A very good arrangement has been made for international level kite flyers. Many kite flyers from the country and abroad have participated in this. Thousands of different types of kites have been seen.

The festival was conducted on the banks of sabarmati and had lots of amenities. It even had a museum of kites which explained the history of the same. There were many shops where you can buy kites and related items. There were only a few people who were flying the kite as it was scorching heat in the afternoon.

You can not believe that such a hudge festival possible for KITES ! you will be lost in every activity there !!!

This is a free event organised at riverfront ahemdabad. We went on uttarayan festival after 12 noon. Hardly any kites were flying in the kite zone. 1 star for kite museum and fun activities for kids 1 star for the arrangements of toilets and drinking water All the international kite flyers sit in kite flying zone where you are not allowed. No other day programs arranged to keep the crowd entertained as the entire program USP depends on air flow. Everything available in stalls are overpriced and food stalls are not hygienic. Overall we had worst experience.. I think rather than going here talk to any local and spend uttarayan day in old ahemdabad with their family..

It was wonderful festival. There was so many food, clothes, Jewellary and toys stores. Kites were so colourfull and unique shapes.

This is a one of a kind experience. Entry is free and you can see stalls for apparel, accessories, and food counters. There are 90+ countries participating with kite flyers representing their respective regions. It's organised pretty well and maintained clean as well.
