If i could leave zero stars I would. I got off the phone bawling. Ive been in pain for 2 weeks, trying to see a NEW rheumatologist (my old rheumatologist was very contradicting on what he said and overall i was very uncomfortable with him). I finally got approved to see a new one, but have to wait until march. I called again asking if I could be seen any sooner, explaining I have been waking up in tears every morning in pain. I was told no, unless I choose to see my old rheumatologist. So I asked if I could just see him this one time so I can get in sooner to hopefully get this pain figured out. Also asked if i could keep my march appointment with the new doctor. I was told I can't do that because they don't want people switching back and forth. So long story short, I either have to deal with this pain till march, or see my old doctor that I am uncomfortable with, sooner, and be stuck with him. How is that okay? Oh and I was also hung up on at the end of the call because I was obviously getting very upset, and accidentally used a choice word. The lady I talked to made it very clear that my well being is not cared about at all. I will never step foot back in this place.

They saved my life in 1999, now I'm trying to work with my insurance to change everything AWAY from the Theda network! How sad is that?! They bill for an appointment then a month later you get another & a month later you get another. They play games with appointments to just keep you coming in. I also ask "do I have to fast" for a blood draw, they say "no," & then I get a ton of red flags on my results & get referred to a ton of specialists $$, good thing I did research, these tests REQUIRE fasting to get accurate results. One thing after another, they are no longer what they used to be!

Worst hospital ever! Drove 4 hours with the great grand kids to say goodbye to grandma who was dying in this hospital. After about 2 hours of hanging out, and them having meetings we were told we have to leave. Never got the chance to say goodbye. We were told that the grand kids were disrupting patient health. And got no options to say goodbye. This place is full of whining nurses and people with no compassion

TONS of unethical practice happening at this hospital, not to mention the rude nurses. Will be reporting to the state AND I have names. Cannot even imagine treating people the way I have been treated. I understand nurses are burnt out and have a tough job, but remember chronic pain patients are in pain and this is their life. When patients call their primary drs and specialists and they tell their patients to go to the er, there is no other option for help. Its go or stay home and suffer. nobody comes to the er for fun. Please if you are nurse and read this remember to have compassion and not judge others. and please, ADVOCATE for your patients.

Nurses took forever to send in someone for an CT scan for my head.(Was not busy either) Throughout the time there I had also only seen the doctor one time when I got there and one last time before I was sent home and needed to get my nose glued or stitched. (But he was nice)There was no nurses that would come in to atleast check how I was doing after the officer had left my side and had to leave.

Theda Clark used to be the best hospital in all aspects. I recently have had to call the billing department and cannot believe what passes these days as adequate customer assistance much less good assistance. The girl in the billing department today, "Aurora" (not kidding), was so snippy and snotty, talking over my voice, saying "yup" for "yes" (apparently they don't teach proper phone etiquette at Theda Clark anymore), and saying she has "no idea" why the provider was not put through my insurance since they are separate. She may very well have "no idea" but there is a better manner of talking to people paying very large bills! Very poor manners for someone in billing. Even if they did put the billing through to the provider, which I question; all of her fast talking and snotty replies were NOT appropriate. Please get people in there who respect the position and the patients who pay their wage. UPDATE: The billing I inquired about was not sent to insurance, nor was it mentioned before I left the ER. If Theda care wonders why their bills ate not paid promptly, maybe they should check with their desk personnel to make sure bills are sent to insurance or they tell the patient it's their responsibility.

One star is far too much for what I just witnessed this past Saturday night. (7/2/22) As the elevator doors opened, the stench on the floor was unbearable. I could have driven a bulldozer down the hall without encountering a single person. Nurses’ stations were empty, call lights flashed outside almost every single room I had to pass, and an alarm was signaling for someone who attempted to get out of bed on their own. My heart goes out to not only the unfortunate patients who are stuck in these tortuous conditions, or the family/friends who must feel the same horrendous sense of guilt that I did with leaving these loved ones there, but the poor overworked staff forced to go on and try to help the people in their care. This is not a COVID issue! It’s the head honchos deciding they need to add on more rooms, remodel offices, keep up those public appearances, while completely ruining their staff’s numbers and wringing out every last drop of morale in their weary bodies. It’s no wonder the burnout is real. This was a real life picture of hell.

Explanations here are considered you coming at the staff as they say your coming at me when you're explaining something this place doesn't seem normal at all it's like walking in to the twilight zone there just as bad as a inflamed hemorrhoid. Emergency room is slow and yes they make you wait for hours emergency is emergency where people need to be taken care of right away that is why they go there to the emergency room it should just be called the waiting room.

What a difference in ER doctors! Dr Hugo was awesome, but the guy, who appeared to be a doctor - Srikar Karanam, was rude and unprofessional. This doctor could use a course in how to develop a better bedside manner! I hope he doesn't treat all his patients like he treated me! I am really grateful that when I truly needed a good doctor - Dr. Hugo was on duty that day. During my inpatient stay on the 5th floor - all my nurses and hospitalists were fantastic and I appreciate all that they did for me. The one star review is for Karanam, otherwise it would have been a five star!

Went to the emergency room with my son and sat for 4 hours just for them to clear some wax out of his ear with a hose. Something we could have easily done at home but were advised to go to the emergency room. They charged him $1,500 for the whole 4 hour visit which it took them 5 minutes when they finally got the hose to get the wax out. They need to think about taking the word ‘care’ out of ‘Thedacare’.

Nice place with great friendly staff. The only issue was the huge ER wait since they got a bunch of trauma victims and didn't have enough rooms so it was pretty understandable. The staff were amazing and they were trying their best to do anything they could to help everyone. One nurse in particular stood out by going above and beyond checking on all the patients that weren't even hers and was very helpful with all my questions and getting things done quicker. I wish I had gotten her name because she was wonderful.

The hospital is good so far... I would rate it 4/5. Yes, waiting is long, but so far, the staff that we have met are nice. ER rate is 3/5. Not bad, nor good experience. We came around 8pm with our daughter, who, 9, broke her arm. Waited til 1am... finally after seeing everyone else who was there before us gone in and leave I told the nurse we have been waiting for 5 hrs, and these are all new people sitting and waiting. They finally got us into the ER side but in their small extra waiting room because they didn't have any rooms open. The doctor who we saw he was super friendly and helpful. I would rate him 5/5. Another time was our 9 month old being sick, we were worried and being after hours our nurse on call from his doctor told us to go in. So we did...waited little over 1 hour...experience was good. Nurses were helpful. The two young male doctors were on the floor, kinda awkward with them. ER needs alot of help. The experience with the elderly receptionist in the front with the pixie dark blonde/brown lady is a different rating, 2/5. She is one of those " if it's her fault she will change the words to blame you" kind of person.

Had to send my father there. I am his medical POA. Communication was garbage. The nurses were top notch , but the surgeon demeanor towards my father was offensive, they shipped him back to his assisted living facility without a follow up plan or without my knowledge, only with a cancer diagnosis. I would call to complain but you can’t reach anyone anyway. I’m so offended and pissed I would probably lose my temper if I was in their presence. Completely unprofessional.

I had to get extensive sinus surgery here, something I have been waiting a long time for. The ENT office said that Thetacare would reach out to me a few days prior to surgery to let me know what time the procedure would be scheduled for. I never heard from them, so I called myself. The lady on the phone was very friendly! She told me it would be at 7:20. The next morning, before surgery, I got a call asking where I was. I was in the shower at the time, so I had to call back. This time, whoever was on the phone was VERY rude. She said “you were *supposed* to be here at 5:30.” I was honestly shocked by this since I had NEVER been given that info. I told her as such, that the helpful person on the phone yesterday told me 7:20?! Then, this nurse blankly said “we’ll see you soon.” and hung up. Unbelievable. The person that connected me to this nurse on the phone was very rude as well. The planning and scheduling here is so unorganized, and the way I was treated on the phone really sucked. It isn’t my fault that this hospital never reached out, or gave me the wrong time (?). Surgery went well, and most of the nurses I met in person were wonderful! But other than that, the whole thing was such a mess to figure out. I work in customer service too, I understand that sometimes people make you want to rip your hair out. That’s no excuse to hang up on somebody who needed some help.

I went here to visit my dieing grandma just to find out that when she Need emergency medical assistance she pressed the call button and nobody came not to mention the rude staff outdated medical equipment and the outdated hallways that make you feel like It is the 1920s the main entrance was good but most of the parts of the hospital were the patients are kept are in bad conditions would recommend going to st Elizabeth hospital in Appleton instead much better care and better environment

Just wanted to call and find out if a friend, who cannot speak, was up for a visit. The choices for every phone number listed were "billing, speak to a nurse about symptoms, make an appt, human resources, etc." How does a person get to speak to a nurse's station? Not user friendly.

I wanted to say something about the Valet service. I was in out patient surgery with my sister yesterday. (7/12) It was pouring rain, and the Valet driver, (Steve) went over and above his service. My sister forgot her pillow in the car, and Steve offered to go out and get it for me. It was so unexpected and nice, I wanted to give him some credit. Thank you!

I'm so upset. I came here by ambulance from New London and was admitted here Monday night. This place has gone right to hell. Snappy nurses, call bells not getting answered and people not trained. Casey told me she was put on the floor as training..no classroom work. And this place is filthy. Since Monday there have been drops of dried blood on the floor. I'm leaving today and there still there. I'm waiting to leave but I won't go until they figure what happened to my diamond earrings. They never gave them to my husband!9 in

This was the worst experience ever at a hospital of this size! I don't know what happened! I had, years ago a great experience here with surgery & recovery. But this time my husband had brain surgery!! No communicatio!. No one talked to the previous nurse. What happened to report out?? I told everyone I saw over & over again the same info!! The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Then the just kicked him out to a faculty not equipped for his long term needs of 12 months! Which may be longer than that!!

I was just there in May 2023, the doctors and nurses were very friendly and courteous to my needs, they had extremely good food that you could simply order for yourself by dialing a couple of numbers, I was only there for a little over 24 hours, however what really impressed me was the fact that I could not find a ride home right away as I live near new London, so they let me stay much longer than needed and when I could not get a hold of a friend who had a vehicle they paid for a taxi to drop me off at home and they paid for it, my experience was all good.

tried to sell something for over 5,000 dollars that wasn't needed trying to fix something that wasn't broke. and then another time they couldn't figure out what to do with someone that was choking and they made them try to swallow dyed water to see where the dyed water goes on their expensive test machines which costed over 1,000 dollars for some reason. only go to the hospital if you know exactly what you need and make sure they don't sell you anything else. They will put money first before patient comfort and health every time.

Dr Discher in the ER is informative, nice and has a good bedside manner. He was on top of my symptoms. The nurses are amazing as well. My nurse, April was exceptional. Definitely a good experience and that's hard to find in the Appleton area.

We had an amazing experience here. Every doctor, anesthesiologist, and nurse was so helpful and patient and went above and beyond in making the birth of our baby a positive memory. They were so knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and spent so much time in our room making sure we knew how to correctly swaddle, nurse, etc, so we could go home feeling confident. Our nurses were Nicole, Sara, Taylor, Hailey & Katie. We actually enjoyed the food which was great because we had a 3 night stay. I had no issues with the bed but also had extra pillows for comfort. I had multiple lactation consultants come help as well as tons of other resources offering help and additional education. Although we didn’t need it, it was reassuring to have the NICU on-site.

My wife and I welcomed our second daughter on 8/31/21. Just like our oldest, that experience was great. Nurses were amazing and compassionate during the labor and delivery process and very attentive post delivery through discharge. Unfortunately our oldest had a febrile seizure for the first time today, 9/5/21 which was scary for us as parents to say the least. So back to Theda we went. This time, the ER staff were phenomenal and made a scary experience manageable for us all. You guys truly do have hero’s working there. Hero’s that can make both an exciting yet nerve racking experience like childbirth all the way to an outright terrifying incident like we had today more manageable. Thank you for all you guys do not only for my family, but for anyone who you care for!

Went in for surgery, my husband was supposed to have been sent text messages as to the progression of it and never received any. He had to go ask the registration clerk what was going on because there wasn't anyone at the surgical desk. When i woke up in recovery suddenly my husband 2 nurses hospital administration, supervisor of surgery and a nevro rep were in my room. Because my husband complained. This should not have happened in my room. I was bleeding, they had to call my Dr in who asked every one to leave. Then I had to had 3 more staples put in my back. Not at all a good experience.

Went to their ER for my toddler's seizures as directed by a pediatrician. The provider laughed at me saying there was nothing he could do for a child with seizures in an ER and then Thedacare charged me for a Level 4 visit - which is extremely expensive. No services or tests were provided for my child. When I call to question the bill, I got redirected to provider complaints. Very dishonest organization and I feel like I was both lied to and stolen from. Thankfully, Children's in Milwaukee was wonderful and checked us in that evening. My son was diagnosed with General epilepsy by the next day. I would caution going to Thedare in Neenah for any pediatric needs. If you do, be ready for a ridiculous bill and a company that gives you the runaround if you question it.
