The drive that starts from the town of Nenmara has about 10 hairpin bends that one must negotiate to reach the destination but the view more than makes up for it. The Pothundy Dam that lies on this path also provides for a great family picnic spot. One gets a beautiful view of the entire of Palakkad district on this route and it is a trip that must be made at all costs.

Nelliampathy one of the must visit places in kerala . Where you can enjoy the dense forest, the cool breeze, a kind of hillsation . A great place for those who like to be close to nature. Nelliyampathy is nested within the Western Ghats. On the way one can spot the hills that are decorated with a wonderful sight of tea, coffee, cardamom and Orange plantations. The plantation and the surrounding Western ghats are amazing to perceive and perfect to photograph. The iconic landmark is the gooseberry tree, which has been attracting many travelers and nature enthusiasts.

“Nature is treasure.Save it for pleasure” this word doesn’t suit to this place only because of we humans. You can see plastic waste littering all over the area.Neliyampathy is home to many wildlife’s and dumping of plastic waste poses threat to them. Its a mini ooty and you can find so many waterfalls, economical resorts, wildlife spotting, tea and orange plantations. Its must visit place especially for families n all.Lastly “Drive safely while coming to this place”

Nelliyampathy is located in Palakkad district of Kerala. Hours long roadtrip takes you to a very pleasant and enriching experience. Home of oranges and with vast areas of tea estates this place is really refreshing. Few minutes of walking takes you to the top and there lies the entire country at your foot..!! Climbing down the mountain thru the dense forests takes us to a beautiful water fall indeed one of the beautiful touch of natur.

Seetharkundu where one can have a fantastic view of the valley and a 100-m high waterfall providing an added attraction. From Palagapandy, one can trek or go by jeep to reach Mampara .The Pothundy Dam is a beautiful locale with facilities for boating and is a nice option as a picnic place. Great place the visual treat is worth the off road jeep rides. We need to hire a jeep to reach the view points Minnampara and Mattu para. The ride is through forests and it seems you can spot animals if you go early in the morning. Nelliyampathy is an ideal spot for eco-tourism and romantic getaways. The hill station is blessed with lush green trees and plantations. This makes Nelliyampathy attractions a picture-friendly tourist destination.

The place has a stunning view at top. It gives us a feeling that we are on top of the world. I personally felt like I am seeing a satellite view of the place through google map. There was a barricade that restricts the access to certain areas but the view could be better there as it is a better spot. But due to safety issues those were closed

I love this place. May be because its near to me. The roads are narrow. Less crowded. You can stop in between enjoy the view. There are lookout points at major points with parking facility. The roads are windy nd cracks are there at few areas.

Beautiful place to visit. Such a nice climate and view points. If planning for one day trip, one should reach there early then only we can enjoy everything including the Pothundi dam. Because mostly by 5PM (it depends) forest guard's jeep starts to the peak to evacuate everyone other than ones staying in resort there. Also Pothundi dam visit time ends by 5.40 PM. So to enjoy fully, must reach the forest check post at the opening time itself. Tea and coffee plantations were bliss to the eyes. Everyone must visit once to enjoy the beauty of Nature.

Nelliyampathy is a hilly area with beautifull view points and waterfalls. Unfortunately we visited in january. Water falls were very thin. Sitharkund and kesavan para were the two view point we visited. Both are beautifull.

Neliampathy a best place for nature lovers… a calm and serene place with very few people… the mist the mountains and the bumpy ride to reach the spot adds extra points to this wonderful… No shops available nearby but it is the best spot you can associate with nature. You have to use jeep service to reach this points which costs around 1500 for 7 member which is 1 jeep. This cost is in may 2023.

This once-hidden hill in Palakkad is not so hidden now. The main attraction of Nelliyampathy is the Sertharkund view point and Manpara off-roading. Nothing much otherwise. If you’re in Palakkad and have a day to spend , you can go for a drive here, but not worth planing a trip from outside Palakkad specifically to this place.

Best place to visit for one or two days tour. Now the climate is very nice. Fog can found even noon. Tea estates are very much excited. Varieties of tea products are available at AVT tea outlet. Poabs Garden is very attractive. Seetharkund and Suicide points are inside the garden. Kesavan para is another attraction here. We can see Pothundi Dam from here.Very nice view.
