👍👍 Local bodega with a very typical and picturesque atmosphere, delicious tapas, didn't have the time to taste the wines, but those barrels do look fantastic and intriguing. We went there on a fluke, after a bus driver refused to let us board on his vehicle--we had to wait for the next bus, so we ended... People often mention tapas, great, Spanish, friendly,

Local bodega with a very typical and picturesque atmosphere, delicious tapas, didn't have the time to taste the wines, but those barrels do look fantastic and intriguing. We went there on a fluke, after a bus driver refused to let us board on his vehicle--we had to wait for the next bus, so we ended up there. Our kids were tired, but the bartender was kind enough to offer us tapas. Very, very friendly people in there. Real spanish folks, yet open-minded to foreigners. Oh, and the walls are filled with interesting stuff, including posters and photographs related to the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. Nice to see a place like this, with history and a lot of character(s), either on the wall or in front of the counter. No pasaràn and Hasta la Victoria sempre!

Our favourite tapas bar in Nerja, well away from the tourist traps and always full of locals (always a good sign). We have been dozens of times in recent years and even though we have only limited Spanish we always get a great reception. Manolo is an absolute gem, and possibly the hardest working barman in Nerja! Fantastic tapas in an authentic Spanish bar - what's not to like?! Thoroughly recommended.

A typical Spanish bar. No airs or graces. The service is great as are the tapas and spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a visit and don't expect any frill

Been to nerja a second time and had to revisit again. Fantastic selection of meat and fish. Barman is very friendly, they have good beer and great selection of sherry in those barrels behind the bar ranging from sweet to dry. Honestly I've always found at least 3 tapas that blew my mind, fantastic place. It's a good spot for the regulars, they enjoy keeping to themselves and I've even seen them play dominoes at one of the tables! Very relaxed and chilled place.

Great Bodega with tapas & beer, had a lovely time chatting to the barman about history of bar and people that frequented the bar during civil war. Will definitely go back possibly tomorrow. Please don't tell anyone how great this bar is because the old saying "call some place paradise, kiss it goodbye" 🇨🇺🇪🇦

The Communist Bar, also one of the most famous places in Nerja. Very simple, very very cheap. Both locals and tourists meet here. The selection of sweet wines and tapas - simply great.
