We found this wonderful place when strolling around the city center. Great food (vegan cheese and sour cream available!!), super fast service and low prices. We had a stuffed potato and a Nan with aubergine and salad. Yummy!

Yummy food, big portions and excellent service makes the afghan restaurant a perfect food option in downtown Mainz. Try the yoghurt drink with it's exotic spices. That will he my go-to from now on!

At first we were a little skeptical about the place since it does not sound like a good combination, waffle and afghan food.....oh boy we were so wrong 😅. The food is excellent and the people working there were so kind , professional and pleasant.🙂 It might be a chain restaurant but let me yell you, you will be in for a delicious surprise 🤗. All fresh ingredients and freshly made!!!!!! Would love to have one of these restaurants in USA yum yum yum!!!

Great place for hot chocolate! Friendly staff. Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the waffle with strawberries and nutella. The waffle mixture was not delicious and thus, it was disappointing. Particularly, the Nutella was too watery and sweet. Would not recommend for the waffle, but we did enjoy the hot chocolate!

The food was really good for a good price, the portion sizes were quite big as well. Good vegan options and in general easyily customizable meals. My mint drink had lots of tiny pieces of mint in it which made it a bit annoying to drink, but overall it was still good. The staff wasn't super friendly, but not rude either. Big window front that's mostly open in the summer. Option to sit by the window, busy street next to it. Option to sit on benches, decorated with pillows.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food and good service.

Went with 2 people, ordered one dish each. One never came. Asked the waiter about it several times and were always assured that it would come ‘soon’. After 90 minutes the waiter suddenly asks ‚Should I do the Samosas now?‘

If I go again is defintely because of the food is tasty and something different offering afghan dishes, you get a lot for a reasonable price. However the service could be better and at least clean the tables after someone leaves.

The food was great at a good price. Only knocked a star off because they don't accept credit card for payments.

Unfriendly staff - at the same time, someone was drilling or sawing in the back room all the time, so you couldn't talk. The food was ok, but nothing special

We tried Bolani and Naan - and both were just average. Not bad, but also no wow sensation. The service can take a few minutes before they arrive at your table, and we even had to ask a second time for our drinks (Mango Lassi that hardly had any Mango flavor in it). Plus point for remembering that one did order the Bolani without Jalapeno. So maybe we ordered the wrong dishes on the wrong day, but we definitely hoped for more...

In general, okay, but ventilation is not good, so if you sit inside, all the food smell will stay on your clothes. Also, at the end of our meal, some flies started flying around the food.

Awesome place in Mainz! Service is always pleasant, food is tasty, and many vegan options, meat is also good.
