First, I want to point out that I generally liked the original restaurant a lot in Neu Ulm. But visiting this one was a big disappointment and we just can't overlook some things that we did with the original one. It is our fault for even giving it a second try. When we were at the first location, there was an weird system where we ordered a lunch but at the end one of it was not a lunch because we got the big bowl? They knew we were ordering the lunch, but they just decided that we need to pay a regular menu price. Ok we thought it happens once, the food was great, we will go again. This time we came in this location because the sign at the door said they offered a -15% opening discount. We walked in and immediately asked the server if the discount applies for the lunch menu as well. She said that of course it did and we sat down. After waiting a bit long we ordered a poke bowl and a pho. The poke bowl came looking really sad, completely different than the last time, with barely any fish on it and dry rice without any sauce. The pho had large chunks of ginger in it which we found strange having eaten a lot of pho in the past. We asked for sriracha and hoisin sause and the waitress said that did not have them. We find that weird for an asian restaurant like this. When we asked for the bill we noticed there was no discount applied. We politely explained what we were told by a different waitress when we first asked that it would be applied and the waiter told us that the lunch menu is already “so cheap” that they won’t do it and that the waitress that had given us the wrong information is “not legit”. We left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed and will continue to choose among other great restaurants Ulm has to offer. Hopefully, this restaurant takes some notes and steps up its game because it has potential.

Kokono excels at Asian fusion cuisine, and this site upholds the high standard of cooking. At the same time, I found the place not as cosy, not as relaxing as I expected. The architecture is certainly snazzy, but the venue is loud, and I found it difficult to get comfortable. Staff was overall friendly, but very driven. I had the impression, they, too, were uncomfortable.

Super food, super staff! Everything extra. Nice place to eat. Between 11 and 14:30 thay have low price food. And it is in the center of Ulm.😊

It's a good place actually and there's no problem about the food, but i will never come again.. There's no friendly waiter and waitress at all, they don't have interest for the guest.. we're waiting, waiting and waiting and no one told us to wait or even just respond us, but in the end we took 15-20 minutes just for take an order (and also for payment).. I've been never have experience like that before in another restaurant..

Everything about this place is great! Tasty food, excellent staff, great atmosphere... they even have vegan options, which is a big plus! I ordered spicy curry tofu, and was not disappointed!

Everything is so lively and professional here. Food is just awesome. Interior, architecture, services are very good. Drinks are fancy and tasty. Definitely must visit restaurants in Ulm

A very beautiful restaurant with delicious food and good staff. The service was very fast, the order brought also quickly, surprised by the spectacular serving of cocktails and dishes. The kitchen in Kokono is incredibly tasty, and the interior is pleasantly surprised by its beauty. Everything is incredibly beautiful and tasteful, I sincerely advise this place!

Our new favourite restaurant to get the best quality beef 'Beef clay pot'. New fave drink is their homemade iced tea. I love it so much it has the real asian feeling to it. Plus their very appealing and instagrammable ginger drink. Totally gonna keep coming back.

The food is really amazing, and the place is charming. You should try it!

After coming in and being seated, we weren't attended for the next 25 minutes, no order was taken, no drinks offered. Despite signalling the waiter. The restaurant wasn't completely full, new people were coming in, being seated at a table, and that was it. Nobody was interested in attending new guests. I've never experienced such poor service at such place category.

The Pho is a disaster. The staff need more training to know they are in hospitality business.

I've tried the same restaurant in neu ulm, it's totally a different atmosphere, the service in kokono ulm is super slow, they forget and come back to ask again about your order ... The food is good but not with the same presentation as in neu ulm restaurant. The space is not too big so its tough to find a place. I don't think I'll go there again.
