I recently visited this hidden spot to view flamingos, and it was definitely worth the trip. The lake is shallow and provides a great opportunity to see these beautiful birds up close. However, I must warn you that the ground can be quite muddy, so be careful where you step. But don't let that discourage you from visiting this spot, as the view of the flamingos is truly magnificent. Overall, I highly recommend this location for any bird watchers or nature enthusiasts out there. πŸ¦©βœ¨πŸŽ‚

Perfect spot to witness sunsets and sunrises. The flamingoes just add to the beauty of the place. However during sunsets the place is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, so do carry mosquito repellents.

Seawoods Flamingo Point is best place to visit from December to early Feb. You will find lots of Flamingos. Best time early morning before sunrise and during sunset.

Beautiful place for morning or evening walk throughout the year. With ducks and other birds in creek/pond. In winters after arrival of pink flamingos, it a place to visit as it turns pink due to large gathering of flamingos

A lake which dries up during summer and attracts lots of flamingos. Large portion of Lake dries up and leaves dry clayey soil to walk on. Great place to chill and for bird photography.

Not just Flamingoes but you do see a variety of birds flocking here. The only pity is that the folks who come to enjoy nature, make ample noise to disturb. And of course, some clean up by civic officials won’t hurt.

Flamingos are captivating and beautiful birds known for their vibrant pink plumage and long, slender legs. These avian wonders are often associated with tropical and subtropical regions, where they inhabit various habitats such as lagoons, lakes, and estuaries. Their striking appearance and unique behaviors make them a fascinating species to observe. One of the most notable features of flamingos is their distinctive curved bill, which they use to filter-feed on small aquatic organisms, such as algae, shrimp, and insects. Their specialized bill allows them to stir up mud and water, filtering out food through specialized bristle-like structures. This feeding behavior often results in large groups of flamingos congregating in shallow water bodies, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of pink hues. Another remarkable characteristic of flamingos is their social behavior. They are highly social birds and often form large colonies that can consist of thousands of individuals. These colonies provide safety in numbers and facilitate courtship and breeding activities. During the mating season, male flamingos perform elaborate courtship displays, including synchronized group movements and elaborate head-flagging gestures to attract females. Flamingos are well-known for their stunning pink coloration, which is actually derived from the pigments found in their diet. Their diet, rich in carotenoid pigments from sources like algae and crustaceans, contributes to the vibrant pink and reddish hues of their feathers. The intensity of their pink coloration often reflects their overall health and breeding fitness. Conservation efforts play a crucial role in protecting flamingo populations around the world. Habitat destruction, pollution, and disturbance of their breeding sites pose significant threats to these magnificent birds. Many organizations and conservation groups are actively working to preserve flamingo habitats and raise awareness about the importance of their conservation. In summary, flamingos are iconic birds known for their pink plumage, unique feeding behavior, and impressive social dynamics. These remarkable avian creatures inspire awe and appreciation among nature enthusiasts and serve as a reminder of the diverse and captivating world of birdlife.

Birds are very far away thus barely seen with naked eye. Great view though. No place to sit as such so cannot spend much time there, cab drop by for a nice view.

I considered myself very lucky to have seen the pink visitors in our city after so many years of living in the city . Perfect place for someone who wants to capture a picturesque Flamingo moment in their cameras . Also take precautions in walking the swampy ground as your shoes are in for a dirty treat .

This is just an empty land for now but there are a huge number of flamingos in the water. Unless you have zooming lens you can't take clear photos. Well it's a nice place to visit if you are nearby but I won't suggest if you have to travel a long distance just for this point. If you really want to visit add some of the nearby places to your list. There are many attractions available. It might become a really good place in future. For now it's just a short visit nothing else to do no food no water.

Breathtakingly beautiful. They come to this place in between of May to Nov. Highly recommended and please visit and witness this beautiful phase once in a life time. The place also have quicksand muddy areas, be careful of getting your shoes ruined or get stuck in it. It's beautiful overall.

We can watch flamingos at a very nearby distance. It is less crowded but the place is poorly maintained and stinks very badly.

It was a beautiful place for the bird watchers and photographers. However, yesterday, I found it totally fenced. No way one can do good photography. I think too many crowd forced the authority to take such steps. Bad for nature lovers.
