We thought we would try this new Italian and were so glad we did, the staff were so attentive and made our little boy giggle non stop. The food was so nice, we went with the recommended veal ravioli and it did not disappoint.

First time trying this newly opened restaurant - just up from Redondo on Calle Gloria. Wonderful food and a lovely warm welcome from the owners. Give it a try.... its well worth it !!!! Highly recommended 👍

Great experience at il covo, you will have a wonderful time eating delicious pizzas while being serenaded by the chef :) The whole family is very friendly and you can tell they all love their restaurant, and we do too!

Update August 2023: We came back this year, were greeted with the same welcoming smile and good energy! We got the house white wine, bruschetta, Rigattoni Buscaiola and Amatriciana. Food was still amazing, and a great experience overall! We'll be back again for sure, maybe once we manage to try something else too :)) Original review: Small place with great vibe, fast and friendly service, very good drinks and food! Got the sangria and Hendrick's gin, and pasta. Very filling yet light, left more than happy. Pizza also looked amazing, will come back!

Great, very nice Service and delicious menu! We tried pizza, 1.2 provola and tiramisu- we are still dreaming of it and we will come back! You can taste the good quality of the products and the familie/team must really have a passion for Italian food! Menu available in eng/ger/esp

This is by far the best Italian food I had. This cozy family Italian restaurant is fabulous from the presentation, taste and service everything was excellent. We are back next year for an another month and this will be my Italian restaurant in more than one occasion. Great job!

Best Italian in Nerja for sure. Daniella is one of the best hosts. A warm welcome, fantastic updated decor and amazing food. Can't recommend this little gem of a place highly enough. If you are in Nerja you have to, HAVE TO, visit. You won't regret it. Price was very reasonable too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Friendly staff, great service and of course, really good Italian food. Had pasta and pizza. The tomato sauce was just the best we've had. No kids menu but we shared pizzas and pastas and got separate plates. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing food. We felt like we were eating in Italy! 😆 the truffada (I think that was it!) pizza was delicious, my partner enjoyed the carbonara which also went down a treat with our 4 year old. Lovely deserts, a great atmosphere, lovely clean toilets (very important!) Lovely waitress. Perfecto!

I’m sitting here now - just had a delicious authentic Italian meal with lovely Nero dAvola wine. All great but then …… the unimaginable!!!! The owner began to serenade us all with the most brilliant singing of Italian favourites! Loved it and will come back - Bella Ciao Ciao ❤️❤️❤️

This is a small but mighty restaurant. Seats about 25-30. The meat lasagna is delicious. The salad is quite large. We shared it amongst 3 people. The pasta is also very good. A nearby pizza looked amazing. The profiteroles with chocolate sauce was to die for. Even better than the excellent food was purchased waitress. An infectious smile and energy. Then the chef comes out and sings beautiful Italian music/opera. Wow!!!! A must visit while in nerja. You won't be disappointed.

This is, with out doubt, the best Italian restaurant in Nerja (and I have tried many). The food is so fresh and tasteful, that you just have to come back for more. Also the desserts (Tiramisu) and the coffee is very very good. This is homemade cooking on its best. The service is excellent and the waitress is so friendly, smiling and want the best for you. Looking forward to come back.
