Wanted to try something new near my sons job in New Brunswick and bumped into this place on Yelp. It's not your typical restaurant as they don't take reservations It's on the first floor of an old house near downtown and train station. I had eggs Benedict and it was very good. The service was friendly and warm. Its definitely worth a try for breakfast or lunch!

Nice little sandwich spot close to Rutgers campus! The staff is very nice and they have a lot of seating indoors or outside. I love all their options for food, coffee and dessert!

Dreamy vegan and gluten free options, including a delicious breakfast sandwich on a homemade vegan AND gluten free everything bagel. The bakery case has vegan and gluten free options as well, so heavenly! I’m surprised I haven’t been here sooner—don’t make the same mistake I did, give it a try.

Fritz's Catering (Jonathan , Rebecka and the Team ) did an Exceptional Job for my 50th Birthday Party. What an incredible experience thanks to the team. Fritz’s played a major role on this event and I am extremely pleased with the outcome !! Guests are still raving over the how delicious the food was and exceptional service.. The Birthday theme was an outdoor backyard event “ Caribbean Island “ . Rebecka and Jonathan customized each and every food and drink items with the fine details & high quality ingredients. Each item for Cocktails , Appetizers , Main course and desserts were created for our liking and exactly what we wanted. It was a truly a Custom menu which was crafted for our party . The live station with Paella , and Smoked Briskets was exceptionally with presentation and the desserts and cake were outstanding closing the night !! The Fritz’s Service during the event was once again exceptional and the team catered to all of the guests needs with care and fine hospitality. I would Highly recommend Fritz to anyone who is interested in obtaining Catering Services. We will definitely obtain their services for all of our future catering events.

It's refreshing to walk into an establishment and get a welcoming feel. The people at Fritz did a wonderful job creating a great bakery/kitchen in the heart of Rutgers right on Easton Ave! They have original menu items freshly prepared as well as amazing bakery items like a raspberry stuffed handmade pop tart!!!! 😋

I placed a door dash order for an egg platter and had difficulty adding the smores dessert bar (which is delicious by the way) to my order. I called the restaurant about my issue and they were so understanding. When I received my order, the food was hot and delicious and I was so happy to see the smores bar in the bag. It was exactly what I needed on a busy day in the hospital. I was so pleased with the order so I ordered the same meal on my next shift and the platter was still delicious so kudos for consistency.

Ok. Fritz. You weren't what I expected, I'm speaking on a more negative light unfortunately. Service was good, but I ordered the food myself and food got taken outside to the patio when I was sitting inside. (Granted it still found its way to me.) Food was alright maybe I set my expectations too high. Ordered a Tuscan style sandwhich, the sausage patty was small the eggs were premixed and the bread was Huge. Taste was good but sandwhichabilitly left a lot to be desired. The pancake ooooh the pancakes, crisp to touch which I like but a bit too dry even with an overwhelming amount of syrup. The butter packets were placed on my pancakes which I feel is a health consern (not sure where those packets touched before my pancakes). Overall: Price was ok for what I ordered but for such a unique spot you kind of expect a flair. Thanks Fritz but won't be seeing ya around.

This is a nice spot for a quick and filling lunch. The prices are fair and the portions are large. However, when I visited here for the first time I wanted to order buffalo chicken tenders. I was told that they ran out and was recommended the buffalo chicken sandwich instead. The first bite of my sandwich was great. It was exactly what I was craving, but as I was about to take my second bite, I noticed a torn shiny piece of plastic in between the chicken and the lettuce. I opened my sandwich, and in disbelief, I found a large piece of plastic on the entire back side of my chicken patty, stuck underneath the breading. I had taken a bite of the plastic! I asked an employee about it, still not believing what it was, and was told that it was cheese. I took it back to the table to ask my friend what they thought and she confirmed with me that it was in fact plastic. After being gaslighted by the first employee, I went to the kind lady that took our order and she confirmed that I was right. She promised to remake the sandwich asap and told me she wasn't sure how it got in there. After waiting another 15 minutes for my sandwich to be made, she came up to me with a sealed brown bag saying "I added a blondie in there for you". I would've appreciated it if they had refunded me at least the price of the chicken sandwich. And if they wanted to use a dessert to apologize, it would have been nice to have been asked what I wanted. I don't even like Blondies. Overall it was a frustrating experience. The food is great but make sure to check what's in between your bread. TLDR: I found a sheet of plastic in between the breading of my chicken sandwich, which I swallowed, and was given a blondie as compensation.

A simple no frill place. It’s great for sandwiches. Went there for New Brunswick restaurant weeks and order from the special menu. You place the order at the counter and they bring the food to you. You clean up after you eat. We had zucchini trio, grilled cheese, and bbq pulled pork sandwich, lemonade, a bottle of water, and a magic bar for $36.50 before tips. The bbq pulled pork sandwich was great but messy as it’s served with cole slaw on top. It’s like eating sloppy Joe. The zucchini was tasty and plentiful. We couldn’t finish all the food and took the magic bar home for later.

Truffle fries were delish!!! Some of the food was okay, but some of their desert bars tasted like sand!!! They advertise their Bar Sampler as having 6 of the most popular flavors but then they gave me the almond bar😡😡😡 no way in HELL is that one of the most popular flavors. 3 stars from me.

Place was great. Clean, tasty and fast. The only downside is their is no parking for the store. Food was very good and prices were fair. The staff were friendly!

This adorable Place could not be more tasty and reasonablely priced! Large portions, super good menu. Try the artichoke and spinach grilled cheese! The Tuscany breakfast was also excellent. The bread was just warm toasty buttery and the sauce was excellent. Wish I knew about this place sooner

Update: Thank you Rebecka for your response. I was upset but your response was more than I expected. As I said we always enjoy the food which is why it has been a staple in my family and we look forward to dining there again. We have been customers of Fritz for several years. Even though it is pricey the food is good. Today however that is coming to an end. We placed an order for a sandwich fries and a entree. My daughter picked up and upon return realized her sandwich was missing. She called and returned to pick up. Rather then receive an apology she got attitude. They insisted they checked the order (I assume insinuating she was lying?). They threw the sandwich on the counter and that was it. Needless to say we won't be back. Can take my business where it is appreciated.

I bought the Reuben with corned beef a chicken sandwich and the risotto fritters, the sandwiches were all pretty big and the sauces were great ,with the risotto fritters being awesome, on the downside the reuben had lots of fatty meat and the bread was hard on parts of it, the chicken sandwich was basically a large very average chicken sandwich. We may come again but I've had better from a sandwich shop.

Take the 5 stars lightly but the food experience *for the price* deserves 5 stars! The buns show a classy look to a great tasting, not oversized but not small burger. Fries are great, and the porch is a great place to sit. The outside pick up window was ahead of its time but perfect for a virus ridden planet and the help is polite and professional. Great little place!

Fritz’s helped make Pittie Party Rescue’s annual fundraiser a huge success! Rebecka and Robin were kind enough to donate wonton cups and puff pastry all of which were amazing! Highly recommend for your next event!

This is the absolute best gluten free bread my family and I have ever had and we have tried ALOT of gf breads. We have had to order gluten free bread on many occasions from California because that was the only good one we could find, so to have an even BETTER one available right here in NJ is such an unexpectedly amazing find. It is so hard to find fresh, soft gf sour dough bread and if you’re gluten free you know how amazing it is to finally find something that is actually delicious and tastes like bread! I visited the cafe today and the staff was so helpful, kind, and generous and gave me a lot of helpful information on the bread. I will definitely be ordering more online!

we found you guys on doordash randomly, and decided to order for lunch today and just, holy heck the food was amazing. i got the general tso's chicken sandwich, and while it didn't have too much tso's sauce, the chicken itself is out of this world. and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't like just chicken. my mom got the pulled pork sandwich, which she loves, although they forgot her side of garlic aioli and coleslaw, but we got it via doordash. my grandma got the french onion soup, and the chicken tenders. the tender were great, but the soup left a bit to be desired, though that's probably because we got delivery. now onto the things we shared. we got the risotto fritters, which were good, but not this life changing experience other reviews made them out to be. now, on the other end, was those truffle fries. hoo boy, I've been wanting to try truffle for a long while, and they did not disappoint. those truffle fries are easily the best french fries I've had in my life, period. and the nutella iced coffee was really good too. my final conclusion is while we had a few issues, they could be chocked up to delivery issues rather than any problems with fritz's as a whole. 4.8/5 stars, will be getting from here many times to come.

Came here with family for lunch. The food was really fresh and tasty. The chicken sandwiches were to die for. My daughter had the fish and chips which was fried just right. The cod was flaky and crispy. The truffle fries 🔥!!!
