What an experience indeed! A definite must when on given area.. Very knowledgeable and some awesome gifts to purchase.. even some pineapple 🍍 beer 🍺 hahaha was an experience! Friendly welcoming staff... So much potential so much more can be done for guests and money can be made.... Maybe time people start thinking out of the box so much potential!

It’s been one of my bucket list for a while so finally got here ! It was cool to see it, thought it was possibly bit to over priced for what you get. R25 per person walk up three flights of states to look out the top. Lady at till wasn’t the friendliest. But I guess all touristy things are overpriced with overpriced. But great to see it , but been there and done that.

Cute experience 🙂 I was just passing by and did not enter the Pineapple. Also due to weather!

We visited The Big Pineapple outside Bathurst on a public holiday and were pleased (and surprised) that they were open. Lovely farm to visit - it was great to see the pineapples growing in the fields. And there are lovely views from the top, lots of information about pineapples and a great little shop with a variety of pineapple products. It's only 15km from Port Alfred and well worth a visit.

Sadly it was wet weather, but we braved the weather and explored the BIG Pineapple 🍍. Great view from the top over looking the farm. Lots to read up about. Bought some Pineapple beer, juice and fresh Pineapples. Kids loved learning about how they grow.

We had an amazing Buffet Breakfast at the restaurant and afterwards, took a Tour of the Big Pineapple. Was lovely!! Will definitely visit again when in Bathurst.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Sponge Bob square pants 🤭 Well it was really a farm with a huge pineapple, climb to the top via stairs inside along with a curio store. Pineapple ice lollies and hand crafted gifts.

What an exciting and unique experience. I never knew there was so much to learn about pineapples. From the history thereof to the way they planted grown and harvested and which sorts there are. Even showing old photos. Cool curio shop related to pineapples too. Worth the stop! The whole structure is hollow, and you can go up into it.

What a lovely surprise! I was just expecting the big pineapple museum (which was pretty cool, probably needs updating), but there was a swimming pool, pub (great prices), lunch buffet in beautiful restaurant area (excellent food & price), kids play area.. Thoroughly impressed & will be returning soon! Thanks

Finding The Big Pineapple was on my list of 'to-dos' when I got to the Eastern Cape, and seeing it growing larger in the distance as you get closer was extremely exciting. The store inside is lovely with everything from fresh pineapples, to fridge magnets. The viewing deck upstairs is a MUST see.

The biggest pineapple in the world, it’s an experimental farm surrounding the big pineapple, there is a curio shop in the bottom level with all sorts of pineapple infused goods from beer to juice. Then a museum with the history of pineapples, going up all the levels until you reach the top of the Pineapple where you have an unforgettable view of the farm and surrounding areas.

Good experience and love the dried pineapple pieces, just sad that they don't have any restrooms available because they have been struggling with out water for 3 weeks

This place has so much potential to be something better. There is a stall outs that sells bead jewelry and a store inside that sells a variety of pineapple products from jams to magnets and pineapple juice or beer. It gets very crowded and there is no restrictions to how many people enter, covid?? Seems like it's gone and forgotten. There is a fee to go up to see from the big pineapple but because of the crowd I didn't bother even asking. The pineapples growing on the grounds have warnings - do not pick because they are experimental. There is a self guided tour but no signs or anything so.. I guess you are literally on your own. It ended up being a short experience instead of an actual outing because you're too scared of the protocols not being followed and want to keep yourself and the family safe.

Its a big pineapple building. Very unusable and quite an experience to see it for yourself. It is a big pineapple. Would definitely visit when its not beach weather (Port Alfred is not far) you can buy nice souvenirs inside the pineapple and you can go to the top or look out a window.

Not much to see, but worth a visit for the novelty. Has a small shop inside the pinapple. You can climb the stairs to the top of the pineapple to view the countryside. You have to pay though to go up the stairs. Has an educational centre all about pineapples on the first floor as you go up the stairs.

Very beautiful a fun thing to do with the family. Beautiful view from the top. And a nice gift shop too to buy souvenirs. Can also buy pineapples of course if you love pineapples.
