We stayed in the hotel for 2 days. We couldn’t find any suitable 5-star hotels, so booked this hotel because it’s at least a 4-star hotel; we booked their best room which was the Panorama Suite. First, Nobody was carrying our luggages when we parked the car in front of it. We had to carry our luggages and walked to the front desk. The facility was quite old and outdated. No slippers in the room. The WiFi disconnected all the time. The breakfast buffet closed at 10 am. The infinity pool was closed all the time due to technical reasons (the pool was the only reason that we booked this hotel). When we checked out, the price was unbelievable high, because they put lots of miscellaneous fees in, completely overpriced hotel. The worst was the dinner, it was 29€ per person buffet, in a 4-star hotel, hard to believe right? Of course it was horrible, the food tasted really bad, the salad was very dirty like the vegetables weren’t even cleaned. We didn’t eat much and came back to the room. After just 2 hours, I had severe stomach pain and diarrhea, almost fainted in the bathroom, then spent the entire night in the toilet and vomiting. My boyfriend also got stomach cramps. This is my first time and first day experience in Black Forest. Will post the same review on Expedia and Bookings. Switching to a 5-star hotel tomorrow…

We stayed here to finish off our Black Forest tour. We were welcomed enthusiastically with some bubbles and shown to our room, which was comfortable and as expected. We loved the sauna and spa facilities and spent a long while in the outdoor pool too - video to boot. We had half board and enjoyed the food, but might have preferred an a la carte menu. Breakfast was good. All in all, would recommend.

Certainly a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Its only a shame that the hotel's customer relations let's it down. On our last and second stay we had a couple of issues. I thought it might be helpful to raise and mention them which I did via email. Sadly my emails were not answered, just simply ignored.

Best place to stay and go for Hiking in black forest , best staff and service

We stayed here in April 2023 in the off-season. The hotel is easy to get to and has parking at the front. The staff are friendly, speak great english and are very welcoming and helpful. Because it was off-season, we were upgraded to a more luxurious room at no extra cost. The panorama pool is amazing in all weather! The breakfast is a extensive buffet and suited to all tastes and diets. I'd actually like to visit again!

In 2021, the indoor pool was remodeled (fabulous) and an outdoor infinity pool was added. Imagine being in the warm water, surrounded by snow. Fantastic! Should your beloved happen to have birthday, or just for any occasion, the nice people at the reception will make sure she (or he) finds fresh flowers at the breakfast table. These also look nice in the snow. 😉 Speaking of breakfast: There's something for everyone and the quality is excellent. Have I mentioned the open fireplace at the bar, where everybody gathers in the evening to enjoy a drink? Combine all that with the friendly and helpful staff and you've got the most wonderful getaway. We've been here a few times and we certainly will be back.

The hotel is really really great. The rooms are really clean, the staff is helpful and always friendly and the food in the restaurant was amazing. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of typical breakfast items and everything was really tasty. Because of the Corona virus there were minor restrictions but you are able to use all services except for the steam room. I really recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay during your hiking trip or spa weekend.

The rooms were spacious, it even had a walk in closet! The balcony had a lovely view of the rolling hills. Bathroom was amazing, I would guess it had been updated not too long ago. The MOST IMPORTANT thing for me was that they provided amazing gluten free food. The chef was able to easily tell me at the buffet what was/wasn't Celiac friendly. My husband and I will definitely be going back here!

Modern and elegant hotel with a nice wellness and spa area, beautiful views at the black forest valley and a perfect location for exploring the area and outdoor activities. The breakfast buffet is my highlight!!! We had a great stay here for one night and enjoyed one day of wellness and one of hiking in the area! Staff was friendly and welcoming and the rooms were modern and clean with a big SmartTV and good WiFi. Their garage is equipped with a charging station for EV's. The Wellness area includes two saunas, one steam bath, two pools, a gym and offers massages (for extra money), all in a very vibey and relaxed ambient. They have free waters and teas and it's just perfect to relax indoors or outdoors. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet is extraordinary! It's plentiful, offers an huge variety to choose from and everything is fresh and tasty! Nice bonus that you can enjoy it on the terrace on a sunny day and that they have an "omelette station". Just the breakfast is a reason to come back! Thanks for a great stay.

It was beautiful, relaxing with delicious food

Nice view. Nice rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Dinner quality concerning meat very good however fish was dry and a bit hard to bite. Room's temperature was low and the heater was off so it was cold and uncomfortable to sleep. Finish sauna was not hot enough and pool water was also rather cold. Tennis courts should be quartz sand but no sand was in it and the court was rather wet and slippery because of rain and cold weather.

Sehr aufmerksam !! Very friendly staff. My child has got allergy and they were very service oriented to adjust the salad dressing to milk allergy client, same goes for the dessert.
