I give one star because of the bad services. I went with my sister, and a waiter took our order (we speak spanish and english). 10 minutes later our food came and HONESTLY I never count how many I received, I just eat... Minutes later he came back telling us that we received more from our order (also the administrator came and apologized for the bad behaviour of the waiter). Once he told that we stop eating the rolls that wasn't ours (but of course who will eat them after being placed in another table). We didn't take any more bite but neither expect them to charged us. We pay more by the mistake of the waiter. He should take responsibility of his mistake instead of making us pay for something we did not ask for. Reading other comments I noticed that there are a lot of people complaining about the service. And is not the first time this situation happens... *Attached the reviews* The more I read the comments I think that it is a modus operandi from the waiter or the restaurant. But it is insane how many times.... ZEN Restaurant, you should take action about the people refering to the bad service and do something about it.

The staff there are friendly. The food looks good too. The food…well…the gyoza for me is 3/5. The plate with the nigiri and maki…is 2/5. It doesn’t taste authentic Japanese food for me but it’s okay if you just want to just Japanese food. But this is way better than the ready-made food that they serve at REWE.

Must have been if u are in Bonn. Sushi is awesome, and the atmosfeer is great with a good service 👌🏼 Keep up this good job✌🏼

🤩🏆 If you are looking for a premium Asian food experience, this is the place. The prices are above average, but the environment, service and food quality are well worth the extra. Try to make it here early enough as there are no reservations for couples and the place gets busy. Make sure to try the Spring Rolls to start your evening off right 😉

The food fine but the service really bad. We asked for sushi rolls and while we were already eating them, the waiter interrupted our conversation to say “you had more of what you ordered”. He mistakenly gave us more rolls and we just realized it while we were already eating the food. At the end he charged us for the rolls that he mistakenly served to our table. We didn’t even eat the additional rolls that he put. The food was served by him, we didn’t serve the food ourselves. It is really rude that he did not take any responsibility and made us pay for his mistake. I would not recommend this kind of place.

I love their food, I go there every chance i get. The service is nice, speaks English which is a plus in my books and it's not too pricey. Really recommending the big crunchy rolls.

Zen was overall quite fine. It's central and the restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. If you are looking for a nice place to seat in a relaxed but rather standard-mainstream, this is the way to go. The coffee was super tasty - I got a very smooth non acidic espresso - the drinks were picture pretty and the food is definitely Instagram worthy. Unfortunately the taste doesn't match the food. I ordered the butter chicken and it was overcooked.The salad ( with rice noodles) and the dressing the fish were very tasty. One important thing to be mention is the service. It was not good. The waiter had a bit of an attitude and was not very nice.

I recommend fresh food made to order, nothing time consuming, it was five stars Ly was very attentive throughout the meal. I will definitely come back.

Well-presented and generous served plates of asian Cousine. The Sushi is simply amazing and the curries have a lot of flavour with ingredients like pumpkin, pineapple and different fish options. I will come again for sure because I want to keep trying more dishes :)

The best sushi place in Bonn! The food tastes great and they decorate the sushi plates very creatively. Additionally the interior design of this place is very cool and stylish. All in all it’s a bit pricey, but in my opinion it’s worth it!

Great chicken curry. I had mine with grilled chicken and coconut sauce. Spicy and sweet , made just right.

Very nice I have been in Bonn for two nights and I have been there to have dinner for both the two evenings!

This restaurant is completely overrated and overpriced. I had the red curry with tofu and I could tell the tofu was old (not sour but old enough that I could tell). The presentation was laughable, they just tossed big chunks of tofu and two pieces of sweet potatoes along with some pineapple in the plate. Plus, there was very little curry sauce in my plate. And the salad was nothing special. All in all it just tasted alright. My friend had chicken and she told me it was also very average. For the price we paid I would have expected something better. Ambiente was nice if there wouldn't have stood a big line of people waiting to be seated right next to us. And the door was getting opened every 5 seconds so that we got very cold in 5 minutes and I had to wear my jacket the whole evening. The waiters were nice though. I do not recommend this place. Food was so disappointing I didn't care to take a picture. Perhaps the problem was that it was overcrowded that day... I won't come back to prove it.

i’ve been missing asian food having been in europe for sometime you get what you pay for; they serve really quality food. i’m delighted to have found this gem in bonn.

Nice place for asian fusion food. Although food was not the most authentic, it was very delicious and well-crafted. Interior was clean and pretty (love the floral decor on the ceiling). Would definitely be back again for more.

Enjoyed the food (unicorn sushi and nigiri kani) and a mango calpico. Service was great also. On the downside, you can pay with card only if you have a bill bigger than 25 euros, which is a bit too much if you are alone. There is no wi-fi either.

In General, the ZEN is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food. You can select either Sushi or Vietnamese wok dishes the PhoBo is tasty as well. Usually service is fast, but when we visited the restaurant in a group of 10 food took over one hour. A few people waited even longer and got their food even 15 minutes later. Might have been a bad day.

I did not expect too much and was positively surprised. The sushi was fresh and delicious. It took quite a while for preparation. Can recommend the restaurant and it has a good value for money.

We had ordered over Lieferando. Very flavourful and delicious food retaining the taste for home delivery.

The place was absolutely LOVELY! The Staff are extremely friendly, the food is absolutely AMAZING. And if you have a birthday and let the Staff know (like my son did) you will get an extra surprise.
