Absolutely wonderful bed and breakfast in scenic Cochem on the Moselle river. Our family size room was terrific, with a balcony terrace overlooking the river with views of Cochem and the Reichsburg Castle. That room 27 just cannot be beat, we loved drinking the local wine on the terrace while watching river cruise ships pass by. Bike rental shop next door, but it's only a ten minute walk to central Cochem. Everything at this hotel was modern and nice, and the breakfast buffet was very good. Free wifi available. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even pointing out local wineries to try (and which to avoid). We were very impressed with how we were treated, and we definitely hope someday to return to Altes Winzerhaus for another wonderful visit.

Hotel located approximately 15' walk away from centrum. No outside parking but one (free) from a supermarket 50m away. No elevator to access room and also outside stairs. Very clean. Hostess very friendly. Some rooms have a nice view from Mosel and Cochem castle. Yet could be noisy from the traffic road. Room large enough. Our had a large balcony. Matress was a little hard (for me). Missed coffee machine or water boiler. Breakfast buffet is good and offers large selection but for not fresh orange juice. Price 105€ breakfast included very correct Only cash or visa payment

Nice and clean room, luxoury and nice panoramic balcony view. Breakfast complete, good very complete and also COVID proof with all safety protocols. Perfect distance from Cochem city center. Very friendly owners and Claudia has a good sense of humor. We really liked it. Advise to also include a dinner restaurant at night, no further remarks. We will definetely come back to enjoy a holiday like it is meant to be!

Most importantly, the staff is so wonderfully friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and safe stay. Tasteful modern renovations, spotless clean rooms and bathrooms, delicious breakfast with an outdoor view of Cochem. It's a very short walk to Cochem, but most importantly, an incredibly scenic walk with views you can't get it you're staying in the city itself. Highly highly recommended!

Brilliant place to stay. We arrived late due to road closure for happy Moselle day. Ralph the hotelier was waiting and couldn't do enough for us,because his the restaurant was closed he booked our party of 6 in at a nearby restaurant, he even bought us all a drink. The rooms are of a good standard he accommodated our motorcycles in the under hotel garage. The breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality. A very good value for money place to stay overlooking the river. I shall definitely stay here again when visiting Cochem.

Christmas holidays we stayed for 2 days , really polite and helpful hosts. Quiet place and close to the Cochem Castle . Comfortable beds.Nice breakfast as well. Totally recommended!

We spent three days with two of our kids, hiking to Burg Eltz, riding the chairlift up to enjoy the beautiful view over Cochem, canoeing in the river, and cycling to Beilstein and back. The stay at the hotel was very enjoyable, with the friendly hosts always ready with advice. The rooms are nice and clean, and the river view was a great bonus. Definite plus was having the Pennymarkt supermarket right next door, and bike hire 50 meters away. Walk into Cochem was about 10 minutes, which was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
