If you like thin crust pizza, this is the best place around. Especially the linguiça, the flavor is the best. Has a very big, loaded with cheese and meat sauce, lasagna. Think it's made in a loaf pan. Made fresh to order so it takes a while but well worth the wait. Very reasonable for the size and quality at $10. Many things I haven't had but when you start off with these 2 things, it's hard to have anything else. Very small place but dining room is not open yet. Mostly a takeout place anyway. No delivery (that I know of) and cash only.

Ray’s is some of THE best pizza in New Bedford if not the whole SouthCoast. The place may be unassuming, nothing flashy about the joint, no banks of wide screen tvs or $12 mixed drinks, but who needs any of that when you can just have good food. Their thin crust is very very similar to south shore bar pizza and absolutely delicious. Their antipasto is enormous. Enough for at least two meals. Good dressing too, not just cheap packets. We’ve only had some of their pasta but it was also really well done and the portions were huge. Prices are fantastic. We got four pizzas, fries and an order of cheese with sauce for right around $50 the other day. Ray’s is an absolute must if you’re local and if you’re not it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area. Even my kids (3 and 5) love it.

Best linqucia pizza you can get. Old school pizza place. You order over phone, cash only, and normally waiting 3-5 minutes after you arrive. You know it’s good pizza when you put up with that and still happy you ordered there. Great thin crust bar pizza.

Best pizza in the area! Such a wonderful family owned business. My husband gets pizza every Friday and had never been disappointed!

Just had the worst pizza in my life, I felt like going back and throwing it on the counter. It was nasty, in pieces, (not a circle) and the flap from the too was jammed into my pizza. Last couple of times were awful. Rays u really went down hill.

Some of the better pizza in the New Bedford area. If like a thick crust or deep dish, Ray's is not for you but if you like thin crust, bar style pizza, it's a good pie.

Order rays once a week just about. And it never disappoints! Fries are crispy and hot, lingucia pizza is thin and tasty cooked to perfection and salad is delicious with chicken on top! Whole family is happy! Thank you Rays!

Take out only. Delicious thin crust pizza. I had a linguica, mushroom and pepper, and a blond greco.

A real life character from Bob's Burgers. Comically bad customer service but I don't care. The pizza was good! Three topping pizza and tuna antipasto for $21. You win Bob, I mean Ray. No indoor seating. Be ready to wait in your car if it isn't ready.

The only reason we go there is the pizzas are good, other than that we wouldn't place a foot in there. The owner, Ray is one of the most miserable business owners I've ever run across. Rude, sarcastic to his customers, just an all around nasty personality. And by the way, this is the consensus of all the people I've talked to. Too bad.

Ray's pizza is absolutely the best pizza place around, in the south shore area! It's the best little pizza joint, and it's our favorite, hands down!! We've tried a million different pizza places, all over south shore, and everytime..Ray's pizza wins!! It's always the same, so always consistent... the flavor.. the sauce..the crust.. everything about their pizza is FIRE! If you love pizza, then you gotta try Ray's! We live over an hour away now, but my mom still lives down that way, so we visit often.. but we gladly take the drive, atleast 1 or twice a month sometimes more, just for Ray's pizza! Have had it a million times over, and everytime it's ALWAYS the bomb..never changes!! Best pizza around!!

Cash only place but their atm doesn't work. Owner wasn't helpful and didnt seem to care. I had to leave to find an atm. That was probably a sign that I shouldn't have gone back. Picked up my pizza and chicken fries and when I got home proceeded to eat the worst meal I have had in years. Chicken fries tasted like they were cooked in month old oil. Pizza was soggy, falling apart, and just sidnt taste good. I think the owners have given up. Bad service, bad food. I won't be coming back.

I walked in with my boyfriend, the man behind the counter handed us the pizza and said how does it look? I said “it looks burnt where’s the cheese” he then says “excuse me, I’ve been making pizza for 40 years” I said well would you take a picture of this and advertise it? He gets mad. Very unprofessional. Just get a sub, he makes a good sub.

I’m from Florida, living in Massachusetts for 4 years, this has been the best pizza I’ve had since I’ve been here, like for real so good, but the customer service is TERRIBLE!!! They are so rude, I don’t take it personal but it’s not good for business, and they only take cash :( it’s 2023 for crying out loud!

So, so bad! This was one of the worst take-out experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was rude during every interaction. The food was awful. The garlic bread is garlic salt on toast, I was shocked at how terrible it was. My pasta had 2 full cups of water in the dish. The fries were cooked in dirty oil. The *only* part of my order that wasn’t immediately thrown into the trash was the pizza, which was fine. Their prices don’t match the ones listed on the menu that *they manage* through their Google Places page. An order that I expected to be about $28 was “$40” - no change, just $40 even. The woman behind the counter telling us this had absolutely zero care or concern. I will passionately dissuade people from going here every chance I get. Do not waste your money at this dump!

Tried Ray's for the 1st time, not knowing what to expect. Just that a visit was long overdue since its local to me. It's a pub style pizza and very thin. Similar to the local Italian places in the city. Really, not my style of pizza, but I wanted to give it a try. Went with Linguica, Pepperoni and Sausage. Had a decent crunch, a little greasy, little bit of tang on the sauce. Good coverage with the cheese. Overall taste was okay, not blown away. Was hoping it would have been better. Good value for the price. I split the pizza, but could have easily eaten it all by myself. No issues with service and plenty of parking.

Cash only? Well worth it! This is my wife's favorite pizza. We travel a half hour to pick it up. The staff is always friendly even though they are exceptionally busy.

I called and asked what kind the pizza you got, the guy put me on hold for long time and the woman answers said what you mean and hung off the phone. Very rude, terrible service.

The pizza was good but the size was way too small, they need to make the pizza to at least fit the size of the box!!

  • 1/5 Edward D. 1 year ago on Google
Horrible service. Absolutely horrible pizza. What's surprising is that they've been doing business in that location for years! Here's the thing; I can't cook, so I've had pizza from all over. Even with my cooking handicap, even I couldn't make a pizza that bad. If I could take my one star back I would.
