Gute Pizzeria mit großen ca.40cm Pizzas 🍕 echt riesig . Das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht es sollte also reserviert werden. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Immer gerne wieder Alex

Nach unserem Sightseeing- bzw. Weihnachtsmarkt-Trip durch Esslingen sind wir in der L'Osteria gelandet, weil allein das Gebäude von außen schon so schön war. Das Ambiente im Restaurant war dann auch super schön und gemütlich. Bestellt haben wir die Pizza Quattro Formaggi und die Maccheroncini Gorgonzola - beides wirklich sehr lecker und v.a. eine große Portion! Lediglich meine Spezi hat für meinen Geschmack leider zu sehr nach Wasser geschmeckt bzw. war wohl etwas verdünnt. Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner und leckerer Abend!

Essen sehr gut, Pizza ist Riesig aber sehr gut. Service sehr freundlich und Berät auch gut. Das Lokal am Eingang zum Marktplatz mitten im Fluss gut gelegen. Hier geht man gerne wieder hin.

Erstbesuch. Reinkommen und Wohlfühlen. Das "Multikulti" (auch im Service; sehr aufmerksam und fix) - herrlich zu beobachten: läuft alles rund und vermittelt ein Wohlfühl-Ambiente. 👍 Danke! Die Location an sich schön gelegen, innen und außen gibt's nix zu meckern. Und auch das Essen (in meinem Fall Pizza): hier ist großer Hunger und/oder Mitbringsel für Zuhause angesagt. Deutsches und italienisches Bier. Gute Weine. Rund herum seh ich nur glückliche Gesichter... Wirklich eine Empfehlung! Reservierung erforderlich (wen wundert's). 👏 Gerne wieder - und weiter so! 👍

Unfortunately the very poor service outweighs the good food and beautiful location. We waited 25 minutes before our very rude waitress would even let us quickly ask for the check. 8 different times she walked Past and if we tried to ask for the check, she just interrupted us and said “one moment, one moment, one more moment“ which eventually led to my being very, very close to just walking out without paying. Luckily, my friend’s more patient approach prevailed. We had intended to order dessert and coffee, but gave that up after 15 minutes. When we were finally able to pay and leave, there were at least 10 parties of guests waiting for seating, while we waited to pay… The restaurant was indeed very busy on this evening, but had we been able to finish our sentence at one time or another, our waitress could have just dropped off the check on one of the trips past our table. And then, when she finally did come over, I asked for the check and for the leftovers to be packed, and she said “no no only one thing at a time“, which was quite the stupidest thing I had ever heard. It was rather like she was intentionally trying to make every little thing take just that much longer than was necessary.

Perfect location and great service. We didn’t have reservations on a busy night and the team here worked to fit us in. Excellent ambience, food, and beverages. They made an alcohol-free cocktail for our child. We had lasagna, orecchiette, and spaghetti. All delicious. Espresso and tartufo for dessert. Family friendly. Recommend!

One of the best restaurants in Esslingen. In my opinion, one must really try Risotto Fungi if you are a vegetarian and one can also eat the vegetarian pizza which is also good. The best Risotto Fungi is made here. Vegetarians, go for it.

1 star because 0 is not possible. Staff randomly okay, mostly bad, bless them. Management is simply rude and unprofessional. This l‘Osteria just doesn’t care about customers… that’s just sad for a restaurant. If you’re hungry skip it and go somewhere else, Esslingen has much better to offer.

One of the best restaurants I have been in Esslingen. Besides the great location and cozy atmosphere with an open kitchen, food quality is way higher than regional standards. I can only recommend!

Italienisches Restaurant im historischen Gebäude mit nettem Ambiente und freundlichem Service. Das Essen war frisch und typisch. Das Personal unverbindlich, aber freundlich. Die Pizza ist riesig und hat einen Durchmesser von 40 cm.

We were group of six and got a table without a booking which we appreciated. The sad thing was a chaotic staff and a long waiting to order anything. I ordered gnocchi with beef. Gnocchi doesn't look like gnocchi and didn't taste. The taste was more to pasta. Beef could be definitely more tender. I had a bit of pizza to taste and I enjoy more. + exterior and interior are very charming + what I like the most is view of open kitchen when you can observe a skillful hands of the staff. - unmaintained toilets

Sehr schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen und netter Service. Die Toilette könnten öfter geputzt werden. Wenn man zur Toilette will,sollte man sich den Code merken, sonst kommt man nicht rein. Das Lokal ist über eine Treppe zu erreichen, also ich habe nicht gesehen, ob man mit Rollstuhl anders ins Lokal gelangt. Aber wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen

Nice location and a busy restaurant. Pizza is nice but pasta is not so great. Drinks are good.

Location was perfect and beautiful, surrounded by the river. The restaurant itself was spacious and could fit many people. We tried pasta, pizza and Tiramisu. They were all delicious, the pizza's size was huge and actually enough for two people. Tiramisu was nice. The. prices are reasonable and the service was okay. Overall, a place to come back again one day in the future :)

Beautiful location, original italian flavours, nice staff. One of the best part was the noisy, italian-family-like atmosphere. The prices are reasonable: full dinner costs €20-25/person.

Einfach WOW! Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend dort und es war komplett voll! Als wir durch die Stadt liefen waren alle anderen Restaurants und Bars so ziemlich leer, nicht aber hier! Trotzdem haben wir nach kurzem Warten direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen der auf richtig gute Pizza steht. Um es in den Worten des Kellners zu beschreiben: Mega Groß und Mega Lecker! Geschmacklich unfassbar gut, die Drinks an der Bar perfekt gemischt, der Service kaum zu toppen und am Preis kann man hier wirklich nicht meckern! Chapeau!

Usually i like it really much, but last time and this time again, the logistics were really bad. Last time: needed to walk to someone to order, 2 times being asking for order and still wrong drinks, and pizza serving person seemed to be in a bad mood, took away the big papers with an annoyed tone, saying that there are not those papers for 2 half pizzas. This time mood was good, order was also easy. Other people came to other tables near us, later they got their drinks and food, still nothing here. We got really thirsty. Then a person came, explained that there was a mix up in kitchen, really sorry.. and needed to get our order again, drinks and food. Lets hope visit number 3 in 1-2 weeks is better. I love the pizza but logistics inside seem to be really bad.

Delicious food. Interesting layout with lots of dining areas that keeps the house down. Staff was attentive and helpful. Location is great too. I have to go back there on a summer afternoon If you like Italian food, don't miss this one

Pizza was delicious! Quaint and touristy at the same time. Right in the middle of the city...beautiful little spot for pizza and wine!

They get 5 stars for food because the pizza is very good and big. Also a plus is that they have vegan cheese. It is a nice location if you can get a table outside on the water. However, the service is quite bad. When we were waiting for our table at the bar, no one offered us a drink for 15+ minutes. When I tried to call over the barkeep, she ignored me multiple times and clearly did not care about providing any kind of service. The general attitude from most of the staff is that they don't care.

Fantastic location, amazing (and huge!) pizzas, great beer, overall a really good place for lunch and to just relax and enjoy by the river. Highly recommended if you're visiting Esslingen

Osteria is one of the best Italian restaurant located in Esslingen. Their pizzas are homemade and are prepared with fresh ingredients. The service is almost fast with friendly staff. There is nothing to say about the value for money. Parking in the surrounding area is complicated with parking spaces reserved for residents.

L'Osteria seems to be the main place Esslingen goes for dinner - always busy, but seemingly efficient. Pizza's were good, definitely take the size into consideration - one pizza was definitely too much for one person in our case, but in general that gives money worth too. Prices are medium low. Food quality was good. Service works fast. Definitely will return.

The place is really nice and charming! Pasta is great and the pizza is so good and it’s also huge so you can share it and save room for desert. Worth a visit just be aware that the service is not that good.

I'm not usually a fan of Italian chain restaurants. I prefer smaller mom n pop owned places. The L'Osteria in Esslingen was absolutely WONDERFUL!! The only disappointment was my espresso....subpar.....BUT the Margherita pizza and the Lillet Wildberry was fantastic!! And the table service was awesome!! Great job!!

The place is popular and at a good spot so mostly FULL. We had to wait for a while. The food was OKAY. We tried the Zoodles. LET'S BE HONEST HERE! They were zucchini cut in shape of noodles and nothing more and it is NOT NOODLES. I missed some spices here. However the staff was nice to change the dish from prawn zoodles to chicken zoodles. Tomato spaghetti had too much tomato sauce. It also had garlic mentioned in menu but I didn't get the taste actually due to enough tomato sauce. It is located near the Roßneckarkanal and had a good vibe. However the wait made it difficult for us. Price was a bit high because the restaurant is popular.

Nice ambience indoor and outdoor on the terrace immediately next to the Neckar. The portions are huge and really delicious. I ordered the Insalata Casa and was surprised by the amount of tuna that was on the salad. The dressing wasn't exactly to my liking, but even though the salad was really tasty. Friendly and kind staff. Fast service. It's a bit pricy but due to the huge portions and the quality of the authentic Italian food it's fine

Great service and food and of course, the location is wonderful! I sat on the patio and so many tourists took photos of me...uh...at the restaurant.

An awesome Italian restaurant situated just by the banks of Rossneckarkanal. Generally, this place is hustling and bustling with people trying to sit by the kanal and enjoy their peaceful meal. One needs to cross the neckar and go down the stairs on the left and then reach this place just opposite to the Japanese place. We tried their Weizen, which was very fresh, we also went for their pizzas. And boy they are huge. JFYI, you can get two different types of pizzas in one. I went for the spicy Nduja Calabrese and the BBQ chicken. I liked it very much! Again, FYI, a pizza can be easily shared by two. Just one point of improvement, they should work upon the flooring, especially the part outside. The flooring was almost rotten on one point and I was afraid I might fall through it, as I was seating right on top of that place. Rest apart, its a must try !!

Overall quality is good, but people need to understand and answer correctly when asked about sugar added and ingredients containing sugar, because diabetic people may have serious problems.
