Unsanitary and smells like a musty wet towel that’s festered for months with a open can of tuna. Really needs a good scrub up. But it’s cheap…

They have closed 6 months ago and didn't inform to guests. We have to find another accommodation for two families on same day.

Room smelt like if coconuts and ginger were blended together with a hint of fish paste and oyster sauce, it was gross in there. Don’t recommend

Reception was friendly. Room was warm and dry. Big bed was very soft and you could hear movement through the ceiling and walls. Sheets were nice :) Ok for a night, fine if you are on a budget. Ok facilities.

Very bad experience. I booked for one day. They used my credit card number changed me 3 different Day's money. I asked for money back that I still haven't received my money after one month.

It was good until the racket of shouting and screaming started in the wee small hours. Had our door kicked during the night and woke to broken glass in the hallway after a door was kicked in! Our 2 grandsons weren't happy staying longer as we Had booked 2 nights but only stayed 1. Did get a refund and an apology though!

"Go buy yourself a heater, I've got no money and the boss isn't here" was the best part of today. This place is a last resort. Location is only good thing, central Nelson. Having been here before, I learnt that I only stay as last resort. This trip, No heater (there was a portable heater when I came in March) No lightbulbs working in kitchenette, &only 3 out of 8 bulbs worked. Provided 1small hand towel in bathroom, which had most stupid shower "curtain" (see pic) Had to go to reception to request a towel, was told she'd bring it up (which she did, can't say she was apologetic, seemed more annoyed having to bring me a towel at approx 9am. Then when I mentioned again in regards to no heater, not even an extra blanket for bed, and the lightbulbs not working, I was told "The boss isn't here" "He wants to get oil heaters for the rooms" and my favourite: "go buy yourself a heater" At least I haven't been bitten, yet. Last time the room's carpet was infested with fleas or similar, had bites all up my feet and legs. BEWARE, CHECK ROOM BEFORE ACCEPTING AND PAYING. THERE'S NO VALUE FOR MONEY HERE. IT'S A GOOD CHEAP PRICE, BUT REALLY IS ONLY WORTH 20 PER NIGHT, ESPECIALLY WITH NO HEATER IN WINTER. disclaimer: hold any of this against me when it's the truth, and I will publish the videos and audio recordings I have from this and last time I stayed. I expect people to decide for themselves, but like to make my experience known, to help others with real, not sugar-coated information.

Absolutely disgusting place first room we were in was disgusting mould on bathroom ceilings needed a good clean still throughout. Lights didnt work to fix problem decided to tape the breaker on when that didnt work were given different rooms again disgusting dirty mouldy one of our room had ants crawling over kitchen sink and area. Also found old bandage stuck to base of bed. Do not recommend i would stay as far away as possible.

Trouble with pre-arranged early check-in, room was not clean, long dark hair all through the bathroom. Great location and comfortable beds with clean sheets. Just over all cleanliness and organisation was super disappointing.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE, so unsafe and unclean. Mould, dirty bedding, a door between our room and others. People running and screaming around the place. Locks not very secure only lasted 30 minutes and asked for refund and the guy agreed. We have now been chasing him for a month and he keeps lying about it being done. Asked him to email booking place and cc us in and he said yes. I texted him the email address and he blocked my number. He is a fraud and just collecting money for people that can't stay there.

We had booked a lovely unit which we saw on their website. When we arrived there was no-one to book us in and our key was left on the counter with my name on it. Climbed a few flights of stairs to our room but when we went inside we could not believe how old and worn everything was. The bed had seen better days as had the shower and furnishings. We were very disappointed so locked up and put the key back in the office then went and found a lovely clean room elsewhere. There was no-one to inform of our decision to cancel our stay but I was not surprised to see that we had been charged anyway.

This Motel was second to none, in terms of placement. For the price, we were settled right in the heart of Nelson. Facilities were all there, with welcoming staff. A little interesting about the rooms, though. Of course, pay the money or pay the price. The room was dated, with aging wallpaper, and carpet falling apart. Appliances were top-notch, with the bar fridge still having it's plastic wrap on it. One thing of mention, is parking. You can either park two blocks away at a Church, or run the higher risk of parking inside the Council parking... Up to you. Still enjoyed our time here, all the same.

😐 On the flight path! Massive place. Could easily lose your kids if you were trying to! Playground was great (new flying fox). Facilities weren't the cleanest. The camp ground is NOT non-smoking. Cheep.
