The indoor design is very exotic, even the staff are in the traditional clothing. The food and tea were really great. We ordered a small portion of Dàpán jī(大盤雞) and two extra portions of noodles, which were just too tasty. The recommended tea "天山雪菊" (kind of Chrysanthemum tea) was smooth and terrific. Out of interest we ordered a pot of other flavor tea but this 天山雪菊 was just not defeatable. We were not so familiar with the style of food, but luckily the staff was very patient and really left a great impression on us. I totally recommend this restaurant if you want to try Uighur kitchen. ** Adding more pictures of the revisiting. Update: The staff now is extremely rude and horrible. Was my favourite Chinese restaurant however not anymore. Very friendly lady always serving me , if you are looking for some good Chinese food at the hbf this is definitely the place to go. Loved the shrimps and noodles. I have recently been here so many items it's awesome. Highly recommend to pay a visit here when you are in Frankfurt and craving good Chinese food.

The best place to taste authentic Chinese cuisine. All foods that we ordered were delicious, flavorful, and well-seasoned. We spent 2 hours here and enjoyed our food while we were talking. The noodles were hand made and cooked perfectly. Definitely we go back to try more food. Highly recommend. 😋 We came again, and ordered other dishes and they were all super tasty😋

Most authentic Xinjiang restaurant in Europe. Definitely worth going. Food is fantastisticly tasty, and nice ambient too. Service is highly accommodating. I would certainly go back again soon.

I went there expecting authentic Chinese food but it was a mix food 🍱 of a different origin. The food was extremely salty the used lots of MSG . But I must say the staff were very friendly.

We had the hotpot (half beef & half lamb) and the meat and soup were both amazing. We also had the lamb skewers that were so delicious, anyone who visits should try them. Even you might not be a lamb fan, you should still give it a try at Loulan! Would definitely wanna visit again for their other authentic dishes.

Nie wieder!!! worst experience in Germany!!! From ordering to getting the food it took more than 80 minutes!!! Even though we have reminded them several times. The chef kept saying the dishes came soon. It turned out that his soon means 50+ minutes. What confused me is that there were also not so many other customers. Regarding the food, the chicken is average and lamp a bit above average. So not recommended at all considering one needs to wait for more than 80 minutes to get some a bit average grilled lamp plus the price and quality/quantity it is not worthwhile either.

I would definitely recommend this. Super friendly staffs and super delicious food. At the end we were literally exploding bc we ate too much.

I born and grown up in Xinjiang. Loulan really offers traditional Xinjiang food. Although it is a little bit expensive, it deserves it. Every time I came to Frankfurt and I tried to visit it or sometimes just because of Liulan I came to Frankfurt. So you can image how good the food is! The people is very nice!

The food is a bit pricey but it’s good food. The salty tea is really interesting to try. In the beginning it was kinda weird but after a while I somehow liked the tasted.

Good food, excellent service and fair prices. The restaurant seems really original and has special dishes with flavours we hadn't have before. We think it has some mongolish influence or origin, since some of the tradicional dishes had similarities with russian dishes. The restaurant is worth visiting and the people are super nice. We suggest trying some of the home made noodles - there are several options. Also the meat was soft and the vegetables incredibly crispy.

Everything was tasty and freshly prepared. Highly recommend this place…they have a nice selection of foods with original flavors … recommend anything they have on their menu containing lamb meat 🐑

Still a great restaurant for Uyghur dishes. It’s our second time at this restaurant. The location has been changed. The mutton is really juicy. The milk tea is also a must try. Other dishes are less delicious than last time but still over average. The new restaurant is little crowder than the old one and it’s extremely difficult to find a parking spot.

It's nice that they have kept the traditional Xinjiang style throughout the restaurants even the staff wears traditional clothing. What matters is the food, of course. I had a spicey chicken and vegetable combination with rice and other Xinjiang flavors. Spicy but great.

It was just a coincidence that we saw it, and we were a little bit not sure at the first, but after a few minutes we decided to get in and try the food. Well I'm glad that we tried it, it was really good 👍, and its recommended for Muslims as halal restaurant.

THE MOST AMIABLE LADY OWNER, SAT ME AT TABLE #16 ~ PERFECT FOR 1-2 GUESTS WITH A WESTERN VIEW OF THE ENTIRE LUXURIOUS DINING ROOM. THE RICH AROMATIC POMEGRANATE TEA SERVICE WORKED PERFECTLY TO WARM ME UP FROM THE BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURE. MY 1ST COURSE WAS THE BEEF NOODLE SOUP ~ ENOUGH FOR 2 PEOPLE TO SHARE. THE FRESH VEGGIES WERE CRUNCHY, THE BEEF SUPER TENDER AND THE BROTH WAS DELICIOUSLY POWERFUL. MY MAIN COURSE WAS 5 BBQ LAMB SKEWERS, THAT WERE EXPERTLY MARINATED AND AN EPICUREAN DELIGHT. Unfortunately i have to give one star for me to post my review. :( I have never been so disappointed. 😩 Yesterday, my colleague and I went out for lunch, hoping to try something new. We decided on Loulan restaurant. While placing our order, I clearly specified that I wanted chicken stew with potatoes and even asked the waiter about the vegetables. Due to my paprika allergy, I emphasized no tomatoes or paprika in my dish. Firstly, we waited over 40 minutes for our to-go order. During payment, the waiter confirmed my order as chicken stew. On our way back to the office, we joked about the long wait, hoping the food would be worth it. Upon opening our food boxes, it was a letdown. I ordered chicken, but I received beef stew, just like my colleague who ordered beef. Furthermore, the soup was filled with tomatoes despite my explicit request to exclude paprika and tomatoes. We wasted a significant amount of time waiting, and I ended up going hungry the entire day. We had to throw the food as it was inedible. Paying 12 Euros for a meal that had to be thrown away left me extremely disappointed. I won't be returning to that restaurant ever again.

Great, authentic Uyghur food! Super surprised to find such a menu in Germany where food is usually blend and pepper is considered spicy. Would always return to this gem!

Delicious Uigur restaurant with authentic food, fantastic authentic noodles, and well spiced dishes. Nothing scary or too crazy going on here so anyone would be able to find dish they'll like. Literally cannot recommend it enough, this place would be packed 24/7 if it was in a more central location... But that means you can have an "off the beaten path" unique restaurant up your sleeve for any occasion.

As a Chinese from nearby region, I highly recommend this restaurant. This is the most authentic Xinjiang food in Europe - a very hometown taste. I even couldn’t find this level restaurant in some big Chinese cities. First time tried it in July. It impressed me. This time I had to stay in Frankfurt for one more night just because of this restaurant. We tried everything different to last time. Everything is great!
