Literally everything on the menu is amazing. The owner and staff interact with the clientele like neighbors....because they are. Full bar, mostly top shelf and classy.

Casual yet fine dining in east New Braunfels. It’s nice to be on the east side of 35 where parking is easy and the atmosphere relaxed. Texas Bistro is located in a retail strip and across from a farm. The menu includes American favorites like burgers and some more unique dishes such as pecan crusted brie. My compliments to the chef for coming up with a unique and mouth watering menu that suits a variety of tastes. I had the pumpkin seed crusted shrimp for an appetizer. A little kick to it with the jalapeños. For dinner I had the pecan crusted chicken which was sweet and savory. Both were flavorful, unique, and delicious. I hear the brunch is excellent so I plan to give that a try next. I highly recommended Texas Bistro and will be back!

We finally gave this place a try after recently moving here and was thoroughly impressed. The buttermilk fried chicken breast was amazing, tender and flavorful, and paired perfectly with the sides. My spouse had the shrimp and grits and couldn't stop talking about it. We finished off the meal with a slice of key lime pie at the recommendation of our server, and it too was great. Not overly sweet, with just the right amount of crunch in the crust. This is definitely our go-to brunch place now.

One of the only places my fiancé and I will eat out at in New Braunfels. It is quality food, unique options, delicious drinks, and welcoming atmosphere.

If you have never been to Texas Bistro, this is definitely a place you should check out. The food here is amazing. Prices are the same or better than Chili's. Way better food for the same cost. Try the Pecan Crusted Chicken. It will not disappoint. Probably the best chicken dish I have ever had. Update: Went back for happy hour. Their incredible 1/2 pound Burger's are only $10. They come with amazing fries. That is less than a No. 2 with cheese Whataburger. There is no comparison between those.

Heck yeah this place is awesome! Everything we had from the cocktails to the dessert was exceptional. I've been to plenty of restaurants that are 2-5x more expensive than this one, and this is every bit as good (definitely better than some of them). I will definitely be back because there were plenty of things my wife and I wanted to try. Our server, Desiree, was excellent and she should get a raise.

Fantastic chef inspired fresh food. The ambiance is very casual and fun. Indoor or outdoor patio area are very comfortable. The staff is fast and friendly, the food is top shelf, no frozen fried stuff here, only fresh ingredients and flavor for days. Prices are great, portions could be a bit larger, but I just have a sweet desert and that tops me off. Ya just gotta give it a try, you’ll see why we love it.

My mom and I went here for brunch, which they do on Saturday's and Sunday's. Love the decor and the atmosphere. Service is friendly and prompt without being overbearing. I had the shrimp and grits. Cheesy, bacony goodness with lightly fried shrimp and a poached egg, like a hug in a bowl! Special thanks to Jason for making us feel welcome. Try this place - you won't be disappointed!

Great food in a cozy spot. I really enjoy that the menu isn’t your traditional fare. Pork chops on a bed of spinach with a sweet potato and bacon hash? Have tried a few dishes and never been disappointed. Service can be a touch slow, but I like to think that’s just the food taking a bit longer to taste so good.

Went for the 1st time last week & the host and server were absolutely AMAZING. Definitely made us feel at home!! The only reason I put 3 stars on the food is because my burger was pretty burnt, but I still ate most of it! The service and atmosphere alone make it definitely worth returning! I am definitely excited to try more things on the menu!! (Sidenotes: the fries were amazing!! The grilled cheese is made with REALLY thick bread, so if you have a child that is used to regular grilled cheeses, I wouldn't recommend) - the bread was too thick for my 2 year old to eat :( For an adult though it would be absolutely amazing! )

Nice restaurant gets busy quick, make a reservation so you don't have to wait. Found out on Sunday that they only do the brunch menu, appetizer, soup, and salad. Mother in law was really looking forward to the pasta dish. Food was pretty good and attentive staff.

The reviews of this bistro have been great and I must say they didn't lie. My wife and I went to try Texas Bistro out and we were not disappointed. The ribeye steak with buttered crab was delicious(pricey but steak is these days). My wife had the chicken fried chicken and it was delicious as well. I would say probably the only thing I would add is some warm rolls of some sort to round out the meal. We tried the Key Lime pie, it was very good as well. It is sourced from a bakery in San Antonio. If you like your Key Lime to be slightly tart with a mildly sweet punch afterward this is the one. The atmosphere is quaint and upscale, great place for adults on date brunch or date night. Quiet and cozy in a way. We will definitely go back.

Food was great. Went here with a group for a nice meal. Service was awesome and everyone’s meal was delicious. The restaurant could have used some background music but would love to come back here!

We've moved to Florida so hadn't been to Texas Bistro in several years. The good news is that it was as great as ever. My wife got her usual stuffed Poblano pepper with Chicken while I got the steak and eggs of all things with crispy fried potatoes and fried Jalapenos and it was yummy! Texas Bistro is fantastic every time! Our server was an angel (kicking myself for not remembering her name) and we are just so happy at the consistency they always have. We hope that you get a chance to grab a meal there because it's capital "T" Tasty and you'll be very glad that you went. Take Care and Happy Eating 😃 Rick W

Just ate here at 1pm on a Saturday. Our server was FANTASTIC, great sense of humor, and knew the menu really well. I ordered the fried chicken off the brunch menu and the hummus. Both were fresh and delicious. We’ll be back.

Easy to make a reservation for a large group. Nice variety on the menu. Loved the spinach and artichoke dip. Only a few veggie options. It is rather loud and the chairs are wood with no padding.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. Some was good (stuffed poblano, linguine with citrus sauce), some was not (buttermilk chicken breast). Pecan crusted brie and strawberry fields salad were excellent. Place was about half full, but food service for four took over an hour. Will probably try one more time but not when we are hungry.

Five stars all around. We were a large party celebrating birthdays. Table location was good for accommodating disabled family member. Our server expertly handled everything. Food was plentiful and delicious. Will return soon?

We stopped by Texas Bistro for dinner on a recent Saturday after concluding some business in town.  The restaurant is a small place, but very airy and cheerfully decorated.  The "Texas" theme is everywhere, and fun!  The restaurant had a crab cake special that evening, so we started there.  OMG!  What a huge plate of food.  Monster crab cakes, 99% crab, very little filler, on top of boiled/smashed/fried whole potatoes, on top of pureed zucchini.  Darn good!  Perfectly seasoned, served nice and hot!  Based on platers we saw being delivered to other tables, and our waitress recommendation, we tried the stuffed poblano pepper next ... Crazy Good!  The pepper is stuffed with potatoes, corn, zucchini and black beans, and we added shrimp.  Topped with melted cheese and sitting in a roasted jalapeno cream sauce, served over cilantro seasoned rice, the stuffed poblano is very worthy of its reputation as a crowd favorite.  They split the dish for us to share, no charge, which is always nice. We had a glass of white wine with dinner ... the wine list, while not exhaustive, has a decent variety of varietals, very reasonably priced.  We had a 5 star dinner at Texas Bistro, and will definitely stop again by when we're in the neighborhood.  Easily, one of the top restaurants in the New Braunfels, TX area!

The food at Texas Bistro is anything but traditional and that's the best part. Their take on a stuffed Poblano was phenomenal! I kept seeing the sign and after checking out the menu convinced my guy to go to dinner with me before a show. He was skeptical but we were both blown away with how great the food was. The atmosphere is like an art gallery! We enjoyed everything about our visit to the Bistro and can't wait to take family there in a few weeks when they are in town! If you enjoy unique food that is well prepared and plated beautifully this is the place to try. You won't be disappointed!

Daniel was the best bartender ever! He made us a special drink. We named it the Coconut Delight :) best service and food. I’m gluten free as well. And he was knowledgeable about the food and offered great recommendations on food options !

Absolutely a hidden gem. Service was great. Location is perfect right down road from my house. The food was delicious and filling. Perfect date night or just casual dining experience. If you're looking for a simple and small place this is it. I can highly recommend it. And will most definitely try it again. The decor and decorations are phenomenal.

Great little restaurant on east side of new Braunfels. Food was good and service was great. Try the tomatillo salsa and shiner cheese soup

Because this place should have a 5 star rating on google. The food has always been amazing, I mean it. I grew up in this town and only went a few months ago for the first time. We’ve been many times since. Now it’s the number one place I recommended to visitors. Drinks, also great, I take their recommendations as they’re good at what they do. Plan ahead with reservations because the food is great and they’ll definitely book up for the night fast. Haven’t been to happy hour yet but definitely on the list for after work
