I find their cashier process a nightmare. You have a cashier but you need to go further and pay with a complicated machine. I wonder who invented this process! You need double staff, one to pass the products, and another one to help you to pay at the machine! And of course it take ages! And staff were not really nice. I will go back to another 'normal' Edeka next time.

Staff are always smiling and friendly, some speak English as well. Self paying counter is very convenient and easy.

this is the most american style supermarket I've seen in Munich. Loads of options for everything, and a really really good selection of region beers and a small selection of international beers. Slightly pricier than the neighboring netto but generally a much nicer experience.

It’s a very large store with a nice selection of almost everything.

Great supermarket. High-quality products, decent selection, very nice presentation. Has some freshly made stuff as well (e.g. sushi and the like) - you could grab a quick meal to go here when pressed for time.

Probably my favourite edeka. Kind staff, excellent mushroom and alcohol selection (mead!!) and at least as of late 2023 they still have Vivera's vegan "salmon" which has become difficult to find elsewhere.

Really nice supermarket.

Great beer selection. Fresh sushi bar. S-Bahn, tram and bus access. Media Markt above and Stadler bike shop nextdoor. Self checkout is fast and cashier's are usually friendly.

Usually a good shopping experience. We found everything on our list, and found a couple of things we hadn't planned to buy. Clean, with friendly staff, and an excellent range of products.

Great place where you have a fantastic selection of cheeses (not so often in Munich) and a great butcher. You can also find fresh fish. Could have more organic products/sections.

Excellent place, large choice, good meat and good fish counter. I disagree with some comments who mind the payment process, I find it nice that you don't block everyone while paying. Employees were always nice to me as well. I find the garage a bit annoying (but that's the fault of the Einsteincenter) as the concrete columns protrude into every slot so I'm always scared of scratching the car.. but there's always space as there are two floors.

We need more self-checkout machines in the city like in this store.

Broadest selection of food I could find in Munich. Very competent staff.
