The best music venue I have ever been to. Comfortable seats, a/c, full bar with snacks. There is not a bad seat in the house. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lights and sound system & acoustics is incredible. Beautiful restoration of an old downtown theater.

A fantastic intimate theater, with great acoustics. We saw Crystal Gayle in a great show. Other events here that we've loved include Richard Marx, Judy Collins, and ANN: The Ann Richards Play. Consistently good programming, great pricing, and free parking nearby in a beautiful downtown with fun restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended!

What a cool venue!!! It’s small enough to be intimate yet big enough to have room. The friendliest staff and the sound was great. Definitely worth a visit.

The theatre is really nice. I hadn't been since the remodel and was impressed. Clean, comfy seats, good sound system, nice lobby. We went to see Q: The Music of Queen but what we got was several Queen songs and then a bunch from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, U2, Elton John, the Beatles, etc. The band was very talented, and we enjoyed most, though not all, of the non-Queen songs, but that wasn't what we bought tickets for. We expected a Queen tribute concert and it wasn't.

Tuna Christmas not what we expected! Christmas program and vulgarity do not go together! Not our kind of humor either! Have always enjoyed the performances at Brauntex but this one is not worth seeing! Nine of us left at intermission.

I only recently became aware of this place, and I'm really enjoying it. It's close to an hour away from Austin. The staff are are all very friendly and helpful. I've been to 3 performances in 2 weeks, all revues. The theatre is very unusual, and similar to the Paramount in Austin. Not as old, not as big, but worth the drive. Prices are reasonable. We're always looking for new venues, especially since One World Theatre in West Austin is gone. Brauntex is one I'm looking forward to visiting again and again.

Artists, if you have an opportunity to play here, I highly recommend it. The staff is so generous and kind and accommodating, the venue is beautiful, and the crowd was fantastic.

Adorable small town theatre with friendly workers during the nutcracker ballet. Only down side is the balcony seating isn't steep enough for every seat to be able to clearly see without leaning sideways because other's heads blocked the stage view.

Went to this venue to see Richard Marx. It was my first time there and we drove from Austin. I really enjoyed my experience the theater felt very intimate. There were plenty of staff / volunteers and they were all super helpful. Even before arriving at the venue Robin, in the box office, was extremely helpful in sorting out a seating issue. I would definitely return to this venue.

My daughter got us tickets to go see Jose Sarduey this past Friday night at the Braunfels Theater & we were lucky to get two last minute tickets for my in-laws to come with us! We were all excited to get the chance to see our most favorite comedian Jose Sarduey! The ladies in the box office were super nice & very helpful to get us 4 seats together! All the staff were really nice and I was incredibly impressed with the theater! Very nicely decorated & had comfy seats. I have never been in a theater that used black lights to dim the theater with so I know I was the brightest glow stick in the balcony in my neon green shirt! We stuck around to meet Jose after the show & my father-in-law ended up jumping in as acting photographer for everyone in line that wanted to meet the comedian. We were the last to get our pictures with Jose Sarduey & got to visit with him for a quick minute. My father-in-law gave him a Challenge Coin & he was really appreciative. Idk what this challenge coin is about but apparently it is something important & rare to receive. We enjoyed the show & hope to see him again & are looking forward to returning to the theater if another fun comedian gets booked! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Great small venue to see one of my all time favorite bands, Pure Prairie League. The sound was great, the setting was intimate, and the band-audience interactions made the show. We are looking forward to our next concert here.

Beautifully restored movie house with great acousics for live performances. We saw Judy Collins last night. Fabulous experience. We live about ninety minutes away, but will monitor the venue for upcoming performances. Absolutely a great night!

We've gone to a few shows here now. We attended the Frank Sinatra show a few weeks ago & were seated in the balcony. The seats are lined up so your view of the stage will most likely be blocked by the person directly in front of you, especially if they have a long torso. The leg room is pretty good; compared to the Majestic Theatre balcony in SA there is a lot of leg room. Floor seat leg room is pretty comparable between the two theatres. Easy to get in and out of the theatre. If you aren't very mobile, I'd get floor seats since the stairs are steep to get to the balcony seats. They have a small bar with 2 bartenders. The lines are usually very long & slow. There were about 8-10 people in front of us (mostly couples) & it took about 20min to get to the front of the line. I know there isn't a lot of space, but doubling the number of people working back there would speed things up a lot. Oh...and the balcony can get really hot. They finally turned on the air about 20min into the show. I get that the show was in January, but heat rises & we were cooking until it came on.

Why are y'all booking Rock concerts, charging $30 at the door, AT&T center prices for concession, and you threaten to kick people out for dancing around?? Horrible experience.

Wonderful venue! Not a bad seat. Enjoyed "Ann: the Ann Richards Play" very much. Will return when Wurstfest is kaput. ; )

Beautiful little vintage theater. Seating is a little flat, so a tall person in front of you will partially block your view, but it’s still a wonderful place to watch a show.

Nice venue! This renovated movie theatre from the 1940's hosts local stage productions as well as touring artists. It's not only historic and fun, but a great place to see performances. We recently saw Frozen Jr. here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Since we moved here we've been twice and we're scheduled for two more shows. We've enjoyed seeing 'Whispering Bill Anderson' and 'Neal McCoy'! Both entertaining and put on an excellent show! Thanx Brauntex for bringing such talent to New Braunfels! UPDATE: We have now gone to see 'Mickey Gilley' (Right before he passed away) and 'Johnny Lee'. They had to have a stool to sit on because of their age but they both could still belt it out! We've had the pleasure of going twice to see 'Elvis' (Donny Edwards) and he puts on a different show each time that is excellent! He is the only 'Elvis Impersonator' that has been invited to 'Graceland' to perform. See you in September 2023! Going to the Brauntex to these performances is like having them in my living room!
