DO NOT STAY HERE. I am someone who reads reviews before I book a hotel and was floored that this hotel has any good reviews. Our room was horrible! Stains on the bed sheets. Furniture was dirty and chipped. Bathroom was disgusting! I would really appreciate a refund, discount, anything to make up for our horrible experience here...

Have had quite a few issues but Angel at the front desk is mostly the reason Iā€™ve stayed. Sheā€™s helped me in every way possible to make my stay work best for me! UPDATE: I mentioned above that I have had many issues. 1. This is the second week I've requested my room to be "lightly cleaned" as is customary with extended stay (weekly light cleaning) and it has not been done. I have even removed my "Catch me Later" sign as a testā€¦ they didnā€™t clean it till the third week. 2. The housekeeping claims that they clean rooms, but do not. I attempted to change rooms and I went to another one and there was jelly on the furniture or something like jelly. There were half drank water bottles on the floor with condensation built up on the inside of the bottle. But hey, the toilet paper was folded all nice. Fortunately, Angel was working and was able to retain my old room. 3. Maintenance also claims they fix issues, but low and behold, Angel put some tasks on the maintenance clipboard that was signed off the next day and nothing was done in my room. 4. The front desk associate named Randy is more or less a really hard person to deal with, to put it lightly. He falls asleep on shift, is typically rude, and I avoid him. 5. There have been roaches in my room on 2 occasions and this morning, on my way to my room on floor 3, there was a roach on the ceiling. I snapped a photo and put it on the site here for the review. I could go on but the point is that this has been the worst hotel experience and I would not wish anyone to deal with it. I put the nicer review above to give Angel the credit she deserves, but I've had enough at this point. Please avoid at all costs.

Everything was great at check-in went great, personnel was pleasant and all seemed good. Woke up the next morning took a shower and when walking out noticed a roach on the door seal then started looking around there were more on the sink and several running around on the desk. Went to front desk and only offer was a different room. No discount for the inconvenience it causes for hanging to clean everything and pack up and find another hotel and not able to check in till 2.

Everything was dirty, windows were taped up, terrible rooms. The hallway had spilled popcorn for 2 days and no one cared to clean it. 7 day stay and they donā€™t offer housekeeping for that long of a visit, you even have to go down to exchange towels because they wonā€™t bring you any. Trashy overall. I left after the 2nd night because it was just too gross. Blood on the ripped up mattress cover, they gave 1 decaf coffee and a bag of popcorn?? Weird stains all over and gum on the floor! COME ON, worst IHG property.

Rooms sufficient for an extended stay- full size refrigerator. Good set up for work - however, Wi-Fi and cell service was not good in my room. I was there for an almost two weeks - they only did housekeeping once a week. Nice gym and good guest laundry. Overall good experience- would recommend if extended stay needed on a budget.

The employees were all very friendly and helpful. I got a special group rate for 8 nights so it was a good value for me. The room was nice and I liked the kitchenette as it saved me money and was very convenient. My there was good and I recommend it.

Service here was outstanding. The young lady at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. I had to change the dates of my stay and she was very accommodating made the family trip a breeze!

Hotel room was very clean and neat. We had everything we needed for our stay in the room. Our room was very nice and comfy plus it was very quiet when we were in the room and getting ready for bed. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were very close to all the places we planned to visit.

Good if your looking for a studio. Not really for leisure but for work. No pool or anything like that. Over all if you kind of want your own apartment it is a good choice. Staff were great.

I loved the location and the room! Everything of a sizable efficiency apartment! Coffee maker, stove top, full size microwave, large office desk, DVD player and flat-screen TV. The shower was great, hot water, very spacious. Walk in closet w laundry basket. The washer/ dryer are super capacity and free! Great inside market to keep you feed and supplied w o having to run into Wal-Mart too. The hosts are fun and friendly and I will totally be back!

Staff was very friendly. Hotel overall was clean. The rooms could use so upgrading. As appearance wise there were chips in the furniture stains on the lamp in the room, sink faucet was def not secure had to be very gentle. remote worked but need a power grip, and found a gas ex pill on the floor in the room disposed on in the toilet. AC took a very long time to cool. Woke up hot in the middle of the night with it set on 65 degrees. Had to self service for new towels ā€œexchange method ā€œ had to ask for a trash bag from front desk to collect dirty, bring them to the desk to get new. Felt safe. Bed were clean and housekeeping was out everyday and were friendly as well. Not the worst place weā€™ve been but not the best .

What a great experience! We stayed for about one week when we had recently moved into NB and our apartment was not yet ready. The staff was super welcoming despite our late arrival and once the check in person realized we would need to be in and out to walk our pup, she gave us a room on the first floor at the end of the corridor to be near the side entrance for quick ins and outs. Super thoughtful, customer focused - human AND dog!! Great suggestions for local eateries. Spacious room for three adults and one 12 pound dog to find comfort. I would highly recommend. I have to knock off one star because of the tight parking situation, but it might also have been that we arrived at the beginning of tourist season.

OK so the hotel is nice enough but letā€™s air some dirty laundry. Every day this week I have gotten a text message asking me review this hotel. There is no option to stop receiving these text messages. So I follow the link and click the dissatisfied button, the link does not redirect me to a place that will allow me to review the hotel. Hereā€™s the kicker - if I got back a page and press the satisfied button it links me to leave a google review. Weird way to filter out your bad reviews IHG. Real weird. Stop sending me text messages. Edit: Room service was great and laundry is free. Received another text today from the same automated service and blocked the number. I was upset about these text messages but they shouldnā€™t reflect on the staff.

It was decent. It needs some maintenance. All of the doors to rooms need something to slow them down to keep from slamming. That woke me up several times. They do allow pets because anytime someone walked down the hall, the dog 2 doors down barked for a bit. No pool or continental breakfast. Very weird that there were alot of smokers. Anytime you entered or left the building, there was someone smoking who's smoke you had to walk through. Turned ice maker on in freezer and 24 hours later had 8 pieces of ice. Needs better ventilation. Someone burned food and you could smell it everywhere downstairs. Fans in bathroom don't do anything for the moisture.

Very nice hotel. However, I was not happy with the room servicing. Have been here a week, planning to stay for another 2 months. The room hasnā€™t been cleaned since I arrived. I was told that if I ran out of towels to bring them to the front desk and they would be replaced. Nothing was said about trash removal so I guess it is to be left in the hallway. Bed has not been made nor the sheets changed. Seems like there should be better communication about the services. Other than that it is a place to stay.

One star is alot then what i want to rate. I booked a room 2 months in advance but then i had to cancel due to covid. So I canceled like a wk before the date and to this date the manager has not contacted me back to get a refund. I booked thru Booking.com and they cant get a hold of the manager. Itā€™s nonsense!! 2 months have passed and still havenā€™t heard from the manager!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had everything I forgot at home. Rooms were fine. Good water pressure šŸ˜‚. I would stay again, 10 min driver to schlitterbahn

The person at the front desk did not greet me. The first room smelled BAD and ants were all over the counter. When I went back up front he acted like he did not care. He said he did not have another room that was what I requested. I had to ask to be moved or upgraded. Then told me not to us the bathroom in the first room before I left and went to the 2nd room. The 2nd room was better but floor in the bathroom was dirty, the refrigerator would not make ice or keep things cold. There was a box of leftover food in the refrigerator.

Stayed a week there in New Braunfels. Hotels in the Summer there can get super expensive (due to the water park), so this place was reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable, but there was no bath towel when I arrived. I used a hand towel to dry off after my first shower and then went to the front desk to let them know about the lack of bath towel. The front desk clerk ā€œinterrogatedā€ me as to how I dried off earlier if there was no towel. He acted as if I was trying to steal one of their towels. He finally relented and gave me a fresh set of towels. I was told I would have my room made up one time during my week stay (midweek on a Wednesday, but that never happened). After a whole week with no maid service, my trash was overflowing the can and was piled up on the counter (fortunately I had saved bags to keep it bundled together). This place is nothing special, but for $100 a night in the summer in New Braunfels, it was (barely) worth it.

We were visiting TX between 3/24-4/4. Our reservation was paid through hotel.com. We arrived at 1am on 3/25/2022. The first room assigned to us was infested with roaches. We went back to the front desk and they assigned us another room. For the following 2 days, we were not at the hotel. We were at the hospital when our son was born. When we returned to the hotel with our son, it was fine for the first day or so. Then I noticed bite marks on my legs and my 3 day old newborn! That's when I realized there were fleas in the room!! We voiced our concerns to the front desk again. They first blamed us for having a dog in the room, and we DID NOT. We were visiting from Maryland and did not have any animals with us. There were guests with dogs in the hotel. Since this reservation was made through hotel.com, Candlewood did not refund or compensate us. We were stuck and they moved us again. While we were moving between rooms, the employee asked to see what was in the baby carrier. She did not believe we had a baby with us! We have stayed at other Candlewood hotels without any issues previously, but this was the worst experience.
