The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Took advantage of the downtown location to walk to dinner, check out a couple galleries, and have drinks. It was simply brilliant considering their incredibly competitive prices! I highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting downtown!

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was really convenient, perfect location and it had all the amenities that I needed and the WiFi was super fast! Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be in the city for a short stay. Lawrence was really helpful.

Horrible experience here. I understand this is not an Hotel, but a Hostel, but there should be a minimum of quality and cares. -The noises during the night makes impossible to rest. -We had drunk guests in out floor knocking in our doors 2 nights in a row. Looks more like a party hostel -The room is smaller than in the picture of reservation (Booking) -The price is crazy for the quality given (Most extreme in low quality/ high prices I ever seen)

Stayed for one night in the hostel when visiting Dusseldorf, the location is amazing and you have everything you need around you within walking distance. The rooms were nice and clean, you had everything you needed there when arriving after a long journey such as towels, tea / coffee, etc, and the hostel manager was very friendly and guided me on where to go in Dusseldorf for great food, shopping, and drinks. If you are going to stay in Dusseldorf, this is the place to book!

What an amazing hostel! Perfectly located in the city center. The host was amazing and so was the room, it exceeded my expectations. The cleaning, for me its the most important thing when choosing an accommodation, and this place was super clean! It was our 3rd time in Düsseldorf and we are definitely going to come back to this place. Highly recommended!

I booked a Double Room for my partner and myself and we were really happy wiith everything. The room was spacious and clean, as well as the bathrooms. When we checked in, we realised that I made a mistake and booked a twin room, instead of a double bed room. The Hostel was really helpful and organised us a new room within 5 minutes, without any extra charges. Whenever i need another hostel, i will get back to BLK!

The location is great, but each floor only has a toilet/shower room, so usage is limited. No matter how much it is, it's too little. For this price, hotels nearby are sufficient.

Good stay for 2 days. Very easy self check in. Very clean place. Walking distance to little tokyo and all the amazing Korean Japanese food. Also close to all clothes and shoes shops. You can as well walk to Rhine river. Only the pillow was not good. Otherwise nice place to stay.

I stayed here with a friend. The rooms were good for the price and had comfortable beds with 2 pillows and a nice blanket. We got a room with a bathroom that was shared between 6 rooms. It was a tidy bathroom, but it did make it hard to get ready in the morning, although with the price we paid this was not that big of an issue. The rooms were quite noisy though, so it was very easy to hear people in the hallway or in other rooms. It's located right in the city centre so it's easy to get to shops etc. There was no staff, so you have to check in yourself etc., which is fine, but when we had a question there was no one to talk to and the host did not respond to our message.

Poor cleanliness in the room itself (the bedsheet was not changed when I checked in with some Himbeeren and hair hided under the blanket) and the shared bathroom is flooded with water because it is kaput. Water heater is not working and hair dryer is also not working. The check in system is loud as I can hear the next door noise.

It was nice but our TV was broken and they didn't fix it until the next day where we had to leave. But great for anyone who wants as little human contact as possible.

Overall good memories associated with the stay. Clean, quiet and free Nespresso with a mini fridge in the room. Vending machine on the ground floor is a good idea, which helps guests to save some time.

Provided you are alone in the floor the concept of hostel/hotel is quite nice. However, if you happen to have noisy neighbours, it can be a bit unpleasant.

Excellent location, easy walk to lots of shops, places to eat and see…pretty much everything. Amazing room as well, plenty of space and great decor. The owner was very friendly and helpful in every way! The guest manual and city guide was great, loved the recommendations for dining, shopping and sights to see. It was incredibly helpful. Free nespresso and tea was great as well! I would highly recommend Blk Hostel and stay again!

Well-placed hostel, great service, clean, good-looking rooms. The only flaw being small amount of bathrooms per floor and bed mattress being bit worn already, but in general I highly recommend it

So its an AMAZING host. We were way to early and he came as soon as we called him. Also he gaved us a list of fun things to do in Düsseldorf! The rooms were pretty, the beds are AMAZING. Its next to a busy road, but you don't really hear cars. So the night is very peacefull. You can't park here, but like on a 5 minutes walk you'l find a garage for €10 a day. ( MAIN STATION PARKING, not the other ones)

Nice hotel very closed to the city centre. Nothing to complaint about. It’s roomy, luminous, clear and quiet. In my room, I had a flat-screen TV with Netflix, Nespresso coffee machine and all the classics: WiFi etc. This hotel offers the best deal at the fairest price ever!

The sound insulation is too poor and it is difficult to fall asleep

Great place for a short stay in Düsseldorf. I booked online and then I was contacted immediately by the host. I was then sent self checkin and self checkout instructions via whatsapp which was super easy and convenient. I wish more places would do this with the checkins and checkouts. Location is perfect, it is basically right in the center of the city with many shopping stores and restaurants nearby. The rooms were nice and clean as well as the shared bathrooms. I can only recommed this place and I would definitely stay here again.

Best Hostel Experience in Germany by far. Very central and newly renovated rooms. Excellent service and welcoming was outstanding. Prices are very fair for the quality you get!

Our stay at BLK hostel was wonderful: this is an absolutely superb place! Everything from the room and the shared bathroom was super clean and the whole setup is done with such love and care. Fabulous host who goes above and beyond, you could not ask for a better host than Lawrence. He was very helpful with any questions we had and gave great advice for restaurants and places to see. There are many breakfast options available with many restaurants and cafe's just a few steps up the street. We also loved the location, basically everything (museums, shopping, lots of restaurants) is within walking distance of a few minutes and tram stops are also just up the street. Overall we loved the place and cannot praise it highly enough, it is in our top three hostel places we stayed at over the last 5 years.

I rarely post reviews, but my experience at BLK was so positive i felt compelled to! The property is ideally located, minutes walk from the bustling city centre! The rooms are newly renovated and very modern, kudos to the designer, he/she did a great job. The cleanliness was impeccable and the staff very warm and helpful. This was my very first time staying at a hostel, and BLK definitely set the bar very high! Overall it was a very pleasant experience, would definitely recommend!

First things first, this place is probably one of the cleanest and safest hostel that can be found in the area. It’s prime location gets you pretty much where you’d need to be. Staff are easy-going and helpful. Shared bathroom is spacious, offers free toiletries and is regularly cleaned. Lastly, wasn’t expecting a mini-fridge and a Nespresso machine with some complimentary coffee pods in a hostel. I’d be glad to re-book it again but probably via their own website.
