A wonderful place for meditation and getting isolated from the world's noise and has a wonderful views over the city. Be careful when you are back . This citadel is very old but it was renewed. find one of my pic where you can read about its history.

Wonderful in every way. We booked 19 rooms and every single person had an exceptional stay. Great dinner, beautifully prepared rooms, outstanding breakfast buffet and staff that were only too happy to help even when we were being difficult. I would absolutely recommend a stay without hesitation to anyone that will listen. Please don’t change a thing. Thank you kindly for all your hospitality from myself and everyone of the other 19 people that stayed with you.

We had a 2 night stay with our little dog. It is a very romantic, quiet and beautiful place, all that we were looking for. The interior design of the rooms are spectacular, old times feeling yet modern and comfortable. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and quality of the food was exquisite and delicious, definitely worth the price. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We even got a private tour of the castle. We went through all the dodgy places and undergrounds which I always loved to discover. A place recommended for those who enjoy nature, quiet, class and quality.

Access: with car and there are free parking places Location: Excellent, super cozy, unique view to the village, forest patch for morning/evening walks. Rooms: Comfortable and well decorated, comfortable beds, and big bathrooms. Restaurant: High quality of food and great selection of wines Staff: Super nice, Family business Pet: Dog friendly. Excellent for dog owners We stayed 2 nights just to relax and refresh. There are nice and well equipped rooms for business meetings. Hot location for wedding ceremonies too.

By coincidence we drove off the highway A7 just south of Göttingen, just to see if we could find a place to stay for one night. We found this really nice newly renovated medieval Castle. Although there were a few hiccups, we considered them to be a result of the newly restart of the hotel, the staff did everything in their power to fix it and to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The castle is an incredible an experience, the rooms were nice the food of the restaurant was fantastic. We will for sure be back one of our trips from Denmark to the southern part of europe.

Stunning location, the castle is breathtaking and has a beautiful view. The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast. And the people are very hospitable. I am here for business but would love to return with my family.

We stayed here on our way to Hamburg. The property is beautiful and the staff were great. Service and food at the restaurant was also spot on. I'd recommend this place to anyone sight seeing in the area. Kassel is near by and worth checking out.

How much more exotic can one's stay get, in an enchanting castle up a hill. The place retains its historical charm, and still feels like home. Had a very comfortable stay here! Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff, and filling breakfast!

Amazing place, when I stayed there, I felt a king! Jaja. The castle is a reference in Spangenberg, the place maintain all characteristics and elegance. The problem is, the hotel is in a hill, is little difficult to move without car. But worth it!
