Let's start out with I had high hopes for this place. It was highly recommended and we drove two hours to visit it. Upon arrival we had roughly 30 minutes to see everything due to them closing and us running into traffi. We were greeted by an individual who didn't even say hello just a what do you want we are closing. We tried to talk a bit regarding the mustard and process and asked if we could try some. After giving a long sigh he allowed us to try some of the flavors before us choosing. Now for the mustard. The original is my favorite while the other flavors I had were more of a mustard which then they added spices. To me I thought it would have more of a unique taste or something different from just added spice. They do accept card and the mustard is around 7 euro. Now for the review. This place just from the staff alone. I would have to give it a 2 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. The location is very beautiful and good walking distance to the downtown area.

Cute museum with great mustard and friendly service. You can try all of their mustards and when the container is empty you can return it for a cheaper price to refill.

A mustard mill with sales. All types of mustard are made without preservatives. The presentation of the products in the sales room is beautifully designed. The mustard mill in the next room can be visited; there is a good guided tour with many interesting explanations. The mustard can be tasted with bockwurst for a small fee or free of charge at a tasting station. Recommended.

Not many words required for this place: Mustards and sausages. Many mustards available in different flavours, home made by the still in use mill. You pay a price for it, around €7,80 for a 250ml jar. Too much in my opinion, but yes, many tourists will buy it anyways. Oh yes, you can do some tasting as well.

Mustard tasting with bockwurst to savor it with once you find your favorite. Cool idea, great mustards. Also marmalades and even mustard schnapps! Tours available but we just did a tasting and a bockwurst. My favorite was the garlic mustard, wife's was the historical classic flavor. Glad we came, good for kids. I'd say this is a must-see for Cochem.

Just tried the sausage and a mustard of your choice for 2,50 offer. We really enjoyed it. Of course, some mustard flavors won‘t fit everyones preference. But the sausage was really good. While my favorite was the historic mustard, my +1 preferred the garlic mustard - a bit too intense for me.

They have a wide variety of mustards and dips to sample and purchase. There are also sausages with your choice of mustard for 2.50€. The tour is once a day at 4pm. The workers are courteous and encourage you to try a wide variety of samples. This place is worth a quick stop for 30 or so minutes. Enjoy!

A lovely mustard museum near the Moselle river, Cochem. Well worth the visit if you are in the area. Had the opportunity to sample the many mustards before purchasing. Very tasty indeed! Other products available to purchase if mustard is not your thing.

Very nicely done, many types of mustard, all homemade. They can all be tried. One tastier than the other. The explanation and tour of the room where the mustard is made was very interesting and informative. Admission is reasonable at €2.50.

The lecture on how the mustard is ground was very interesting. Highly recommended to listen to and see this. You can try all types of mustard in the sales hall.

The guided tours are only available if you arrive before 4 pm, which was surprising. Paired with the mustard, only pork sausage is sold. No Vegetarian, Halal or Kosher option is available. The free mustard sampling is nice though.

The tour was interesting about the history and production of mustard. The mustard varieties we tried tasted very good. You can get a boiled sausage with a sample and buy a mustard pot straight away.

Very friendly staff. You can try many types of mustard from your own production at a test stand. The mustard mill is in a separate room and is well explained and demonstrated by the staff during a guided tour (€2.50).

Nice place to visit. We couldn't do the guided tour because we were about to leave and next tour was only 2,5 hours later. Nice store, all products could be tasted for free. Didn't purchase anything because not specifically my taste. Not overpriced.

Was great learning the ancient world process and they still use the equipment today along with two original recipes. Plus was able to sample the various types of mustards made.
