    If I stay in your property, it will be amazing with all the amenities and lively activities. However, your staff I spoke to this afternoon had an unprofessional and terrible response to my call. If she has an idea about the inquiry, don’t stop the guest by saying, “yes, I know what you are going to stay or asking because every phone call Is about the same thing, etc. “ well, that’s your job to take all inquiries, etc. you need to meet the Accor heartiest training, value, etc. that every guest can be Accor plus member or staff who you have no idea. Disappointing behavior.

    Rooms are old. The toilets too. If you ever need to flush your toilet for the second time, Wait for two days. No fresh linens at the door step every day. Do your washing yourself 😜. At this price point you will have other options. The pool is nice. The heated portion of pool is always full of people. When we went in the room there was the smell of food every where in the room left by the previous occupants. Parking access from the lift is good.

    The rooms were alright but the receptionists were extremely rude and disrespectful. We heard them mention to other guests that “they want to get rid of us”. We presented them with NSW stay vouchers and they were not happy because this created extra work for them to enter them into their system to redeem them . They also assumed and accused us of using parents vouchers without checking the actual vouchers. Their customer service was extremely poor. We also felt intimidated to ask them any questions as they were not treating us with respect and we felt humiliated in front of other guests. I thereby request the management to take action on the receptionists who worked on 8/10/22 at 4pm. This really will ensure the guests attend to your hotels on future without feeling unwelcomed. They kept mentioning about a few things that were not in the policy. We are happy to be contacted if further information is required.

    We found the whole experience mean. They make all the check in online and won't speak to you until it's completed. The rooms were freezing cold in winter even with the heater running, and we were told that if we wanted blankets we should have come and hired them during the day. The pool isn't heated either. Better value down at the Nelson Hotel

    We were extremely disappointed at the cleanliness of our flat. The previous family's hair were everywhere, dead insects in our beds. Old food between the couch cushions. The patio was probably cleaned months ago, cobwebs everywhere. And the so called heated pool is just false advertisement, the ocean was warmer than the pool. We expected more from Mantra...

    Ticks all the boxes. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Location is good, all amenities are within. The entire complex is non smoking. Walking distance to main town/wharf. The room could be cleaner and the room has foul smell.

    If you want to go to a hotel this is not the place, these units a surelly owned by different people and Mantra administrate them. No room service, no food available to order. The room was old. The best characteristic is the location, three blocks walking and you are in the center of Nelson Bay. Enjoy!

    Stayed for 2 nights and had 2 work one of the days. Cooked in the room the first night and walked to dinner the second night. Swam several times.and used the pool. Great price for the room and the location. Undercover parking. Easy walk to food, water and Woolworths.

    How I wish I can rate this hotel zero star. Don’t know how they get their four stars rating from. Can’t believe we had cold water shower in winter. Unwashed pillow case with stain. Tv remote doesn’t work. Throw your own trash. Hair dryer with dust.Dirty toilet. Won’t visit again.

    Wonderful place to relax and unwind or do what ever. Pool, spa onsite, shops right on top of you and the views with the sunset are magic. Makes this a place to visit anytime of the year. Thank you Mantra for the upgrade aswell, it was fantastic 😁

    We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a pool view and harbour glimpses. Couldn't fault it. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and cafes. Great place to stay

    Lovely staff, very helpful, beautiful area to stay and visit, room could do with a renovate as it’s getting old but was clean and very spacious and comfy, undercover parking at no extra charge. Would def stay here again.

    Would not classify this as 4 star hotel by any means. Front desk staff did not want to check me in/take payment over the counter, instead directed me to complete the online check in process multiple times while I was standing at the counter asking to check in. The staff member said the reason for this was so that they "do not have to touch anything" of mine - assuming for Covid purposes. This was completely ridiculous when it is the purpose of reception to complete check-in and hand over unit keys which entails passing keys/brochures over to me and therefore making contact with me. In light of customer service and how much life has moved forward after Covid - this was a ridiculous situation to be faced with. There was an issue with the fan/light in one of the bedrooms, the light was turning on in the middle of the night for an unknown reason. Perhaps a conflict in the remote control with unit above or electrical wiring issue. A light fitting in the hallway of unit was not fitted correctly and looked as though it would fall off the ceiling at any moment. The standard of unit bathrooms is not great, cupboard doors and showers not very clean. No servicing of units during the stay and there was a note in the unit stating they expect the rubbish bins to be emptied by the guests upon departing... umm... what?! In a "4 star" accomodation?! The location is very good and pool/BBQ areas lovely.

    Great location near shops and food. We have stayed before and was excellent. Rooms were good sized but the bathroom on this trip was not what I would expect from the Mantra brand. Pool is heated and great for the kids. Overall good was really the bathroom that let the place down.

    Disappointed with our room. We booked Mantra as a reputable brand but the rooms were not at the standard expected. The rooms are in desperate need of updating, general maintenance and a good thorough deep clean. The dryer filter is broken but has been fixed with a rubber band, pots and pans are old. The kitchen has just very basic things. Furniture is old. I’d stay at an Airbnb next time which is usually better equipped for a family with young kids.

    Reasonably clean and tidy. Kids enjoys the pool and spa. Rooms and living areas were comfy. Only down side it was very noisy with people shouting and banging stuff also with cars in and out throughout the night. It didn’t help our room was close to the entrance/exit gate. Overall, good location friendly staff

    We enjoyed our stay at Mantra Aqua Nelson Bay the Apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for the week and the resort Pool & heated Spa was very relaxing, the only thing they didn’t have was a dedicated smoking area for my wife, but other than that everything else was good. 😊

    Great location for holiday. Kids love it. Really appreciate the parking spaces reserved for each apartment. Especially having 2 parking spaces for a 3 bedroom unit. I have never seen anything like this before. Absolutely love it. Great receptionist as well. You can tell she was genuinely friendly

    Always are welcome by the outstanding staff.The resort is well appointed with amazing proximity to town,restaurants and water.The pool and spa are well maintained. Undercover secure parking is excellent and security is a priority at the resort. Cannot fault it.Will be back soon.

    Great place to stay large pool and barbecue area. 5 minute walk to bowling club and up to 7 minute walk to shops, takeaway, cafes restaurant and beach also Jet ski hire no license required (worth it) Nelson Bay. 10 minute drive away you can hire paddle boards and Kayaks. Perfect location.

    Fantastic location and met with very friendly and helpful staff. We were in the older side of the apartment blocks but still very clean and presentable. Only suggestion would be in the bathroom. From a safety perspective, if your going to have shower over bath as your only bathroom definitely install a grab rail Mantra. The height of the bathtub was almost knee height and I'm 5ft 8. Only closest thing is the hand towel ring or rail. People are going to rip these off the wall as well as have a bad fall.

    The place was good with almost nothing to do. Games room has been closed since a long time. Pool is too cold, and spa is not too warm( the only thing to spend time ). Hotel is no- smoking everywhere, not even in the balcony. Even the pool towel is for rent.

    Stayed here for a few days and experience was excellent l. Staff are all friendly and the rooms are modern and clean. Excellent location and all local amenities are just a short walk. Would 100% recommend.

    size of apartments is generous however it is apparent that attention to detail is really missing with this accommodation. Stains on the kids pillow cases and sheets and no doonas or thick blankets provided it’s the middle of winter and all they had is a flat sheet and a blanket that smelt like it had not been washed between use or stays. Air conditioner / heater was pulled apart and the air vent parts left laying on the floor so couldn’t use that, and dishwasher sounded like it was going to explode when in use. The rooms smell very average and I just think there’s a real lack of care and unfortunately I just wouldn’t stay again. Very average

    Very pleasantly surprised. Comfy spacious clean and generously appointed apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet location and loved our private bushland outlook. Undercover parking appreciated.

    A reasonably priced and excellently located hotel that seems to be in a period of transition in some locations around the hotel. The staff were lovely and the rooms seem reasonable for location and price. The main streets are within walking distance and it's all very walkable! Great for a long weekend away with or without the family.

    The rooms were nice, clean and spacious, the layout simple to navigate. The only thing that docked a point was the blankets. Though it was the start of winter, it was still pretty cold and the beds only had some very thin sheet like blankets. We had to request extras as multiple members of our party were up most of the first night shivering, even with the central heating on.
