Obstetrics gynecology clinic University hospital

😐 Very poor organization of the recording. I had an appointment at the outpatient clinic and was there on time. I'm known at the university, I recently gave birth there and still had to wait forever just for them to read my health insurance card. Meanwhile, the lady in the ambulance had nothing to do.... People often mention hours, time, appointment, room, told, birth, mich, wurde, doctor, clinic,

1st time there today. The doctor I met with (Dr. Martignoni) was really nice and thorough. However, even though I had a scheduled appointment, I still ended up waiting for almost 90 mins before being seen. The biggest downfall, is the receptionist. (Big lady with short blonde hair) She was super rude & unprofessional. Her customer service skills are non-existent. And when I told her about herself, she was trashy & started to act like a child. It’s sad that she’s the type of person you have to deal with before seeing your doctor.

Very poor organization of the recording. I had an appointment at the outpatient clinic and was there on time. I'm known at the university, I recently gave birth there and still had to wait forever just for them to read my health insurance card. Meanwhile, the lady in the ambulance had nothing to do. In fact, I was at university much longer than necessary, which may not matter if you have time, but when you have a breastfeeding child waiting at home, it's very unpleasant. I'm happy with the treatment itself (hence the three stars), but please change the structure a bit!

In our review we would like to highlight how competent and extremely friendly the hospital staff were. From start to finish we felt very well looked after. Although we chose to have a cesarean section, our decision was respected and supported. Despite the distance, we would definitely choose this hospital again next time. Definitely worth the drive there for the excellent care we received!!

Dear team at the UKD women's clinic, you are wonderful. I said on my own initiative that I would rate it and that's what I'm doing here now. My big thanks, of course, go especially to my surgeons, Dr. Krawczyk and Dr. Seidenstücker and my angel in need Prof. Dr. Ruckhäberle. The nurses on the ward do an excellent job. Sister Parwana and Sister Mareike know how to set an example and motivate their team. In my opinion, a review only becomes credible, especially in the medical field, when readers can assess how important, challenging and relevant the corresponding case is. Unfortunately, as a human being you can make a lot of jokes. I do too and here you will find open ears and active implementation of factually justified requests for improvement. You are accepted and heard. My case: triple negative breast cancer, affected lymph nodes, questionable lung metastases, recurrence, breast inflammation, mastectomy, inflammatory expander, diep flap breast reconstruction.. So the full deep spectrum... In short: I would have felt better looked after nowhere. I'm driving a distance of over 180 km to the Düsseldorf University Hospital and it will stay that way. I also have to “struggle” with long waiting times, despite the long journey, but when I consider that all these people drive home in the evening completely exhausted because everything is simply overcrowded and they are really trying their best, I accept this fact Purchase. It's important to me that the guide is held together by a hub and I know that professionals are working on my body. I am very satisfied with the result. Thank you for everything! LG B.A.

For a long time I had a good opinion of the Düsseldorf University Hospital, as my parents were often treated acutely here. Unfortunately, this time I was disabused of my own knowledge. In November I was given a suspected diagnosis. I then decided, contrary to critical comments from those around me towards the University of Düsseldorf, to have an operation at the university's women's clinic. The appointment was made on November 23 for February 02, 24. Two days before, the procedure was postponed to February 22, 2024 due to the high volume of operations and shortages. That day I was supposed to report to the ward at 7:00 a.m. sober since 5 a.m. I then had to wait in the waiting area until 11:00 before I could even get a bed. There I had to stay sober and wait. Shortly after 3 p.m. I was informed that the operation would not take place due to too many more urgent procedures and that I could go home. Patient management would call me the next day and set up a new appointment, probably next week. As soon as I got home, the ward called and asked me to come in for the operation the next day, which I reluctantly agreed to because I (self-employed) had canceled all customer appointments anyway, including for the next week when I was supposed to take it easy. This morning I reported to the ward sober again since 5 a.m. at 6:30 a.m., got a bed and a surgical shirt very quickly, I should be patient. Every nurse who came into the room asked me when it would finally be my turn. They said: "Subject to 12:30!" Finally, at 1:30 p.m. I was informed that the operation could not take place today for organizational reasons. I am very disappointed with the way my time was wasted here, in which I was unable to make any income, and I no longer trust the management. I didn't get the referral back because this is used to bill the consultation and, as a statutory health insurance patient, I won't get one again until the new quarter so that I can have the procedure done somewhere else. I will definitely report this to my health insurance company so that no more will be billed here.

(Translated by Google) In April I had a preferred c-section with Dr. Hagenbeck. Even in the preliminary talk he was very competent, humorous and approachable. He took my worries and concerns seriously and gave me extensive information about the procedure. During the operation he created a very relaxed, easy and pleasant atmosphere. My scar was sewn so precisely that after less than a month I can hardly see anything. All in all, thanks to Dr Hagenbeck, the anesthesia team and midwife Laura, I was able to experience a beautiful, self-determined birth in the women's clinic.

(Translated by Google) Hello, I gave birth to my daughter Magdalena on June 2nd, 2022. The delivery room was great, was there a few times due to false alarms and was always treated with respect. The midwife Chiara guided me through the birth very well, even when she actually had finished work, thank you again for that 🙏 After the birth, I was taken to the gynecological department because the maternity stadium was full, but I and my daughter were warmly welcomed there too. Despite the strike and staff shortages, we always took our time and we were able to chat. The rooms were cleaned every morning and were therefore always very well maintained, thanks also to the cleaning staff. The nanny in the children's room was great, they were calm and balanced, you got help and a lot of encouragement, you can go there at any time. There, too, one did not notice that the sisters actually needed more staff. Everything was great, many thanks for the great stay.

We were there at the beginning of December. Our birth lasted 32 hours and all the midwives who looked after us during that time were great! You could get involved with everyone, every midwife has her own great and attentive style. All the doctors, nurses and other staff on the ward were very friendly and helpful! Thank you!

I had an appointment at the gynecology clinic at 10 a.m. today. I was there at 9:45 am. At 12 o'clock it was still not my turn and unfortunately I had to leave because I also have business appointments. I understand that your doctors need to treat emergencies immediately, but then your staffing needs to be revised, right? Or could there be doctors who only take care of the gynecological outpatient clinic? But this probably doesn't fit with your (correct) idea of a profit-oriented organization.

I don't want to give a star at all, unfortunately you can't write a review otherwise. Today I had an appointment for surgery to remove cysts and ovaries. (Outpatient) I got there sober at 7 a.m. sharp. There were 14 other women with me who were waiting with me in the lounge. Wait there until we have a bed available was the announcement. Ok so far. Except for one lady, everyone else was taken to their rooms within an hour. At some point I was the last one (although there much earlier than other ladies) and after further inquiries, I was given a bed and we were told that the operation date was at 1:30 p.m. We wanted to go out for one more lap and get back around 12 p.m., but we were under no circumstances allowed to leave the hospital grounds. It could be that I can get to it sooner. I didn't believe it at that point. At 1:30 p.m. my husband asked and was told that there had been emergencies and that it would probably be my turn at 2 p.m. At 3 p.m. a young doctor simply told me that I could walk again because I wouldn't be able to walk again today. No explanation, no indication of what happens next with a new appointment - nothing. After 8 hours!!! Waiting and being sober for 15 hours, I was also “slightly” annoyed, although the young doctor is of course the least responsible. We then went to register to get at least a certificate for my employer and asked how this happened. Emergencies have come up, I completely understand that, unforeseeable circumstances. But the emergencies were already at night, in the morning and at noon, so with the full surgical schedule it must have been clear early on that some surgeries could no longer be carried out. The worst thing for me was that there was no information at all, and when I asked about it, the nurses sometimes gave quite rude answers, which of course were not their fault and they probably had to deal with dissatisfied patients every day. Which doesn't make work any easier. When I registered there was only a modest shrug of the shoulders and I was told that it could happen again at the next appointment. NO, there will not be a next appointment at the university. I'm going to another clinic. I'm stunned by so much poor organization, even the preliminary interview was chaotic and cost me 3 hours. But I didn't think it was a big deal and waited patiently. You prepare for a planned surgery date, physically, mentally and organizationally. Waiting 8 hours for nothing is - with all understanding - simply a catastrophe. And then with the note that this can also happen to you at the next appointment. No, dear university clinic, I won't set foot there again. Very unfortunate.

(Translated by Google) Always keep waiting, very rough and aggressive co-worker, and lead to baby infection Almost two months had passed but every time I remember , the birth of my son was a nightmare. To wait 33 hours after the rupture of the bladder and finally suddenly I switched to caesarean section. In between there was no care and I was almost ignored by the delivery room. I was admitted to the hospital in the afternoon, before I registered, but still waited about 2 hours when admitted. At that time it was already about 9 hours after the rupture of the bladder, at the same time the contractions accompanied me with the period 7 ~ 8 minutes. The doctor told me that the cervix was one finger open and made me CTG then sent me into the room and let them wait. But the contractions got worse and during the night I couldn't take it. I came twice to the delivery room to ask for help, was refused! (Time: 20 hours after rupture of the bladder) The doctor only gave me suppositories to relieve pain I asked for oxytocin or something else to induce delivery, or PDA even cesarean section, let me keep waiting "you can't have a baby without pain" (that was totally nonsense, what is the point of PDA?) I hardly slept at all all night, the next morning the assistant doctor came (27 hours after the rupture of the bladder), I told him and he told me he would let a nurse look after me and me bring to the delivery room. I waited and waited, 2 hours had passed, no sister came to me. I couldn't take it anymore And went straight to the delivery room. In front of the delivery room I was also kept waiting for about 1 hour. The contractions lasted too long and I really couldn't take it anymore and my emotions were also out of my control. I cried in front of the delivery room, otherwise I was ignored and kept waiting. I vomited and I went to the toilet, the midwife scolded me, said that I hadn't worked with her. I also waited 2 hours in the delivery room with a mask on. I got bad air, but the midwife wouldn't let me take off my mask, she told me I can only take off my mask after the PDA (That was ridiculous, there were the same people in the delivery room, but normal breathing was fine for the parturient pretty heavy) the midwife was very rude and aggressive, during the delivery she stirred her hand in my vagina, I want to scream to make her stop. but at that time I was totally exhausted 32 hours after the rupture of the bladder and labor, I even have no strength to speak. What she did made me feel like I was an object instead of a person. Such rough and aggressive treatment should not take place in the delivery room. I asked all of my friends if they had such experiences during childbirth, they all said they did not have such inhumanities. After the PDA, CTG showed the baby's abnormal heartbeat, then suddenly I was sent to the operating room for a caesarean section. That means also, waiting 33 hours for normal birth was in vain. The 33 hour labor was in vain. But before that, my request for a caesarean section was refused, after which my son was born within 15 minutes. But the story didn't end. Because of staying in the womb for too long after the rupture of the bladder, my son became infected with skepticism, this is a very dangerous disease for newborns.

The support was close-knit and I never felt left alone and in good hands around the clock. I was successfully relieved of my worries and fears about spontaneous delivery. Every® individual employee, regardless of whether a senior doctor or assistant doctor, midwife or trainee was attentive and friendly. (Translated by Google) Highly Recommended! The midwives took excellent care of me, despite the fact that the birth was not progressing, I was informed at all times and the options were explained to me to make a decision. Both the doctors and the midwives were extremely friendly, understanding and attentive. My husband was also well taken care of. The time in the room on the ward was restless in the double room, but the nursing nurses are worth their weight in gold. I would come back anytime! (Original) Absolut empfehlenswert!

I would prefer not to give a star at all. I had an appointment for surgery because of a large cyst on my ovary that needed to be removed. Like everyone else, I should be there at 7 a.m. so that we can be assigned a room and then we can get started. First of all, there was no one there at 7 a.m., not a nurse in the ward. 15 minutes later someone came and called out our names and gave us a cup to give us samples. After that, rooms were allocated, but they forgot about me. First After 1 hour I asked and the nurse noticed that she had forgotten it. When I got to the room I was told that my surgery appointment was at 12 p.m. and I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything (just like the night before). Around 10 a.m Then a nurse came and told me I should get dressed in my surgical clothes because it would be my turn at 11 a.m....no one came. Then I thought it would start at 12 p.m. as planned...No one came either. At 12:30 my dad arrived from Berlin and realized that it wasn't my turn yet, so he asked. Then it said 2 p.m....no one came either (by now I was dizzy because I hadn't had anything to drink and was sick from hunger) We asked again and it was 2:30 p.m. because they were giving the room to someone else. We then tried to explain to her that the appointment was supposed to take place today and that I wouldn't be able to find a carer to pick me up and look after me on any other day because my dad came specially and that wouldn't work again (Info I'm just studying here) The doctor's only statement was: "I'm sorry, but that's not our problem, please contact patient management for a new appointment and clear the room." Conclusion; Find another hospital if you want to have an operation, keeping appointments and showing empathy is not their thing

On 05.03.23 I started having strong more frequent contractions. I came here, was well received and they examined me. Since it was still a bit early I was instructed to go back home. The same day, a couple of hours later, I returned and was taken in. I was assisted by a hebamme and a nurse. They were always by my side and even after shift change I had someone with me. They respected my wishes and made all possible for me to feel comfortable. Also, all the initial process to register for the birth, the meeting with the doctor to talk about the birth plan, my health history was really smooth. Of course I had to wait for a couple of hours for that but nothing that does not happen also where I come from. They even have psychological support with a counselor. You can still register the birth of your kid on the same building (which lots of hospitals stopped doing after Covid). I asked for a PDA during the birth plan preparation and was given a new appointment when I had the chance to talk to the anesthesiologist who kindly explained to me all the possibilities. After the birth, in the maternity yard, and during my whole stay I was well taken care of by the nurses and doctors. I can only recommend! Of course, anyone can have a bad experience anywhere. But my feedback of the UKD is positive for that and other experiences I had in here.

I was pregnant and was admitted to this hospital. I had contractions for 4 days, but the senior doctors didn't examine me! No CTG was performed. Lung-ready medications given too late. I experienced birth under violence in this hospital (mainly by doctors) and not only lost my child, but was traumatized, especially by the (lack of) treatment. I do not recommend this hospital for premature birth at all, as premature birth requires intensive treatment by doctors, which is missing here.

I had called in the morning to explain my situation and to make an appointment, suddenly I was told to come over and to talk with the doctor counting the fact that I am in the last month of pregnancy and is no time to wait or make an appointment. I was pleased surprised about this situation when I was thinking about the hospital rules and the demand. I arrived in the hospital where I was told that I need to register and wait for the doctor for more or less 1 and half hour. Second time I was pleased to hear how well organised and what lovely way to be treated in the hospital here in Germany. The receptionist told me that I can go to eat and come back to talk with the doctor as long as I don't exceed this 1 and half hour. Happily I went because I was starving and when I came back I entered to the reception to announce that I arrived. This time the receptionist has changed and told me confused what I am searching for. I had explained again why I am there and told me to wait. I went outside and waited for more that 3 hours. When I said that is not ok this situation and I want to make an appointment, I was informed that this is not possible and I need to continue waiting. After being ignored multiple times in this waiting period I decided to leave and search help to another hospital, well surprised I was that before me another couple pick up their documents and left. When picking up the documents and informing the receptionist that I am leaving she looked at me laughing and gave the documents back full of satisfaction. I thought that in such an important hospital is not acceptable this kind of behaviour, I think I was wrong. Better search help in another places where people are treating you human and have some compassion. Here I felt like in an animal slaughterhouse.

The operation was due to the calming nature of the team led by Dr. HAGENBECK was very pleasant and we felt safe and in good hands at all times. I was there for surgery because of an endometriosis cyst and two days ago I spent 3 hours in the clinic for an explanation and a blood test. Today I had to appear at the women's clinic on an empty stomach at 7:00 a.m., only to be told 8 hours (!) later that I would no longer be operated on today because there were too many emergencies from the night before. I am aware that emergencies lead to unforeseeable changes, but I didn't even get an alternative appointment. Instead, I should try to get a new appointment myself from Monday, which could be up to 4 weeks away. In addition, I was also informed that even at the second appointment I had no guarantee that I would actually be operated on. So my operation wasn't even postponed, it was simply canceled and the same thing could happen again at the next appointment. I will now look for another clinic for my operation.

I gave birth to my son here in February 2023 and can absolutely recommend the clinic! The whole team is nice and competent - nurses, doctors, midwives + anesthesiologist...Despite my fears about the induction, I was informed about everything and was able to make the right decision for myself. The midwives in the delivery room - Stella and Kristina and their colleagues made the birth easy, I can't imagine it being any better. The nurses in the children's room explain everything about babies, breastfeeding, etc. Yes, sometimes the waiting times are longer, but I'll accept that for the great treatment. Thank you!

(Translated by Google) I wouldn't advise anyone to go to the emergency practice there. I had to wait 5 hours in pain without getting any updates in between how long it will take. The doctor was very nice, but I didn't get the results I was supposed to get in 2 days. Instead, I had to call all day just to be told "I'll call you back later" over and over again. . I know the doctors are overwhelmed and it is probably not their fault that there is an understaffing. However, I was helped 0 and I didn't get a diagnosis either, rather lost energy because you expected someone to "take care" Never again ..

(Translated by Google) I gave birth to my son spontaneously in September 2021 in the UKD's gynecological clinic and can only report positive things. The entire team, both in the delivery room and on the maternity ward, is very caring, cordial and competent. We felt we were in very good hands. Fortunately, it finally worked with the family room. I can only say good things about appointments before the birth. Thanks to Ms. Dr. Thiel for the constructive and positive registration interview, which encouraged me. I can confidently overlook one or the other waiting time. My very special thanks go to midwife Nadine, who accompanied me during the birth. Despite the end of the shift, she stayed even longer at the end to bring my son into the world. Thank you very much! I would also like to thank Mr. Dr. Hagenbeck and his team. I always felt that I was in good hands and understood. Danke an Fr.

(Translated by Google) Extremely long wait even with an appointment. When I was 9 months pregnant after 2 hours of waiting with a mask, of which I had to stand for 30-40 minutes because there was no free seat, I became dizzy and nauseous, I had to hear that this could not be because there due to the excellent air conditioning there is good air instead of being helped at the moment. We had to wait 7 days for specific blood values, but my resident gynecologist was able to get them promptly. In addition, blood had to be taken again after 10 minutes because the doctor had forgotten some values. In addition, data protection is a foreign word there. Sensitive data is given out on the phone and the medical file is handed to you without checking your personal details. The worst thing, however, was that an assistant doctor banged on my head without empathy, that my visit would be completely useless, since there were no treatment options for my special pregnancy complication anyway, one could only hope for an early birth or initiate it. The only ray of hope was a very nice midwife who did a CTG to give me security and comforted me. I then went to the Sana Clinic and received friendly and excellent care there until the birth. (Original) Extrem lange Wartezeit trotz Termin.

(Translated by Google) As a patient, I was an inpatient for a few days in the women's clinic. I can only report positive things from a-z. Everyone was very nice at all times. Patient management, admissions, doctors and nursing team, the ladies from the catering and the cleaning staff as well as the gentleman from the patient transport. I have always been well taken care of. My surgery went well. I was released home as soon as possible. I would go back to the women's clinic at the Düsseldorf university clinic at any time, should it be necessary. Thank you for the good treatment and positive experience (Original) Ich war als Patientin einige Tage stationär in der Frauenklinik.

Never visit again. Some of the Gynaec Staffs aggressive and rude. In time of labor, sipping coffee and talking instead of helping patients not at all professional attributes. Also when you call the staff (including Doctor) you await very rude answers in labor.. Wondering how the Healthcare persons could be so irresponsible, although they get paid for their job. :(

I would prefer not to give any stars! What's going on here can hardly be surpassed in terms of audacity. I had an appointment for a preliminary meeting at the beginning of May. In mid-June I had an appointment to prepare for the operation, and up to this point I was actually happy. A week later I had an appointment for the operation. I was called in at 7 a.m. and then I was taken to a “lounge” with 8 other patients. Now there were 8 of us sitting there, no one knew exactly what would happen next. After 3 hours it became 2! Patients taken to a room. There we had to wait again until we were taken to the operating room. After about 6 hours I was finally taken to a room with another person. I was told it would be my turn in 1 hour. After 2 more hours, a doctor came and told me she wouldn't be able to make it today. After sitting there for 8 hours, I was sober for over 15 hours! I understand emergencies, but it was strange that the lady from patient management said that she was already aware in the morning that patients would be sent home. Since the emergencies were in the morning!! Then why not send some home in the morning?! But only after 8 hours? I got my next appointment on July 11th. , this was then canceled, but I understood that. Luckily this time this was done over the phone and at least 1 day in advance. So now another new date, July 20th (today). Yesterday I got a call at lunchtime and the appointment was canceled. Hours later (around 6 p.m.) I got a call saying that you were sorry, but you could make it today. So full of confidence I took the long journey again. Once I got there, this time I was taken straight to a room, which made me think positively. However, this disappeared again after I was told my turn was at 12 p.m. I already suspected that it would be the same as last time. End of song, I have 8 there again!! Sitting for hours, sober for over 15 hours. To then be sent home again with the words emergencies happen, you can't plan for something like that. As already mentioned, I understand this. But as a university hospital you have to be aware of something like this and you should be able to plan for it. I can now tell my employer three times that the operation has been cancelled. And not every employer responds so well, but that's not their problem. They don't care about the parking fees (2nd time) totaling €40 or the fuel costs for the long journey. You should probably also realize that there are mothers who are single parents. They organize everything from A to Z so that they can then be sent home like I was. This is an absolute disgrace!! The fact is I will never get an appointment there again! And I definitely won't recommend this clinic, on the contrary I will advise people against it!!

The worst hospital I have ever been! I will summarize my experience so other patients know what to expect here. I was scheduled for a surgery (25 min surgery). One day before my surgery I needed to go to the hospital for blood tests and to receive information about the surgery which took me in total 4 hours (3h30 hours of waiting). And then the nightmare of the day of the surgery!! They told me to come at 7 AM for my surgery with an empty stomach. After being assigned a room, they told me that my surgery would be at 13h. After 13h I went to ask about my surgery and they told me it has been postponed and that they actually don't know if my surgery will take place. So I waited, at 17h, I was tired of waiting for 10 hours!!! And told them that I have been here since 7Am without drinking anything for the "surgery," and that I will leave. Then, they told me to wait and that a doctor will talk to me. The doctor was nice and apologized and told me that unfortunately my surgery was not on the priority list and that they scheduled it late. Only after waiting for 10 hours I got this information!!! And that they can reschedule me with no promise that the next time will not be like that. They just told me your chances are higher than today and you are up on the list. What is that even supposed to mean? So I decided to cancel my surgery at this hospital. Thank you very much for wasting the time of your patients and playing with the illness of peopel!
