One of the best hotels I've been to in Germany. The king sized room is absolutely fantastic, and I would say the suite style with a living room/bedroom divider was very well done. I would not hesitate to stay here any time I am in the Stuttgart, despite the 20 minute drive or 40-60 minute commute from the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof.

A long time ago, this was the first hotel I ever stayed at in Germany. The Felsenkeller may be closed, but it is still a great place to stay. Rooms are a bit small, but clean and nicely decorated. Staff is fantastic, the food is great. I look forward to staying next year!

The hallway was under construction and looked rather old and shabby. The rooms had a simple look, but were well kept and time was taken to keep places neat. My personal highlight was the pool and sauna area. These have been very well maintained. And can easily be accessed. Also , the service was great. And the break fast buffet was awesome!

We stayed here for three nights in October. My room (61) felt new with a very nice bathroom and a small terrace. The breakfast, lunch and dinner tasted quite good even if pumpkin soup isn't my favourite. The pub in the basement is quite cosy as well. The relax is undergoing renovations but the pool and dry sauna was quite nice. The staff is very helpful and talking English worked fine.

People were not very kind. I had some special wishes, like early check in for example, the crew seemed to be somewhat annoyed by my needs. I was at room 11, everything in there is old, which is the theme of the hotel and not really a problem. But things are all worn out, dirty curtains and mold in the shower have mithing to do with the theme of this place. The bed - even for a single room - was very small. The lamp at the bedside (which did not work) was very dusty. Beeing allergic to dust I had a rough night in my room. Breakfast has everything you an is fairly cheap for 8 Euros. At my checkout nobody was even interested how my stay was. Considering the hotel is 90-120 Euro per night, I would not visit this unfriendly, kind of dirty place again.

For 150 eur per night I expect more Room is cold, less than 20°C. No slippers, no bathrobe. Room numbers and entrance are not marked clearly. Breakfast is basic and poor. Orange juice is fresh. No sound insulation. You hear everything from hall and other rooms. At least room is clean. There is much better accomodation in Esslingen for that money.

Arrogant communication, nil customer service, last minute changes, certainly not a 4* facility. Not recommended unless you like unpleasant surprise.

Entering a room while you are out , arrogant behavior , i will never back here in my life , the worst weekend of my life so far !!!!!

It's more like a 3 star hotel ..rooms are pretty small but looks refurbished. No key cards, only 1 physical key given even for two occupants, no iron box or coffee machines in the rooms..staff is friendly and helpful and there is housekeeping every day. The Breakfast is typical German as well..they do have an indoor pool, gym and sauna

The rooms are clean but not easy to get to. There is a maze you need to win to get to your room. No food or bar on Sunday or Monday.

Nice hotel, nice staff, nice breakfast but don’t have gym open in the morning (only from 17:00 to 21:00) or to only have 1 iron in the whole hotel doesn’t make sense.

Hotel feels very welcoming. Rooms are spacious and really well appointed. Lovely bathroom with great shower.
