Knuffiges kleines Café in guter zentraler Lage, nahe dem bekannten 'Sankt Stephan'. Hervorragender Cappuccino, sehr leckere Granola und Kardamomschnecke sowie super Banana bread. Kommen sicher wieder!

Best coffee in town. Besides excellent specialty coffee (roasted by themselves) Kaffeekommune also offers selected exciting coffee variations. Eg their winter menu includes the combination of a Colombian natural with deer ham - sounds crazy but both tasted delicious.

Wir haben im SWR Handwerkskunst "Wie ein Barrista Espresso und Latte Art macht" gesehen und hatten sofort Lust und Appetit das Kaffee auszuprobieren. Leider eine riesen Enttäuschung! Der Kaffee war super flach, überhaupt nicht vollmundig, ganz wenig Aromatik und bitter im Abgang. Vlt hatten sie einen extrem schlechten Tag...? Die guten Bewertungen zum Espresso konnten wir nicht nachvollziehen. Die Bedienungen waren auch ziemlich überfordert und chaotisch trotz des kleinen Ladens. Vlt sollte man nicht die sitzenden Gäste warten lassen, aber die Theke nach draußen für "To Go" im Pappbecher bedienen? Die Gebäckstückchen waren sehr gut, aber dafür geht man ja nicht unbedingt in einen Barristaladen der mit "Der beste Kaffee der Stadt" wirbt. Sehr sehr schade!

Sehr gemütliches und schönes Café mit einem sehr netten Personal, das einen bei seiner Kaffeewahl gut beraten kann. Der Kaffee und vor allem das Bananenbrot sind sehr lecker :)

I tried the Cortado today. Fantastic coffee, one of the best, if not the best i have tried so far anywhere.

I know, it's an issue of personal preference but there are two things I would like to point out: explicitly no sugar as it should not be necessary for a well prepared coffee and the offered omni roast profile. I've never understood why an espresso should be much stronger or more bitter and not as fruity as a filter coffee. The prepared coffees at Kaffeekommune are excellent and so is the coffee they sell. I both recommend to go there and to buy their coffee beans for home.

Quaint little place with adorable outdoor seating. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They speak English for this of us who don't speak German, also you can place and order to go. Just go to the order window outside the cafe

Lieblingscafé in Mainz mit super leckeren Flat White, Cappuccino und Scones! Kaffee etwas teurer aber dafür mit der leckersten den man bekommen kann in einem kleinen, gemütlichen Café. Bedienung sehr nett, schneller Service und Personal weiß über ihre eigenen Produkte wie Bohnen sehr gut Bescheid wenn man welche zum Zuhause brühen kaufen will.

Eigentlich eine Frechheit unsererseits, dass wir die Kaffeekommune noch nicht bewertet haben. Seit über einem Jahr sind wir jeden Samstag morgen hier. Bei fast jedem Wetter. Im Sommer kann man hier schön draußen sitzen und bei kaltem Wetter ist es drinnen sehr gemütlich. Der Kaffee schmeckt sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für den leckeren Kaffee und den netten Service.

Der Kaffee war wirklich lecker, allerdings ist die Organisation im kleinen Laden ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig. Bargeldlose Zahlung ist möglich. 👍

Very good quality coffee. Ordered iced cappuccino and fizzy grape juice for the little ones. Staffs are super nice too. Saw an antique Japanese Kakigori maker there and other interior items from Kyoto which I found very good taste. One of the best coffee houses in Mainz.

very cool place! extremely cosy and delicious. kind and helpful staff. it's like a parent's home. :) i recommend trying the soup, scones and cold brew!) also respect for a toilet for disabled people and a changing table for parents with children. will definitely be back, thank you!

Best coffee in Mainz or Wiesbaden by a long shot. Truly world class. Also the service is extremely friendly which is a rarity in coffee shops of this quality. Typically there is a pretentiousness but not here, the staff are great!

A wonderful little place in Mainz, that is a must go place if you like good coffee and a nice atmosphere. Granted. I’ve only been there three times on two summers but it is still a place I look forward to visiting again at some point.

THE coffee shop in the town :) Because It is not enough to have a Marsocco and a wonderful grinder if you put dark roast bean at 6euros/250g(a coffee producer can have a correct life at this price and can take care of environment!) !!!!! Here, you can find delicious coffee(about 10euros/250g minimum price for a good coffee) carefully done at each step: green bean selection, roasting, espresso skills :) Delicious cake too :) Open the door of fine coffee ! The Flat White was probably the best I've ever tasted!

A good coffee place with a very and friendly staff and a cosy outside seating. The pastry - a shortbread - was good as well. On the other hand, the coffee was a bit a disappointment: not bad overall, but definitely not up to the standard - too creamy and watery, coffee taste itself felt weak.

Good coffee, I believe. I couldn’t get what I desired due to the rigidity of the barista so I struggled through a full strength. “We don’t do weak but it’s not bitter”. No, it wasn’t bitter but it was still no pleasure for someone who likes it weak. One star less for the “attitude”
