Hello, this church accompanied me my entire life until I grew up. Among other things, I was baptized there, received communion and received my confirmation, and I was also an altar boy in the community for years under "our" Monsignor Dr. Karl Klinkhammer, who everyone called Pastor. But what annoys me a little is that the church is called St. Sacrament on Wikipedia, which is its current name. At the beginning, until it was handed over to today's Coptic community, the church was called Holy Sacrament like the community. Thanks for reading. 🙏😌

Impressive when you know that it is probably the only bunker church in the world. Inside it smells very strongly of incense (at least at Coptic masses).

(Translated by Google) A very nice historic church from the outside. But, unfortunately, I did not enter to see the beauty of the church from the inside (Original) Eine sehr schöne historische Kirche von außen. Very nice building. The exterior was restored to its old glory days, but the interior was not. A little disappointment to walk in and see that the inside is so pedestrian comparing to the outside structure. No matter, it is a place that would draw tourists to the area to walk and inspect its ground. There is a coffee shop inside, but we did not try it.

Great building. It is worth the visit. However, the inner part is restored and in my view it is not at the level of the outer part. I felt a bit disappointed when entered inside the building. However an interesting visit from my point of view. By the way, don't expect a big cathedral or similar, this is more like a great church I would say

(Translated by Google) I happened to go to this church. Rather massive and classicistic from the outside, you will be totally surprised inside: bright, modern and architectural with a huge interior where the seats rise steeply, which is certainly very interesting at concerts. To get to the church you have to go through a foyer with an integrated café, where socially disadvantaged people find their place.

We received a tour of the bunker church. Very interesting/sometimes oppressive history of the area and the former bunker/bunker church. Now it is a Coptic church. We also had the opportunity to briefly get to know the Coptic priest. Very open and nice! Church services are also regularly held in German and anyone interested is invited.

(Translated by Google) From the outside, the building already looks good. Red brick, the building glows in the sun against a blue sky, which looks very nice. It is the largest Protestant church in Düsseldorf which is kept rather simple on the inside. From the entrance you first come into the large anteroom. There is a cafe with a small selection of inexpensive drinks and delicious cakes, as well as the daily newspapers. A wide variety of people meet here in the cafe. Backpackers, homeless people, retirees, entrepreneurs, families with and without children, married couples, migrants, photographers simply all who want to spend a short time in this oasis. In the winter season there is a book market once a month. The proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders. You can see tables at which language classes with migrants are held almost regularly. Every now and then our new fellow citizens cook small dishes from their country and offer them inexpensively. Very tasty, everyone should try it out. The cafe also offers a small lunch menu during the week. There is organ music for coffee once a week. You can pay for a delayed coffee there, even in winter, in addition to your own coffee. I think this idea is great. The coffee is then donated to a homeless person. The cafe is operated by various volunteers, most of whom are extremely friendly and helpful. We look forward to a short visit every Saturday. There is always a little pig next to the cash register for donations, next to it is a note who receives these donations. The objects are changed regularly. The toilets are light, clean and tidy. There is a toilet for the disabled, the toilets are spacious and always clean and tidy. Various lectures are offered on the bulletin board. From the entrance go straight through a door into the church. A bright, spacious room with double-sided stairs to the gallery. This church has great acoustics and, in addition to the church services, regular concerts are also very well attended. Great architecture, great events, great choir. Groundbreaking project with a cafe for nice relaxed gatherings. (Original) Vom außen macht das Gebäude schon einiges her.

(Translated by Google) I like to have a cup of coffee and cake here and there. The café has very nice and friendly volunteers. The café is relatively quiet, so I can read my newspaper in peace. Every time I visit, I also go to church to commemorate my deceased and living relatives. Then I go out and am in the middle of life and directly at our beloved KÖ. Therefore I can highly recommend this place as it is very good for me.
