Kelly's Beach on the Sunshine Coast is one of South Africa's prestigious international Blue Flag beaches. The sandy beach is situated near the Kowie River estuary mouth and is well worth a visit. The viewing deck offer fantastic viewpoints to watch whales, beach goers, and stunning sunsets. It’s a great swimming beach and offers 5-star facilities. Interpretive boards provide interesting information about some of the unique characteristics of this wonderful beach. The Blue Flag Beach award assures cleanliness, safety, amenities and the upkeep of environmental standards. Lifeguards on the beach to ensure safety. Clean toilets. Monitored by multi Security cameras makes it a safe space for visitors. My favorite spot to sit and watch the ocean while getting my Sanity back after a long day.

A quiet beach where one can relax. It does have quite a bit of rocks though. Decent police presence when we were here. Despite dogs not being allowed on the beach, I've seen quite a few people walking their dogs here.

A gorgeous spot for anyone to visit. Stay off the dunes and keep safe! Always make sure the wind isn't too hectic, else you'll be sandblasted but bring a bag for shells and rocks :) We found a rock graveyard between the dunes that was a treasure trove! Early mornings at 5:20 am are the best for the sunrise, but dress warm!

I normally don't enjoy swimming on the ocean because the water is normally cold in most beaches along the Cape in South Africa. I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. And I decided to have an unplanned swim. The beach was very quiet and we did not feel unsafe we enjoyed our time. We came early in the morning and stayed for some time before the sun became too warm.

Lovely beach πŸ–οΈ. No life guard when was there, but felt safe. Parking was easy but can imagine during December being super busy!

This beach lives up to its blue star rating. It is beautiful, peaceful and clean, and the sand is super soft. It was a refreshing and rejuvenating walk.

Stunning beach with an area marked off for swimming. A walkway and stair are available to access the beach. There are rocks to the right of the beach with tons of tiny critters and creatures for the kids to see, but they can be a bit slippery.

The sand is soft and clean . They actually have people cleaning the beach. I found this to be so amazing. That beach just so lovely. It's like you walking on cotton.

This is a great beach for playing around in the waves. There were lifeguards on duty when we were there. Also a parking lot and clean and free bathrooms and changing rooms. Make sure to go during the higher part of the tide if you plan on swimming.
