As
a
Hilton
Diamond
and
Hyatt
Globalist
I
tend
to
trust
in
brand
name
properties-
therefore
we
chose
a
Radisson
Blu
resort
for
our
stay
in
Crete.
This
was
advertised
by
Secret
Escapes
as
a
5*
upscale
property
and
the
associated
pictures
looked
promising.
We
opted
for
a
Island-Suite
with
Whirlpool
&
Ocean
view,
all-inclusive.
For
a
3
night
stay
the
hotel
rate
was
close
to
€500
a
night.
As
it
was
our
10th
wedding
anniversary,
we
went
ahead
with
the
booking
and
informed
the
hotel
accordingly
(I
am
Gold
with
Radisson,
however
understand
this
was
a
3rd
party
booking)
Once
at
the
hotel,
the
check-in
was
quick,
friendly
yet
nothing
special.
The
room
looked
okay
at
first,
however
after
spending
some
time
you
noticed
the
wear
and
tear
and
lack
of
love,
especially
in
the
outdoor
area.
Definitely
not
worthy
of
5*
-
the
jacuzzi
was
not
clean,
the
upholstery
spotty
and
dirty
and
the
deck
on
the
balcony
needed
a
desperate
repair
-
screws
showing
and
potential
safety
hazard.
The
all-inclusive
drinks
at
the
bars
are
watered
down,
no
real
juice
or
alcohol-
just
artificially
sweet.
The
buffet
is
mediocre
at
best.
After
not
finding
our
welcome
gift
(bottle
of
wine)
as
declared
in
the
booking,
we
asked
the
front
desk
about
it
the
next
day.
It
was
promised
and
housekeeping
delivered
it
after
servicing
the
room.
Last
stay
at
Stella
Luxury
resort
we
were
presented
with
a
Moet
Ice
Imperial
which
retails
around
50
Euro,
for
our
stay
in
a
Grand
Island
Overwater
bungalow
for
4
days
at
a
rate
of
EUR
290/night.
Radisson
presented
us
with
a
red
wine
bottle
which
retails
for
€
2,99
-
that
speaks
for
itself
and
sums
up
the
value
of
appreciation
towards
us
as
a
guest.
An
internal
survey
asked
us
of
our
stay
experience
which
I
truthfully
answered.
See
the
answer
(enclosed
picture)
we
received
from
management
the
same
day
and

to
your
own
verdict
