I run a motorcycle tour company and use hotels all over Europe and beyond. In the last month I’ve stayed at Hotel Hochfirst on two separate occasions, once on my own and once with a group of 10. On both occasions Julia and Tom were outstanding hosts and their staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is a family run business with the children popping in and out of the restaurant or office, making this a truly remarkable homely place to stay. The hotel itself is simply beautiful, it’s a mix of traditional Black Forest decor and architecture, with some beautiful modern rooms. And the location is so quiet and peaceful, just what’s needed after a long day riding a motorcycle. The food is great and there’s plenty of it too. In all honesty this is one of my favourite hotels and my clients wholeheartedly agreed with me. To put it simply this hotel and its staff are fabulous.

Sheer pleasure. Definitely one of the best places I stayed in. I was there with my wife and 2 kids, together with 2 other families of friends. Ricardo and Wolfgang (Our hosts) were very welcoming and willing to help. The place is super clean and sits in a small nice village very close to lake Titisee. The hotel also give the red card which grants free access to dozens of attractions and site. I strongly recommend

This is a very nice hotel, located in the middle of the Black Forest near the Titisee, where all kinds of excursions are possible. Staff was friendly, kind and very cooperative. We got trip suggestions and optional ones based on the weather condition which were really excellent Rooms were clean, quite large and well equipped. Good breakfast, and delicious dinner with a wide range of options. Our granddaughter who has celiac syndrome was treated with the warmest attitude in the dining room. I highly recommend this hotel! It’s a family run hotel which makes it even more special! Absolutely loved the hospitality. The room are huge with balcony, breakfast is amazing, dinner menu is super tasty with a very reasonable price! The hotel gives you chalet vibes in between the beautiful mountains and pine trees! I always believe in quality vs quantity! Everything here was top notch and quality service! We are now going to visit this place every year! They also have a very nice play area for babies which is sweet! Lounge room with a lot of board games, tv etc! I am totally in love this place!

Very cozy, clean, family hotel, 6 km from Titsee in the beautiful countryside of the Black Forest. Communication, welcome, service in the restaurant absolutely TOP. The owners, the staff were all very friendly, I still have to smile..... You will feel like at home here. Nice, clean rooms with a very comfortable bed and balcony . Dinner was really a very tasty and varied selection of dishes. Breakfast was also very good and service still with a big smile ♥ Thanks again for the beautifully set table. The hotel is really cozy and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. The wellness area normally is not working and one should request them to start the sauna whenever he wants to use it. The pool was not working at all. Breakfast is good but it needs more variety. The red black forest card is a big bonus.

The two people managing the hotel were very cordial, forthcoming and eager to make our 7-day stay as pleasant as possible, and they both speak good English, which was very helpful. The room we got was very spacious, and it cleaned every morning while we had breakfast. As October 1st was my birthday, our table at breakfast was decorated and a candle was lit for me, and I received a bottle of sparkling wine, and all these came as a pleasure surprise. Breakfast was great and the lady in charge of the dining room was very kind and made us coffee of our choice. The location of the hotel is great- between lake Titisee and Schluchsee. I cannot think of anything that was bad during our week stay. It really exceeded our expectations.

Very pleasant place and clean. The staff was unusually sensitive and helpful. To give some examples: One of us wanted the Soya milk for the coffee and they arranged it, they gave us a small refrigerator which helped us a lot. They kept the room clean tidy every day. They even folded our children clothes. Breakfast was excellent- varied and fresh.
