I have rented from most car hire companies and can say,without doubt, this is the worst. They would rather rip people off than provide a car. I’ve hired Premio 2015 car for 16 days including airport pickup and drop. My return flight was in night. After handing over the car to dealer he walked around the car & nothing found to claim as damage or scratch and then pointed out small dent in hood...! He touched that particular place and said feel dent over there. I’m surprised because I didn’t see anything and pretty sure nothing happened during the rental period. Moreover it was suspicious for me because he found that specific area in dark time using lamp light and which can’t see even in naked eyes..! After some arguments, I understood that it was trump for claim some additional profit..! Finally it's end up with deducting some money from my refundable deposit. I will never rent from them again.

Let me start off by saying I'm not a frequent renter. My company rented a car for me for a special project. I got to Transit Rent A Car and had the best experience. They have a medium selection of vehicles. All the employees and manager are very professional and at the same time personal. I think I can speak for a lot of people who like to be in their own car. I have rented cars from Transit Rent A Car & Tour, for the past 5 or 6 years. Their location is bit far away to the terminal but they are transfered the car to our location from their office on nominal fee. I have always had great service from the staff. They are always courteous and helpful. I have never had any issue whatsoever. Very well satisfied.

Great local company. Got to drive a Mercedes-Benz C class for the same price other companies had compact cars for. It wasn't brave new and had some wear and tear, but it was still a great car to drive. The only issue was that the windshield wipers had clearly not been checked/replaced for a long time and weren't really functional. Hopefully they have added that to their checklist after my conversation with them. I'd be happy to rent from them again.

I highly recommend TRANSIT RENT A CAR & TOUR. We hired a car for 10 days. It was clean, had plenty of boot space and didn’t skip a beat. We were picked up from the airport by one of the friendly staff in our hire car with car seats installed for our kids and dropped off again at the end so we didn’t have to move our luggage and children into a shuttle bus. The charged extra for baby seats, also external navigation and well maintain and 0 issue on our tour. Excellent service! Thank you!!

Our Company, would highly recommended this company Transit Rent A Car and Tour, to everyone to visit Sri Lanka. The company helped us in with suggestions, links on must visit places in Sri Lanka .The driver Danusan and Safraz (guide), were just so lovely and friendly! took us wherever we wanted to go and even helped us with any problems we had . Got on really well with our little baby. . The fares for our Tour Van called Toyota KDH are reasonable as compared to other tour operators. We had a very good experience, renting a car from Transit rental. We came from Canada and drove all the way around the island of Sri Lanka. The car was not a new car but it was definitely solid. We had no problems. The price was fair. The owner met us at the airport and everything went smoothly and when we left, we drop the car off with him at the airport I would definitely rent again from transit rent a car.

Amazing experience. The team was super cooperative and always in touch with us. The car was old so it had it’s set of issues in terms of the lights etc. otherwise, if you can opt for a bigger and newer car, that will be great. Overall, beautiful experience. I had a good experience., I received a good Red car. They were flexible and provided excellent customer service. I picked up the car around 12 PM, and they didn't charge me for that day. The charges only applied from the next date onwards. I would recommend using their services., I had no issues with them or the Car., Just be cautious while renting cars, take photographs of any damages, and inspect the vehicle thoroughly.
