This hostel is an extremely great place to stay. The owners and all the employees are so incredibly kind and the facility is brand new and has showers with incredible water pressure and great water temperature. The dorm beds all have curtains and feel very private. No air conditioning but the windows do open at night. The social aspect is not vibrant like many other hostels in Kathmandu but if you put in the effort you can certainly make friends.

Recommended peaceful hostel in busy and chaotic Thamel neighbourhood. Opened only a few months ago, and the team behind is working hard so that guests have the best stay. Food served at the restaurant is also very good and decently priced for the area. Staff always smiling and willing to help. Good communal area to meet other travellers. I would definitely come back! Note the 4% commission when you pay by card (not for food though) but seems to be the norm in Kathmandu.

Beautiful hostel! It is the perfect location to escape the crazy streets of Kathmandu. The rooms are super clean and the beds are very comfortable. The showers are amazing. On top of that the staff is super attentive and friendly. I stayed there in the beginning of my travels and was super excited to come back at the end of my travels. Definitely recommended staying there!

3 key things. 1. Great quality of bathroom and bed and extremely hygienic at excellent price $7 2. Exceptional service. Money exchange. Gear rental. Trek information. Bag storage. All provided. Padrom was helpful, accommodated our questions even if we didn't end up doing the trek, and never hassled me to pay, I was able to pay everything on last day. 3. Quiet. The place is beautiful and quiet and was my first time able to relax after a long month in India.

A lovely place with amazing staff in Thamel. They have great rooms, very clean and cozy. They have a rooftop where you can do yoga or just enjoy the sunset, I asked for a mat and they kindly provided me with one for my morning practice. I loved the people who works here, special thanks to Praumod, the receptionist, who kindly helped me looking for a taxi partner to share my ride back to the airport which was super nice. They also have an outdoor area with a beautiful garden where you can relax after a day in the city. Good prices, amazing people and beautiful place. Highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay at Kwabahal Hostel in November 2023. Even though the hostel is in the middle of Thamel, it has a great relaxed atmosphere with its beautiful and cozy courtyard with outside seating. We felt welcomed by the staff and they tended to our every need (thank you Ashish among others). The rooms and other facilities were always clean and the food was great. Kwabahal may be slightly more expensive than the average hostel, but it's worth the money.

Kwabahal feels like a home away from home. The staff is super friendly, always very helpful. It is very welcoming for anyone traveling together, as a group, or solo. The restaurant is great, and the rooms are so comfortable. I espcially love the hot showers and clean bathrooms! Wifi is fast, and it is right in the center of Thamel, so there is no lacking stuff to do. It's a 25 minute drive from the airport, and an 1hr15min walk.10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Kathmandu!

I had a wonderful experience at Kwabahal. Everybody was incredibly attentive, hospitable, and took great care of me. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. Great location, amazing and lovely place, quiet. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay at Kwabaham Hostel. Good location, helpful staff. Market is right outside, so great location in Thamel. Plenty of food options in and around the hostel. Vibe is lively and loads of diverse people to meet and interact with. Rooms are good and clean.
