Had an incredible dinner at CLUB Ceylon earlier this month with my parents. The food was incredible, the service, the building, the table setting were all very high quality. Wanted to eat everything on the menu. Will definitely recommend this place for a dinner and worth making a trip there to experience it.

This restaurant is completely delightful. The food is creative and the atmosphere perfect for a chill afternoon with friends or a romantic dinner with a partner. It’s clear that a lot of care and thought has gone into creating this experience. We had a variety of small dishes and all were excellent. BYOB with small corkage fee.

A hidden gem in Negombo with mouthwatering Mediterranean seafood dishes. The ambience is very charming and welcoming. Cozy & romantic too. Hospitable owner & staff, scrumptious dishes and the best Amaretto ice cream. I recommend Club Ceylon to everybody! Can't wait for my next visit.

We had a really nice evening here! The ambiance is cozy, and the owner that was helping us is super friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide variety of fresh seafood dishes. We ordered a couple of small plates such as the calamari, ceviche and croquettes and then 2 seafood pasta’s. All were very tasteful. Would definitely recommend!

THE BEST seafood experience in town. Tapas menu restaurant. Seafood and other ingredients are freshly sourced on a daily basis. The best fish and chips I've ever tried. Batter is super crispy and fresh. Paprika prawn is heavenly and mouth watering. Service is commendable. A must try for all locals and the foreigners who visit Sri Lanka who are keen on trying best and mouthwatering seafood. Atmospheric place with soft music. A Colonial building with a heritage. Impressive stuff overall! An attentive owner and the staff!

My wife and I visited CLUB Ceylon for my birthday and we had a great meal. While the menu is simple, the dishes were excellent and are also subject to availability of local produce. We loved the location and it's homely vibe as well. Totally worth the drive to Negombo for a refined dining experience!

Fantastic and original seafood lunch, served in a quaint, hipster vibing colonial mansion, by a dedicated and passionate staff. Way to go and keep going Chef Elizabeth and team! Can’t wait to come back. The paprika prawns 100/100 (beware of splatter!). The crudo and ceviche also stars of the show. I recommend everything. Ask for bread with the prawns if you get it. The sauce is delicious.

Great place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very elegant. The sign said reservations required but our party traveling from out of town was grated with open arms as walk-ins (they just opened). I am not an adventurous seafood person so I was super skeptical of the menue. I settled on fish and chips and Wow! It was a great meal. Great, fresh flavors, clean battered fish. My friends all good seafood dishes with no complaints. We all left pretty happy with our choice!

This restaurant is such a fantastic place! We had dinner here. The colonial house with tropical plants and roof fans fused with modern art paintings made a flare of the old colonial times. Service was elegant and patient. Food combines several European styles but using fresh local sea food. How could it not, if the famous fish market is only several blocks away? The paprika prawns were cooked on point, tender and flavorful, a bit salty though. The Winkels were recommended by the chef, which turned out amazing - french style sea snails. Chared bread came with home made butter whipped with sea weed and parsley. The butter was such a strike of genius! The ink pasta was freshly made with local lagoon crab meat, nice combination! However, it could be lighter and less salty. I couldn’t taste the lemon in the sauce, may it could come little more at the end? Overall it was a really nice experience in this heartily decorated place with a well-designed menu.

I have no doubt, this is One of the best seafood restaurants in the country. We were blown away by the quality and variety of seafood dishes they offer. The menu had a great variety of dishes ranging from classic tapas like Caviche to a unique and creative fresh seafood dishes. Each dish was presented beautifully and had a unique flavor profile that made it stand out. Try their squid ink croquets with octopus and thank me later. 😉 The service was impeccable, with friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff who were able to recommend the perfect dishes to suit our tastes. The presentation of the dishes was amazing, with each one being arranged in a visually appealing manner. Overall, I loved my experience at the CLUB. Ceylon and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood. The quality of food, friendly service, and inviting ambiance make it an ideal place for a meal with friends or a romantic dinner date with your significant other. Cheers 🥂

Club Ceylon is the best seafood restaurant in Sri Lanka. The food is incredible and the place and ambience is so beautiful - simple, yet elegant. The owner and head chef, Liz is lovely to chat to too. I can’t recommend this place enough. Best is to order several small plates and share it all. The ceviche, paprika prawns, clams, actually everything :-) would be my favourite.

So good! The place is so cozy with a lovely interior and the service was excellent. We tried 4 different starters and the croquettes, the ceviche and the emperor fish tartare were excellent! We both wanted to try the octopus as our main and it had a nice smoky taste and paired well with the potatoes but was eclipsed by the starters. For dessert we had the narang tart which was massive, definitely for sharing! Cream was very light and fluffy, the base was a little hard. Overall it was a great dining experience. Came to roughly 12k pp (2pax). Prices are steep but seafood in general is expensive these days. Everything is pretty rich so sharing is advised.

Great hospitality, great food, great atmosphere. 1st time we’ve been here but definitely not the last. In fact so good we’ve booked lunch. The only truly dedicated fish restaurant in Negombo. Located in an impressive colonial house on Main Street, we highly recommend this restaurant for locals and tourists who love good food in a sophisticated location but at very reasonable prices. The service and hospitality is 1st rate. Well done Club Ceylon!!

The seafood is so fresh and the whole restaurant is stunning. Stumbled across this restaurant on my travels across Sri Lanka. The owner is very hands on and came to say hello while we were dining one evening. She explained her origins and how she picks the seafood fresh daily from the local market. We had an exceptional dinner and was sad we were only passing through negombo foe a few days as would happily dine there again. We will be recommend this to friends who are travelling to Sri Lanka.

Club Ceylon is such a little treat just outside of the city. We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time here! They have absolutely nailed the concept of simple, understated yet undoubtedly delicious seafood. I went with my partner on a date night and it was so romantic — especially so when the candles were lit during a power outage. Just relax, unwind and enjoy the candles, the music and the food.

If you like seafood, you need to go to Club Ceylon! Their seafood is as fresh as it can get, the atmosphere is wonderful and service is always with a smile. Their tapas style menu is a treat - every dish we tried was fantastic! Freshest oysters, flavour packed prawns and cuttlefish, clams served with crusty bread for dipping… yum! But the star of the night were the lobster tails served in simple, superbly-balanced orange & fennel sauce - brilliantly done! Already looking forward to the next visit!

CLUB Ceylon is probably one of the best seafood restaurants in all of Sri Lanka. Period. We went there for a very intimate dinner. The seafood was so fresh you could taste that freshness in every bite. It's a tapas menu which gives you the option to try a few dishes. That said, each dish is sufficiently portioned to be a meal in itself. The tiger prawns were succulent, fresh and flavoursome. The braised octopus had the right texture and was unique on the pallete. The dish we loved the most was the squid ink lobster pasta! A definite must-try. The homemade ice creams were also lovely. So much so that I devoured it amidst having a light cold. We also loved the beautiful colonial vibe of the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience!

I’ve been at Club Ceylon twice and I can’t tell you how fantastic the food is. Liz has literally cooked up something so special here, that we just can’t get enough of it. This is the perfect treat to share with friends, it’s a welcome short trip away from Colombo. We always end up ordering almost everything on the menu, and sending back completely cleaned up plates. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Didn’t expect a restaurant like this in Negombo! Every dish is just right in portion, taste so good, really good! We ate almost everything on the menu, except the pasta. And we cleared up every single plate! The oyster is so fresh! We have to order one more round! Then we have the Clam, OMG! The Paprika Prawn, OMG! And the most amazing one - Braised Squid with Chickpea in Ink. I was so hesitating to order as I’m not a chickpea fan, we tried anyway and we cleared the plate! We should have the Octopus before the Braised Squid, so the Octopus won’t be getting a weeny bit dull. Ice cream, I’m a huge fan! I can tell that Hazelnut flavor! You gotta try! And the texture is smoother than gelato! How is that possible!? The owner said the menu would change every week! So don’t wait!

Small but perfectly formed seafood tapas in lovely, restored old colonial house. Small plates and big service.

Over Rated…. Visited this place after reading some reviews, but I honestly feel that it’s overrated. The seafood was fresh but not worth the price, even bottled drinks were more than twice the MRP. Being in negombo they could’ve done better on seafood. Price would not be an issue if they could match that with quantity or taste, but neither was done right. Waiter mixed up our order twice, and it was delayed a lot. The place and ambience is nice, but the seating was not comfortable at all, the table and plates were wobbling throughout.
