It's a good historical site to visit. It has a nice view and has a lot of tall trees for you nature lovers out there and it's near the new airport. Hopefully it will be receiving more visitors once the new airport project is completed.

It is always good to learn about events that have happened in our communities, towns, cities and country as a whole. It is very important to know the history thereof. The Dag Hammarskjoed site presents us with such an opportunity. It was very enlightening to listen to the passionate presentation of what might have happened from our tour guide. It gets to be emotional at some point but yes, we all need to see and hear about it for our selves.

This was an experience! The details of the event are still a mystery, but it was well elaborated by the guide, and I was intrigued. Make sure to watch Coldcase Hammarskjold after the visit. Do know that you'll need cash for entry fee and it was K8 when I visited as a local.

The place is rich in history, but seems neglected and not well advertised. Finding the place was a bit of a hustle and you don't find many visitors when you get there. It's practically empty.

The place is of greater historical importance. The plane carrying the UN secretary general crashed at this site. Dag Hammarskjold died at this spot. It is situated in Ndola, Zambia.

It's a great Heritage place to visit. Out tour guide was excellent. It's as if he was there when the plane crashed. The posters explain a lot about the place. The place is well kept.

  • 4/5 Lina T. 5 years ago on Google
So much history in one place

  • 3/5 Patrick C. 5 years ago on Google
The history of the site is very interesting and the guide is quite informed of the facts - and theories - of the crash. However, they are missing an opportunity by not providing literature or souvenirs of the site for sale by visitors. Also, there is not place on site to purchase food or drink even though local Rotary Clubs have provided picnic tables for anyone wanting to bring their own lunch and drinks. Again, a missed opportunity to make the site self supporting.
