Lovely English pub atmosphere. Generally quite festive. Good pub food.

Finally got to try this pub after the booze ban has been lifted. Had 2 baskets, one fish and one meaty. Both incredibly delicious. Had to wait for the draught beer to cool down after coming back into service but was worth the wait. Music was good in the patio area. Staff were helpful and polite

Robin runs a tight ship... busy with the Rugby on Friday night. Dedicated service areas need to be nutured as patrons needed more Care in our corner.

I have so much to compliment on this place... Was really a pleasure from entering the building till we left... The service (Michael) was great, the food *Sorry I have no picture was SO good...* I had Chicken Pie and Spouse Steak... Was such a spoil! The historic building... the history behind the building.... The quaint seating areas... The menu was great catered for all and best of all kiddie friendly with play area and menu! What else was I to ask for!!!! Well done guys! Just shows .... Can be done!!!!!

A very beautiful place, very chilled and has a friendly owner or manager. He came to greet, he was just very friendly 😊. Not sure about the service delivery 😅 because I think at some point they may have forgottenour drinks, but the place has really friendly staff and pretty good food. I would visit again.

A small old fashion styled pub with kind a good service. Always a nice place to be when there is loadshedding because they have a backup generator which is working perfectly! Therefore they have good WiFi and kind service with lovely people! There are enough tv's to whatch sports in the pub as well.

Very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. One of the best grilled fish that we have had. Reasonably priced.

The most divine Cape Malay style Chicken Curry and Sambals. Order it spicy. Make sure the wife orders her own.

Cozy, Warm Atmosphere, friendly service, absolutely delicious mussels and we took a veggie platter home, we always enjoy spending our date night here, Feels a lot a pub in England.

Totally without character. They spent a lot of money on this place if the hectares of oak veneer and the huge flatscreen TVs are anything to go by. But there is not a spot of greenery in the garden, and the menu is pretentious and totally average. Chips were not crispy, baked cheesecake tasted microwaved (in fact, could the chips have been microwaved?) the lager totally average, and the waitrons, though friendly enough, seemed halfway asleep. If you like corporate hotel pubs that have had the life sucked out of them, this is your spot.

Evening pub grub enjoyed. Always a nice variety of slightly more upmarket pub meals to experience that gives a bit if variety. Service good as well.

Best restaurant in port Alfred. Can’t wait to be back. The atmosphere is great, had a lovely fireplace going in the cold. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was wow so good ! And their gin and tonic was lovely. Can’t wait to be back.

Great food set in a fresh, modern take on an old time pub.

The food at the pub is amazing! The staff is very friendly (special shout-out to Asanda, our waitress) and the space is just warm and very comfortable. Will definitely be coming back.✨

My photo of a R145.00 Ladies rump steak wouldn’t upload. But it was more a sliver than a steak - a weird, longish, thickish sliver. I assume it was the promised 200g? The chips were poor. I swear they tasted like fish. Maybe cooked in the same oil? Not recommended.

Really great Pub vibes with lots of history at Royal St. Andrews, super cosy, 'delish' pub fare with very good service..if you in PA it's a definite stop-in and you can keep score of your favourite sports team too.

Traditional (upmarket) pub, across the road from the golf club. Great food off a wide menu at decent prices. Daily specials and pensioners discounts for Monday lunch offer additional value.

A lovely lunch at the Highlander Pub in PA. The vegetarian basket was much appreciated with the crumb mushrooms being a favorite. Good size helpings of sides with steaks, which were well prepared. Service was great and attentive. Will visit again!

Serves great vegan food at affordable prices. Our favourite chef is Sifiso who is very humble and always willing to cater to our individual needs with great meal suggestions. We always stop by for lunch whenever we drive to Port Elizabeth. Great overall service.
