One of Cologne's beautiful park ponds with a naturally selected flock of water birds, called swan, Canada goose, Egyptian goose, duck, coot, moorhen and sometimes herons, in some places also seagulls, sometimes also pigeons, enliven the parks and waters, so that the sensitive visitor is Whether you are a local or a tourist, a wistful feeling, an animal-friendly feeling comes over you, to finally see living, flying animals that you otherwise only know as corpses on your own plate, or as background scenery on television... They, the guests from Nile Egypt and Canada, have been arriving here for decades and are warmly welcomed by the population. Only a few loud-mouthed racists denigrate them as "foreigners out" - animals that are supposedly "invasive" and would displace the native animals, but they help to mention that all animals are subject to hunting laws and practices that are released at will, - anyone with a hunting license is allowed to do so - especially those who are racist The anti-waterfowl scene, which only presents itself rhetorically in favor of local duck welfare, would no longer have anything to laugh about if they were clearly accused not only of the small-heartedness of their own character, but also of the statistically small number of their own members. - If only people wanted to stand up in time, to raise their voices and protests and to raise their voice to the call to stand up positively and actively for the waterfowl, for the local waterfowl as well as the waterfowl that have immigrated from abroad! And they would announce this, say it, appeal to their respective authorities - the city environmental authorities, - landscape authorities, hunting and fishing authorities, the city drainage authorities, the mayor, then, and only then, would the few, but still too loud, animal enemies - voices slightly drowned out in favor of a more animal-friendly, and here: more waterfowl-friendly attitude... So come on animal lovers, call your authorities and tell them how great you think the presence of waterfowl in our city is!!! As a person who also has this attitude, I have already done this. It would be great if more people would join in!! Thanks! With kind regards, Joseph Ternes

The Canadian wild geese are a bit invasive, but it's still beautiful.
