My husband and I recently returned from staying at this hotel. We actually had a great time and there are no complaints on the actual room or hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Upon checking out, I left several clothing items in the closet which I completely forgot to check. I called the day after when I realized I had left them, to speak with someone and I talked with Christian, the on-site mgr. I described the items and he said he would check lost & found. He came back on and said he didn't see them. I told him I knew I left the items in the closet and asked for him to check and see who cleaned the room. He told me, "we have no evidence you left items and they are not in the lost & found. I'm not wanting to get anyone in trouble but I am wanting my things back!!! He put forth zero effort in trying to help.

Centrally located very clean property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were in great shape and well laid out. I like how the bathroom had a short wall between the sink top and the commode. Lobby was well appointed and clean too. The parking lot is well lit.

I stayed on the 4th floor and the room I got was big. The hotel was clean. The front desk team was friendly. They always greeted me when I passed by. Perfect location off I-35 to get to the nearby points of interest: New Braunfels, Gruene, Wilmberley, etc.

I spent last weekend at the Holiday Inn and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel lived up to its reputation, offering clean rooms, prompt service, and all the amenities one would expect. The staff were friendly and ensured a comfortable stay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodation without any fuss. Great value for money!

The property is great. It is up to the IHG standards I would expect. I would give the review 5 stars except for my interaction with the GM Roberto Garcia. This individual has zero (0) personality. He is supercilious, superior acting in conversation and body language, pompous and condescending. While checking in I listened to Mr. Garcia talk to someone on the phone like he was lecturing a child. I also watched him convey hotel information to another guest in a curt and dismissive manner. My attempt at conversation was a disaster. This guy is bad news. He is not doing your brand any favors. I see that you have a few options; 1. Terminate this person. 2. Send him to a reeducation camp (charm school) for retraining in basic respect for customers. 3. Keep him in a back room away from paying customers. After reading the reviews from others, it is apparent that this is not a one off incident. You people have an issue. I find it odd that no one addressed the issues and concerns of the previous negative reviews, at least on this forum. They cleaned our room every day which is a rarity these days…lol (we did request that) staff very friendly and helpful, even the breakfast staff. Great free breakfast selection. Easy access to everything. Clean and quiet gym.

This 5 star goes to Megan, the front desk clerk (3 to 11 shift)! Omg, she literally is what customer service dreams are made of! She always had a friendly smile and super great attitude. People that work in the public eye need to learn from this young lady. The room was nice, comfy bed and clean. Wish the water pressure was more but not gonna complain.

We paid over $200 a night and it was not worth it. The rooms were not cleaned even after asking them to be re cleaned. Food on the floor, hair and toothpaste on the mirror, orange stuff and junk in the bathtub. It was so gross. The pool was disgustedly dirty, couldn’t even swim and no lounge chairs. I wouldn’t recommended. They offered a $30 refund but that wasn’t even close. Stay at one of the other nearby hotels. This place had many complaints and even people leaving early. The staff was kind but accommodations were sub par at most

When traveling to New Braunfels this is THE place to stay. The rooms were impeccably clean and updated with modern amenities. The bathrooms were large and brightly lit. The bathroom does not include a tub but does offer a VERY large stand up shower with Dove shampoo and soap products. One excellent feature was the black out window shades, this kept the room cool and dark for sleeping in. Checkout is at noon and the complementary breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was knowledgeable about the area and offered free cookies and lemonade. Will definitely make this hotel my go to spot for river trips in the future!

Staff was nice, helpful, and friendly! Very clean! A lot of restaurants and stores near by. Pool was always very clean! The breakfast buffet had great food also very clean! I loved the gym it had quite a lot of equipment. Kid friendly, I only say this because I know some hotels are mean and or strict about children. Never got a complaint or ugly stares(not saying my kids are bad but they do laugh/play like every other kid).

My family and I stayed here last week for my sisters wedding and the hotel was amazing ! The rooms were updated and very comfortable the breakfast was super good. The front desk girl Cassie was so welcoming, she gave us suggestions for local bars and restaurants and helped us with directions a couple times she is such a sweet heart she made us feel like family. We will continue to stay here for our future stays, other local holiday inns we have been too are super rude.

Most frustrating part of staying at this hotel is that the front desk wouldn’t let anyone check in until exactly 3 PM. Reason given was that housekeeping hadn’t finished cleaning any of the rooms yet. So apparently at exactly 3PM all of the rooms were miraculously cleaned at the exact same time and they finally started letting people check in. Lobby was full of people all trying to check in at the same time and was chaos. My wife had to change clothes in the bathroom as we were made late trying to get to a wedding. The front desk girls checking people in seemed sweet and accommodating, but appeared to just be following orders given to them by their manager. Room was good except for the AC which was extremely loud. This is the first review I’ve ever taken the time to leave, but felt it was necessary. Holiday inn management, you can do better.

The rooms were clean and service was great! The only issue was we booked a room for 7 of us and it really didn't fit the 7 of us. My daughter had to sleep on a chair. They should've given us a rollaway bed.

Whoever did our room deserves some real recognition for going above and beyond with decorating. Just look at how well done these bow ties and swans are out of simply towels. I’ve never seen a hotel with this before. What a delightful addition.

Checked in later in the evening and there was no parking. The hotel is surrounded by grassy area and shares a parking lot with another hotel, so there is not enough space for all guests to park. Check-in was fine, the young lady at the desk was friendly. Got up to our room to discover that only one of the USB plugs worked and there were more USBs than regular outlets. We did not have enough plugs or blocks, so we had to constantly rotate devices between 4 people to keep everything from dying (this included toothbrushes). The shower had 2 heads but one drizzled out freezing cold water and could not be adjusted and the other had extremely low pressure. The towel racks were falling off the walls. The next morning I attempted to discuss this with the front desk where a young woman with no name tag, long dark hair, and a pink sweater could not have cared less. She actually seemed irritated that I asked to move rooms and replied they were booked up. She asked if I was a member of the Holiday Inn rewards program and I said no, so she said there was nothing she could do for me. I requested the manager and was told she was not there but would reach out to me when she got in. I asked the manager's name and was hesitantly told" Marissa". I never heard from Marissa... and I'm not at all surprised. Awful experience, even worse service... NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Good - room overall seemed mainly clean. Breakfast had a lot of choices and everything to include nice bags to take on the road. The best at a holiday inn I’ve seen. Rather quiet. Front desk was training, yet still friendly (the night guy didn’t seem overly engaged with his hunting jacket on), parking ample. Gym size and amount of equipment is best I’ve seen at a HIE. Love the ac can run fan constant - great white noise. Bad - No soap in bathroom. One bath towel. No water or towels in gym - big bummer. The water pressure from the sink is horrendous. Missing do not disturb sign. Plenty of long hairs (not mine) all over bathroom upon entry. I wish their were extra pillow kept in the closet, always a nice touch.
