This hotel is only about 7 years old but when you go in you would think it’s been around for decades, as it is so tired, dirty, and worn. I have stayed there once a year, on a business trip, every year except 2021. It has gradually deteriorated and is now very dirty. My bed sported a fitted bedsheet and a heavily stained, dirty coverlet, which I kicked off the bed with minimal contact. I had to request clean bedsheets (they gave me 2 more fitted sheets) and some sort of blanket so I could sleep, else I’d have to go find a room in another hotel. The visible heavy layer of dust and grime are on all of the furniture, lamp shades, wall art, bathroom. Shower and sink are heavily stained and some fixtures were missing in the bathroom. Dirt balls were just rolling around on the floor. The coffee machine could be a lab experiment with a heavy layer of questionable build-up in it. I wish I could post pictures. Never again! The only positive note - the staff are very nice people. Someone with money and expertise in running a hotel needs to buy this property and turn it around. It has tons of potential and great bones.”

Our expectation for an upscale / luxury hotel was disappointing. The room was dirty. Edges of floor were dusty and dirty. Air conditioner grill was full of grime and mold. Could only guess what the filter looked like. Door to the room was askew. All hinges were bent and door would not shut correctly. Bed linens had holes and red stains. Bed covering had red stains. No complimentary drinks (water or libations). No concierge. Upcharge for breakfast. Why? Exercise equipment not functional. No cleaning wipes or towels in exercise room. Considering the price charged for the rooms, I would have expected better amenities. Parking was limited and had to commute to parking area each night. Only one elevator working. The most positive part of hotel stay was the wait staff serving breakfast. They were very pleasant and willing to provide help as requested. Our experience in 2017 with St Denis was exceptional. We hoped for the same, but were very surprised with the decline of quality.

Chose to boom here on a special night because my wife stayed here awith our kids during a hurricane evacuation and loved the place. This turned out to be a mistake. To begin with we checked in to our suite and when we got to our room it had not been cleaned yet. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk staff they made a couple calls and told me the cleaners would be right up. 30 min later they show up to service the room. There was no effort to compensate in any way the set back of the dirty room. (I have been places where we were up graded to a different room or even a free drink at the bar, but nothing here). Fast forward to the breakfast the next morning, only hot food was grits, runny scrambled eggs and over cooked sausage. The pancake Machine was out of batter and was told they may be making more in the back but after 45 min none came out. The only real 4 star or above rating was the great bar tender on Friday night. He was awesome!!! So he gained them one extra star or it would have been a 1 star rating.

Stayed once before and it was very nice. However this time we decided on a suite. Except… we didn’t get any of the suite luxuries. The jacuzzi didn't seal, keeping any water from actually filling the tub. And the pocket door for the toilet didn't even close. Should have saved the money (and the phone call to reserve a special room) and just gotten a normal room. Its a shame something that should have been so nice was just… regular.

I stayed here for an event and I am absolutely disappointed with this establishment. You must pay in advance and it’s non-refundable. The floors were disgusting. Sticky and filthy. It was like someone spilled a soft drink on the floor and left it there. I checked the beds and they do not have sealed mattress covers on them…. and that was the last straw. My husband went to the counter to ask them about the cleanliness of the room and the employees said there was nothing she could do. He asked for a manager and she replied with “your looking at her”. He said the room is disgusting what can you do about it and she just laughed at him. At this point there is no recovery. We packed up and drove home the 4 &1/2 hours in the middle of the night. Worst experience ever. We booked throughout Expedia and tried to get a refund and Expedia really tried to reach out to them but after 2 weeks of them trying to calls chateau and not answering/returning their calls they were unable to refund since they had already sent payment to the facility. If you book here I suggest the upper level floors. They don’t seem to clean the bottom ones. And don’t pay until you see the room. It was a complete scam. They force you to pay upfront so you can’t get a refund. They have a no refund policy. Nice on the outside , close to the river and local Interests. But don’t expect $207 with taxes to get you a nice clean room.

Love this place! The only bad thing I could even say is the staff isn't very nice and the printer was out of ink. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful, there's a bar inside and a beautiful courtyard, a nice breakfast, the rooms are nice and spacious in the shower was divine. We definitely plan on taking another trip here very soon and I would highly recommend it if you're in the Natchitoches area.

Our stay was great. The staff was amazing. The front desk staff (both evening and morning) were very professional and always will to answer questions and provide any assistance needed. They also have the best head Chef Ms. Shayla. We will be back very soon.

Very nice location, close to the river and several good restaurants. Personnel needs retraining, receptionist was not friendly and the for the persons serving the breakfast. Rooms comfortable, bed was saggy on the left side. No clear indication for handicap access even when asking the receptionist.

Great location. Reasonable price, good internet, nice looking place, but… Horrible service. I stayed here during a business trip for 3 days. Couldn’t wait to leave. Front desk is friendly enough (if you can actually find anyone there). No soap in my room (only shampoo and conditioner). I asked the maid who was in the hallway if she would give me some and she simply said, “See the front desk”. After searching for the desk clerk she explained that they were out of soap but they were expecting some to be delivered today. I got the same story every day and never got any soap. Got maid service the first day, and the maid took what was left of the soap I had brought, and then simply no maid service the rest of my stay. Breakfast is supposed to start at 7 but really they start getting it together at 7 and it is not ready until 7:10. Which is great when you have to be at work at 7:40. Bed is waaaay too soft. Floors are tacky. My Hampton Inn by the airport in Shreveport the next night was like staying in a 5 star hotel after enduring this dump.

The rooms are nice but for the price they should have been better. When they say jet tub you just have a tub with holes in it and I am 6'2" and my knees were bent above the water line so the tub was not huge like other places we stayed at. The King bed is real tall so if you are short you don't want a king bed. The breakfast was weird they served you. You could not get your own breakfast and the pancake machine is not a good idea. They should have waffle machines instead. The parking is horrible!!! Good luck with parking!! The staff are good

Close enough to downtown to quickly walk but far enough away to be quiet. Our room was clean and large. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was also good. The beds were comfortable. We also had a view of the Christmas lights and church from our room. Based on our experience, I would stay there again or recommend it to a friend.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and all the pillows! So awesome! Very quiet. The courtyard is nice. Very limited parking on the hotel grounds but it's expected for a hotel in a historic part of town. Microwave in the room would make it perfect. Great location to Front St. I wouldstay here again.

Five stars . We had the best stay in a hotel anyone could ask for . Due to fire evacuation in our home town we came here to the lovely Chateau . Beautiful outside and inside . Beautiful flooring and art . Large room , crisp comfy clean sheets and bedding . Spacious bathroom for easy wheelchair access. Plenty of clean towels and toiletries. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Excellent friendly customer service . Warm Scrumptious breakfast . Entertaining tv programs . Walking and wheelchair access to the Front St shops and river . And no harsh chemical odors for those effected by environmental allergies . We didn’t want to leave . We love you Chateaux and look forward to enjoying another stay in the future.

Room and hallway not clean. Lots of noise all throughout the night for 6 nights. Could be a great hotel with a little effort. All in all I still recommend this hotel.

A perfectly situated Motel for exploring and enjoying Natchitoches and surrounding areas. Clean and well appointed common areas, friendly and knowledgeable staff, rooms that are comfortable , clean and an excellent free Breakfast bar. Parking that is secure and has easy access and within walking distance of all downtown. Highly recommended and will definitely return for my future stays.

The overall experience of this establishment is top notch. The staff is always amazing and so friendly. I many times have experienced them going out of their way to help with a great attitude. The rooms have been clean every time we have visited. We also enjoy the breakfast which is a great addition to any stay. It is the perfect distance to spend the day walking downtown, enjoying a festival or driving to plantations. I enjoy visiting this small little town quite frequently and I do not stay anywhere else.

Check in was 4, arrived at 3:30, no rooms ready, back at 4:15, still nothing ready. Lobby is filled with guest waiting on their rooms and very aggravated. We finally get in our room at 6:30. Poor girl at the front desk was there alone and doing her very best. She was fairly new and should’ve never been left there alone on New Years Eve without help, very poor management. Room was clean and comfortable and location is great, this hotel has great potential if they find someone to manage it. Photo shows the people lined up while others were on the patio, in the bar and other part of the lobby waiting. Ridiculous!!!

Needs handicap ramp. The place was beautiful I did however find it strange no phone in room but it had a safe which was great. My room was extremely dusty the dust was thick on walls and lamp but again the room was huge and beautiful I will stay again. Also water is brown so I bought bottle water for my coffee.

Very nice older hotel. Everything was clean (which is a must), excellent breakfast, nice meeting area downstairs by the fire, great location to downtown attractions n very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a wonderful stay!

This room was disgusting! Filthy to say the least. There was food in our refrigerator and chips on the floor from a previous guest, coffee wasn’t replenished before our check in, no toilet paper, no Kleenex. Following morning while in the shower the water gets shut off. Called front desk and was told she would find out something and call me back, but never heard back from her. I called again and was told she was trying to get in touch with maintenance. After an hour it came back on so back in the shower only for it to turn off again. Spent the day in town only to come back to our room after 5pm to find out that housekeeping had skipped our room. I had to call the front desk and wait for housekeeping to bring us towels, toilet paper and coffee which she did with an attitude!!! We have stayed here before and enjoyed it so we returned - but I can say that we will never be back here again!!

The location is one block up from front street. It is an easy walk to front street and all the shops. The room with a king size bed was roomy but could use a better chair for sitting. I would definitely stay here again.

t's almost impossible to get someone on the phone. I wouldn't think it's uncommon to have items left behind by guests, but after calling for almost a week I can't get anybody to call me back or even confirm they found my medical devices. At this point I'd rather buy replacements than continue to pull my hair out trying to get them to care about customer service. Honestly the hotel is nice, beautiful hardwood floors. But I wasn't overly impressed. The breakfast is so-so. I've had better free breakfasts at motels but you'll be full. It's a fine place to stay if you never need to speak to anyone who works there.

My wife and I felt special the moment we walked in the door. The decor and atmosphere were perfect for the holiday spirit. The room was super clean & comfortable. The only downside was a small but nice shower. I played offensive line in football so it was a little bit of a squeeze. The other great advantage of the Chateau is location. It's an easy walk to the riverfront which was helpful since there was a ton of traffic for the festival.

Stayed in establishment two of three weeks. First time CC was over charged a couple G's (accident). Skipped a week before next stay. Second try had two rooms reserved and they put us in one. First two nights no soap no shampoo (accident). Told the lobby after the second day and was informed it would be taken care of. Third night no turn down service, beds were unmade, trash was still in and out of can and no soap or shampoo. SAD! Is a nice area but recommend staying elsewhere.

Nice hotel but wedding reception directly going on below our room and lots of booming music vibrating our room. I suggest you place people attending the wedding on that side of hotel because they are probably partying and not in their rooms at 10 pm like we were trying to sleep. Also breakfast states that they begin at 7a.m. but was exactly 7 :10 and was a problem because we were on a time schedule.

The location is great, and the dining staff is great. The front desk staff are polite, but were not able to help with our predicament. The first night, we heard what we thought was a party happening below our room, or next door, all night long keeping us awake. The next day we realized Christmas carols were playing on the speaker system mounted on the wall outside our window. Nonstop. Quite loud. We spoke to the front desk that morning, and that night and they assured us they would turn it off. At 12 am I called down and asked them to turn it off and was told they could not turn it off but would turn it down. A little later my partner went down to the desk to ask again. At one am, we noticed it was finally turned down. And we could sleep. We were so exhausted, we cut our trip short. I've given this feedback directly to the hotel with no response. Very disappointing.
