me coming after that letdown was the yoga class with Lisa. I also want to say some of the staff are very unwelcoming, and even passive aggressive sometimes. Really strange, I don't know what the point of that would be. Anyways, today was the last proverbial straw. I wanted to use the workout room on the top floor after yoga, but was basically shooed out by an employee because he wanted to mop the floor and close the room for the night. I asked him if I could just have 15 minutes and he told me I'd have to go to the weight room, which was and always is full of men slamming down weights. I understand if I missed the memo about that room needing to close at a certain time, but I can't make an excuse anymore paying $90 a month for this place...especially when I can't use a completely empty workout room while the other one is full. Anyways, I hope someone reads this and cares. If not, oh well. Thanks.

It was a great time amd would definitely go back. Instruction was pretty thorough and staff was very friendly. They did offer belay lessons but there were enough auto-belays to keep things interesting. The routes were pretty great and appropriately challenging for beginners and some more advanced routes we didn't even bother trying. There's a bouldering section and an entire half of the gym for normal belay. It was pretty crowded but it worked out great to give your arms a break.

Tall walls! Lots of routes for auto belay, top rope, and lead climbing and good bouldering, too. There's a weight gym and great yoga classes, too. Little disappointed I didn't finish one of my climbs today, but I'll get it next time. 5 star experience! There are a ton of top rope walls but due to insurance coverage, there are not too many auto belay walls to climb, but still enough for a good workout!

Great mix of top rope (with over 10 auto belay routes), bouldering and lead climbing. Friendly employees and chill atmosphere. Does fill up on the weekends for birthday parties or other events which usually effects auto belay the most. All in all it's a great time + good exercise.

Really impressive walls. Good overhangs. Great staff. The gym equipment isn't in the best shape, and is quite limited. It compares poorly to other large scale climbing centers that I've been a member of in other large cities. Otherwise, the place is great

Excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful. 4 of our kids climbed and had a blast. We had our wheelchair bound daughter with us and were able to bring her right up to the action. All parts were wheelchair accessible.

Climb West has been a life saver. I was lost and looking for something new in life. I wondered into Climb West wanting to learn about rock climbing and left addicted. I’ve been climbing for 3 months now and have even moved outdoors thanks to the constant encouragement and environment provided by CLIMB!

We came from New Mexico and got a day pass here and climbed on and off all day. I love that yoga classes and equipment are included with day passes. Everyone was friendly and even when it gets busy there were many routes open and mostly enough room to climb next to people.

This was my first visit to a rock climbing gym and I'm glad I chose this one! I purchased a day pass that included rental harness and climbing shoes. The employee who gave me the tour was knowledgeable and friendly. There is a big emphasis on safety. What a unique workout!

I love this place! Walked in and immediately got a membership. Now I climb every other day. Staff are awesome. Other climbers are friendly and encouraging. This place is three floors. Cardio equipment on the top. Cafè tables, locker rooms, and smaller climbing walls on 2. Bouldering, free weights and Big walls on the floor. If you’re curious about climbing then you should just go here and start doing it. :-)
