The Pantry at Gruene Mansion Inn: I stopped by for a light breakfast Sunday morning in October. Weather was perfect for sitting outside under their pavilion (behind the inn). This is my first time at this establishment, and I found the atmosphere to be relaxing. I ordered my breakfast from the Inn counter (inside directly adjacent to the quaint little kitchen). They offered indoor or outdoor seating. The pavilion out back offers a perfect side view of Gruene Hall and the Grist Mill. Coffee, water and breakfast came quick. Enjoyed listening to the birds, watching people and the fluffy egg soufflé sandwich hit the spot. I’ll come back. They said they serve from 8-11 every day. Only item I would have liked was when the person taking my order … they could have asked if I would like the optional bacon…I would have said yes.

Wonderful place to stay in New Braunfels. It is right next door to Gruene Hall & The Gristmill - yet it is very quiet. We stayed in room by river and it was lovely. It had a private patio to relax on. We ate at Gristmill (our favorite) & had a drink while listening to live music at Gruene Hall. My husband and I were surprised that we could not hear music from hall. Additionally, staff are very accommodating, friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again & we highly recommend it

If you love botique shops, good food, good music, country living and river rafting, this place is fantastic!! We like coming back each year. I highly recommend this location as everything is in walking distance and select a place over looking the river!!! 5 stars on everything.

Fantastic location in the heart of Gruene! The ambience in the morning, day, and evening was fantastic. The rooms were cute, vintage, clean. You can evening feel the history of the inn. Easy to walk to many restaurants in the area. Customer service was great! We found a new favorite lodging place!

We booked 2 rooms for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. From the point of booking to the checkout, it was a great stay. Staff is polite and attentive. The rooms are unique and well kept. The quaint cafe was a pleasant surprise and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. The location was also perfect. We were able to stroll to everywhere from our front door. We will most certainly be back. Thank you.

Amazing customer service!!! Upon arrival for my Birthday weekend we had Champagne in the fridge, fresh beautiful berries and OJ for mimosas. On the bed was a beautiful cupcake & card. The fresh ground coffee is divine. Breakfast from the pantry was delicious. Thank you for making our adult time away wonderful. Bertha’s room is a special place for us. We can’t wait to walk over to see Kevin Folwer tonight.

Spent another fantastic weekend with my bride in Gruene! This makes 7 years in a row! We love staying at the Gruene Mansion Inn. Each room is unique and comfy. We have not stayed in the same room twice yet. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast options they have are very good incuding many homemade options! We love the blueberry scones! Since the property overlooks the Guadelupe River and is literally next door to Gruene Hall/Gristmill Restaurant, you cannot find a better spot!! We will be back for many years to come!

Can not say enough about this Inn. Location can not be better - right in between Gruene Hall and my favorite restaurant, Gruene River Grill. Room was stunning and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will return for sure.

I booked a room at the Gruene Mansion Inn while in town for my brother’s wedding. It is going on the list as one of my favorite places I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. I was in the main house in Bertha’s Bedroom. Everything about the room was charming and cozy! We loved the big wrap around balcony that provided great views of Gruene and how we were within walking distance to great restaurants and live music. I was in love with every little detail and will absolutely be back.

Most of our experience was 5 star, but I had to deduct a star for the dangerously narrow, shaky and unlit spiral staircase that we had to use to get to the bedroom. The bathtub/shower was also probably our least favorite of all our travels. On the positive side, the staff was great and the location can't be beat!

The service was great and the location was amazing...as for our room (one of the Sunday Haus) I would not recommend anyone over the age of 40 stay there...the bed is up a spiral staircase and the bathroom is on the ground floor...my husband fell a couple of times in the middle of the night...and the shower is my least favorite EVER. This room was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Also we were just next to the live music, which might be great for some, but it was not great for sleep.

We loved everything about staying at the Gruene Mansion Inn. It was the most charming place to stay for a romantic weekend. Everywhere you looked was beautiful. The location was perfect - we were able to walk everywhere. It was a wonderful experience!

We stayed in the Guest Haus for two nights. From the moment we arrived, management was in touch to see if we required anything which we certainly did not. Everything was thought of, including a makeup mirror and proper lighting for making up (the ladies understand the importance of this). There were wine glasses and an opener for our use and thoughtfully provided full bottles of wine we could purchase. The bed was magnificent, so comfy. I don't care for soft pillows but that was the only thing (thinking about it, if I had asked for firmer pillows, I probably would have gotten them!). Our view from our porch of the Guadalupe river was so lovely, especially at sunrise and sunset. We had no noise complaints, though we did stay on a Monday and Tuesday night so..... We used the Pantry for breakfast one morning. We ordered it on a link sent that morning by management and then strolled over to pick it up and return to eat a delicious breakfast on our porch. The location is convenient to walk everywhere. We just parked and never got in the truck until it was time to go. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Sad to say that 2 nights with out sleep is what I paid for. Trash haulers and a vacuum service for a restaurant made my stay unbearable. Since they have morphed from a BnB it is not as a good value. Yes the location is good, but when you reduce amenities and not the price, better places can be found!

Always warm and inviting. The hosts/staff and cooks are top notch and should set the bar for the industry. I have been taking my kids to stay at a little cabin behind the mansion for the last 16+ years, we returned to stay briefly this Christmas season departing on Christmas Eve. Over the years they have managed to take such wonderful care of the property and maintained its historic integrity while also adding features of comfort like the outdoor patio with a fire place to eat next to. The details of the decor, cleanliness, amazing food, and kindness of those you will come to meet us second to none. Thank you for being a great part of my kids childhood memories and for continuing to do amazing things in a time so many find it easy to do less.

Pictures don't do this place justice. The proximity to entertainment is amazing and the rooms are great. I just wish the stairs were a little easier to navigate. Overall amazing property!

A fantastic, beautiful and historic location. The staff are helpfull and really nice, the food is great and could not get enough of the pecan coffee. The rooms are spacious, charming and really nice. The only place to stay, if you want to experience Gruene!

The front desk took my call at the last minute and had an opening when my wife and I had another reservation another town, but we got overbooked. Call it divine intervention! We stayed in the lodge by the river, the room was nothing short of amazing and the staff were overly communicative and accommodating. We had the best time and created a memory that will last a lifetime. I can’t believe live right down the road in Canyon Lake and haven’t had more date night getaways to this gem. GMI will be out new local getaway, highly highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff that made that night possible!

Nice clean hotel to stay in. Staff was friendly and they have a little store. Very unique. Everyone has their own area. The parking is easier on their property. Harder on the weekend. The town is a tourist area. They have a hall for weddings and such like that. The restaurants are a bit pricey.

Looks beautiful. Didn't get to go in nor visit their other properties. We will be considered booking with them because they are perfectly located close to everything we enjoy. Customer service on phone excellent, thank you April.

We have stayed here several times. Great place and location. They need to bring back the traditional cook to order breakfast.

I wish you could actually stay in the mansion but it is historic and well- preserved. The cabins are pricey, but very nice; rustic. ♿️ friendly options. However, be prepared for a bumpy ride around Gruene. Not many stores are accessible, and most have gravel or uneven bricks around them.

The front staff were amazingly gracious and kind. They had great communication and were accommodating to the max! The room was gorgeous and well kept. The location is prime because you are walking distance to SO many things.. dinner, dancing, live music, shopping and more! Perfect getaway for any occasion.

My sister and I stayed here for a girls get away weekend. Gruene was packed with tourists but we were able to take a break from the crowds on our lovely outdoor patio and seating areas around the Mansion. Our room was cool, comfortable, roomy and a pleasure to stay in. As much as we enjoyed our room, the grounds and the convenience of being able to walk everywhere, the staff pushed our stay over the top. The front desk was friendly and helpful, housekeeping prompt and efficient and the breakfast staff was wonderful and welcoming. There is absolutely no reason to stay at any other place in Gruene Texas. What a great trip due to staff, cleanliness of the grounds and room and sense the Staff really was happy we were staying at Gruene Mansion.
