The rooms are good sized and mostly clean (except for some hair on the bed and mouldy bottom of the shower curtain). I would have preferred buffet breakfast, but instead, you can order from the menu (a cooked breakfast with drink is about $20). The fitness room is fairly basic. The lounge is nice and the hotel staff is friendly. The hotel is next to a highway so it has easy access but is a bit noisy (it's not too bad in the room, actually the aircon is way noisier but it can be turned off). The bed is comfortable. There is an outdoor pool in the back yard of the hotel. Checkout before leaving the room for good is not possible. Access to the nearby restaurants and bars by foot is difficult, due to the neighboring highway. Plenty of parking space is available in front of the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location, literally 3-5 min from restaurants, fast food, Walmart, grocery store etc. Outside of hotel was kept up and grounds were very clean. Has a very beautiful and peaceful set up in the back of the hotel outside. Right on the Comal river with a nice sitting area with a huge nice stoned fire place. Their pool was very clean and kept up even during the cold season. Lobby was very nice inside, and their coffee bar was the best with serving Starbucks at it. Very friendly and prompt services with their staff. The room wasn’t as nice as the main lobby area. However, it was clean as far as I could tell. It was a little outdated, and a little musky when we entered the room, but other than that the room itself was fine and beds where comfortable. I wasn’t to impressed with their bathroom though. Wall paper was peeling off and hanging. They didn’t have all the hotel toiletries on the counter, there was no bar soap until the next day when they came to clean the room. The light in the bathroom was very dim and didn’t put off a lot of light in there. They only had two towels available in a double room. But other than that it was okay. The chairs on the balcony which is the river view rooms, were very dirty and old and the material was ripping so really didn’t get to sit on the patio. But, all that is really just cosmetic stuff and didn’t really affect me. However, there is one main thing that really did offend me and didn’t notice it until we were leaving or I would had said something sooner. The hotel did not have the American flag out and flying but had the Texas flag up and flying. I am very proud of my country and our flag. If you are going to fly the Texas flag then you need to fly the American flag and the American flag needs to fly higher then the Texas flag. If you can not or will not fly the American flag then you shouldn’t fly the Texas flag. (Meaning if you don’t or can’t fly both then don’t fly any.) these two flags should always be flown together. Like I said I am a proud American and I am a proud Texan and I found it very disrespectful to our country that only the Texas flag was flying and for that reason I will not stay here again until I see either both flags or none.

I wasn't planning on writing a bad review but I wanted to share our experience. We checked in on Saturday evening to spend a couple of days relaxing. When we checked in Cynthia was working the front desk and no I didn't get her name off her name tag because she was wearing a t-shirt wasn't sure if she even worked there. We stood for over 10 minutes waiting for her to check us in which is understandable due to the fact she was on the phone. Once she was off the phone she asked us what brings us to the Marriott? I found the question strange but not completely out of the norm. We engaged in small talk until we had trouble with the credit card we were using because my fiance had fraud protection on it. I told her the card was declined and we were going to use another card. She shrugged her shoulders at me and said nothing. So I again said we inserted a new card and the screen is blank is there something you need to do on your end? She said nothing... I was getting frustrated, at this point we had been standing there for over 20 mins and getting no where. Then she made some comment that it wasn't her problem.. I was beside myself at this point. We finally finished checking in she handed us our room keys and said nothing. NOT A WORD !! like have a nice stay the elevators are to your left.. NOTHING!! I went back in and asked her her name and her supervisor name, she actually acknowledge me, but made no eye contact. We went to dinner and she was standing with another employee staring and us not once but three different occasions. Then we called down to ask what time to the pool closed it was 9:30pm she said it was closed and I said well can you tell me the time it closes so we will know for tomorrow and she said it closes at 10:00pm I said I thought you said its closed and she rudely replied back 10!!!!!! The problem I have here is we paid over 1,000 for 2 nights to get away from a stressful week of work and was met with the rudest Guest service I think I've ever encountered. The hotel was pretty and the rest of the hotel guest were very kind. There was no need for her to behave like that. I also called and left a message with the GM Daniel, and never heard back!! Thanks but will not be back!!

We did not stay here (too expensive) however my sister and her family did and for them they had a great military discount (Thank you Marriott). We visited with her in the lobby which was wonderful! They we walked down to the river and watched the ducks and people paddle by. Beautiful location

This property is beautiful!! Everyone was friendly & helpful. My only complaint is that we reserved a King balcony with a river view, and that over sold so we ended up with 2 queens. Oh well, we still had a great time.

The young lady at the front desk was very rude, the halls on the way to our room were dirty and our room didn't appear to be clean. However the deciding factor that caused us to choose another hotel, was the extreme rudeness of the young lady at the front desk on second shift.

Such a beautiful oasis of a gem tucked away just off I35 in New Braunfels. The grounds are so serene. The pool area is perfect, and the river is just a few feet away. Two Ducks walk the property, and the huge lush trees are gorgeous. At 4 a.m., I walked to the river. On my peaceful walk, I came across Pattercake, the ever so friendly cat. What a treat. She was so friendly and loved her belly rubbed. I had the best time, relaxing their. I will definitely return. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were nice.

The front desk staff was fantastic, as we're all the staff. Had an issue with house keeping not cleaning our room one day. The head of house keeping came to speak with us and was apologize for her staff. We appreciated her talking with us and made sure our room was cleaned above and beyond what we ever expected. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.

For a $200/ night hotel, I expected more. The good things: Received a pool / river view room away from elevator as requested. Received a complimentary breakfast from bistro due to breakfast was posted online as included, but actually wasn't. Weekend manager comped us a breakfast; however, on Monday morning, the regular manager questioned this, asking us why we received this? Weird question. The property is nice. It is riverfront, but you can't actually float anywhere because all of the properties beyond it are private property, and there aren't any public river exits beyond the hotel, so the best you can do is to tie off and float. Cons: Small pool and hot tub that seem to stay crowded with kids that are unruly, using foul language, squirt guns, throwing water with cups, diving, splashing water on everyone, screaming, and running on the pool deck well past 9pm, and such that no adults can enjoy the pool at night. I did report this to the managers on duty at the time, but they never even came to see what was going on, which was very disappointing. I feel like the hotel should close the pool and hot tub to kids under 18 after 8pm so adults can use it until 10pm. Another disappointment was that there were lobby signs indicating that the hotel would serve special drinks and have additional grill options outside for the 4th of July, as they do have an outdoor serving area. Later, the manager said they changed the grill specials to be at the Bistro because the outdoor grill was in " bad shape ". When we called down to the bistro on the 4th for the bistro specials, we were told there weren't any; Nor was there any live music or drink specials as advertised. Surely the Marriott can afford to upgrade a broken grill and make sure to have staff available for the special events advertised to their guests. How disappointing and utterly ridiculous!!! We also requested maid service daily, but never received it once during our stay, and had to raid the maid cart several times just to get our room restocked with towels, toilet paper, and coffee. I even spoke directly to the maid on our hall, requesting our room cleaned that day. She stated that yes, she would, but upon our return from the river 4 hrs later, she was gone, and we had to call down to get fresh towels, which were " Still in the dryer and not available. " and toilet paper. After a 2nd call, the front desk did eventually deliver them. Overall, it's a beautiful property, there are some nice people working there, food from the bistro is good and convenient. Beds are comfortable and location is nice. For the price, I would have expected better housekeeping services, and better and more responsive management to issues involving amenities and guest services. I would likely look for an adult only property next time. It is hard to relax when the property is overrun with ill behaved kids, and managers do absolutely nothing when guests complain.

Adriana and her team at the front desk were delightful. The room was clean and kept clean. Our daughter named the cat 🐈 off the back of the hotel Uno. I highly recommend this resort!

We had our annual state Combat Vets Motorcycle Association conference there. We had numerous chapters come from all over the state of Texas and surround states so there was more than enough room. The liason and staff was more than accommodating and everywhere you went there was plenty of space, plugins for chargers, a band area picnic tables and even spots down by the river. It's a beautiful place for a meeting, wedding or any event with plenty of parking for any vehicle. Only down side was trying to get out was kinda difficult with traffic exiting so quickly. Use caution there.

Great hotel in a great location. Close to shopping, downtown and the river. The back pool and river area is very nice along with a large patio overlooking it all. Nicer than a lot of courtyards I have stayed at.

Very friendly staff. I loved our room with the balcony looking out over the pool. Outdoor area is really nice. My only negative comment would be EV charging. The hotel should really try to enforce that fueled vehicles not park in charging spots.

We used the Marriott Courtyard in New Braunfels to house my son and daughter-in-law's wedding guests a couple of weeks ago. The hotel was clean, rooms were comfortable, service was great and everyone in our group enjoyed their stay. We had a small billing issue but the hotel staff more than made up for that error. I highly recommend this property if you have an event in New Braunfels or just for a weekend stay.

I rarely leave negative feedback in reviews, this however is extremely troubling. This hotel placed 2 holds for $250 on my bank account for a 1 night stay. The room itself was an additional charge of $233. When I tried to explain this to the front desk staff she was extremely irritated and kept trying to iterate the hotel deposit policy as if that was the problem. They have NO signage in regard to the actual deposit amounts no dollar amount posted ANYWHERE. They simply ask for your card just like any other hotel. I have almost $750 out of my account for a 1 night stay in a 3 star hotel. It makes no sense, although the deposit will be returned it is something we should be informed of PRIOR to check in. I am sure the double hold is accidental, and if i am correct there I should have been made aware immediately of their error and for goodness sake apologized to. The obnoxious deposit amount for a non luxury hotel is ridiculous however. $50-$150 is standard. Informing your clients with transparency when it comes to definitives, LIKE MONEY, is not only good business, it is the only way I will do business at all. I will not recommend this hotel to my company again and regret having believed it would be up to standard.

Some friends of ours stayed here, we hung out with them at the pool and down at the river. This place has a great spot that backs up to the river with beach access, picnic tables, dock etc. Great pool as well and a separate outdoor bar. The rooms are very nice as well, we had a great time here.

The room was very comfortable! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. She allowed us to switch from a standard room to a river-view room at no extra charge. The pool area was beautiful and the river access was easy to find. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in New Braunfels.

Excellent from the moment we checked in. Brittany was at the desk very kind and helpful. We were there for wedding weekend and had several family members staying. Each day she always had a smile and mad you glad to be there.

Staff was amazing and really went out of their way to assist in any way. My room on the other hand was not good; stuffing coming out of the couch cushions in multiple places. the shower had mildew stains and soap scum on the glass.

Had a great stay during the Labor Day weekend. The staff was super friendly and accommodating even with two wedding parties at the hotel they were always attentive. Absolutely amazing location on the River so if your worried about it being right off the interstate don’t be. Once inside you have great accommodations with a large are out back for activity. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in the are for a concert or tubing the river.

Associate Lauren working at the front desk was very knowledgeable and professional. Went above and beyond to help and accommodate our needs. Would definitely come back because of her. Hotel was very nice and clean. Great location for fun and views. Also has security at night. His name is Paul, he was also very professional and courteous and made us feel safe parking our vehicles out front.

I just checked in, and let me tell you the check in process was the most enjoyable one I’ve ever had. Brandi at the front desk is an amazing concierge. You can’t buy that kind of customer service, you can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does and she makes this hotel great from the start. The room is super nice with a view of the river, immediately felt welcomed in like I was family due to miss Brandi’s kindness. She even went the extra mile to check if there was enough room in the lot to accommodate an 18 wheeler. Somebody from corporate give that woman a raise. She deserves that and a nice bonus. Awesome place to go!

This Courtyard is TOP NOTCH! One of the best we’ve stayed in, so close and convenient to so many wonderful attractions. Clean, welcoming and a wonderful cafe and coffee shop that gets it right. Everyone that worked there was amazing and Brandy really stood out with her kind demeanor, stress free multitasking abilities, wonderful customer service and overall nice vibes. Every evening, she had a line almost out the door or people checking in, requests and questions from visitors. She handled them kindly and set great expectations. We’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never felt more welcome or valued as a guest here. The customer service blew us away! Highly recommend.

The location is a convenient getaway to the water but offers a great pool for those not wanting the river crowd. Starbucks in the lobby!!! The outside pool/yard area is a fantastic escape and has ample shade for hot days. The only thing missing is an outside bar.

Brought a school group to stay two nights. RANDI SHAW guided us through the whole process and got us a great rate! Hotel was clean, beautiful property, breakfast options were amazing! Can't wait to come again next year!!

Staff was great, room was beautiful, probably one of the best locations I've stayed at as far as the physical location. Only complaint was lack of being able to use the amenities like bar and restaurant due to not having the staff. We paid more to stay at a place with bar/restaurant on site so we wouldn't have to leave; that was literally the whole point, only to be told they didn't have the staff to operate either one during the normal hours.

Hey gang, love this place. Crazy clean, lots of amenities. Good bar. Starbucks inside. The evening manager Morgan just handed us 4 waters for the room for free. What a sweetheart. This is your place. BTW. Do not eat at Los Cucos in New Braunfels. It's a 1 star at best

  • 4/5 Karen H. 2 years ago on Google
I would have given them a five star review, but we had issues with the chain inside of the toilet tanks in both rooms that our party stayed in. We were able to fix both toilets on our own, but I don't want to have to do that when I rent a room. Otherwise, this hotel is great! The location is perfect, the ground and the view is idyllic, and the front desk staff, especially Stephanie, are unfailingly helpful, gracious, and very welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay! We had a corner room overlooking the river which was such a treat! Stephanie at the front desk is amazing. She helped me with the EV charger outside to make sure my car would be fully charged overnight. Thanks again!
