Apparently the CEO is going to fire all the unvaccinated employees in march despite the supreme court stopping the OSHA mandate. I think this is really scummy, petty, and frankly illegal on the international scale; coercing people to take medical intervention they do not want by eliminating their livelihood is evil. On top of that you will find no mention of this on their website about this because they want it under the rug. I don't think the standard member is going to appreciate you firing staff- especially when they've been behind plexiglass and masks the last two years.

Terrible place to work, treats employees like trash. Will schedule you for a four hour shift but make you clock out for two of those hours. Really sketchy doesn’t appreciate their employees. Aquatics director will talk about you behind your back and make you not want to work there anymore. Prepare to get used and abused. I’ve worked at other y’all and never have a seen such unprofessionalism

Been coming here since I moved to NB. Membership is a little bit pricer than Boston. But that’s ok, lots of exercise programs to participate in and adequate workout equipment to utilize. Staff is friendly and helpful. Everything you need in a gym is here and then some. Definitely the best YMCA on the South Coast.

The life guard at the pool was not very nice he would kick people out the pool for the littlest reason and was just rude overall I will go back just not the pool

Great place to do cardio. But if you’re serious about bodybuilding then skip this one. Everything is too close, I was trying to do leg extensions and had to stop mid set to let people pass by, the fluorescent lighting kills your mood. Feels like being inside a school basement. The pool is nice and the classes are cool if you’re into it. Honestly the staff is really really good and look Ike they enjoy working there and everyone in the gym is cool. But if you’re the kinda of person who wants to absolutely kill your workout the vibe just isn’t there.

Love this gym. Large enough to give you space no matter your workout. Pool, steam rooms, lockers, courts, cardio, and weights. New machines too as of April 2019.

Love to go to the ymca because I was in a coma I couldn't walk or move from the waist down I been going there for as little as 6 months I been working out focusing on my legs today I'm happy to say thanks to the ymca and effort I put on my self I can walk again I'm not 100 percent but I can do it I want to thank the ymca for my life back thanks evette

I love the ymca but to have baby swimming classes and the poor babies lips are turning blue and there shivering is a little crazy. I don’t understand why the pool is not at least warm in the summer time!

I have come back. Registered. One individual was not understanding when I returned to pick up my card as instructed. Better training, very frustrating 😑

Very nice place to do workout when away from home. Friendly stuff and members. Steam room is a great addition. Definitely will come back when visiting New Bedford.😀
