I can’t say much about the rest of the building, but the gym is sorta clean. Equipment is generally kept in good repair. (They have to since they only have room for one of everything.) It’s C R A M P E D. I could never get a decent workout in during peak hours. Even midday is pretty bad. All the evaporation in such a small space also makes you feel like you’re breathing in sweat directly. I really wish they’d turn the lights off during the day. There’s an enormous light source in the windows in the weight area during the day. Seems like a waste of electricity to run the lights. Not enough equipment nor space to get a good leg day in. I only do less demanding upper body days here.

Spend time doing workout everyday! It looks small but there's enough equipment for everyone to do training. The swimming poo is also well maintained. They have yoga and dance classes as well. By appointment, you can also enjoy spa 👍

A very solid rec center with lots of options. They have great locker rooms. 2 racquetball courts. Large basketball court with 4 side nets. Yoga in a large room quite often. Intramural indoor soccer. Weight room. There is also an outdoor hockey rink and some baseball fields. And lots of green space in general. Staff is friendly.

This is my favorite Rutgers gym. The facility is really nice and clean, and since it is on Cook campus it is not as crowded as the others. It is especially great for lap swimming.

Great facility. Pool, racquetball courts, basketball courts, fitness center and many classes available. You can also book massages and reserve spaces. Guest passes are inexpensive. Parking can be a challenge... Bus or walk if you can!

This policy is completely unfair to parents with small children, especially babies and toddlers. The changing room facilities are not as equipped as the main locker rooms. If I can't bring my 1 year old into the locker room with me, this isn't a space that accommodates parents or holds classes for kids.

The rec center in Rutgers New Brunswick SEBS campus. The State University of New Jersey. There are 5 campuses in New Brunswick specializing in different majors. Students have options of different environs to reside, and all campuses are connected by busses. Rutgers is a research based University for the sciences and also has a strong liberal arts program.

My kids take swimming classes there, and they really enjoy it, 2 or 3 kids per instructor, so everyone gets enough attention

🫤 Pros: good maintenance, clean, nice location Cons: expensive and not the service matching with the price . The reason I canceled the membership is because the swimming pools can be occupied by some swim team very often . Being interested in swimming, i called for information about the class. As al...

😐 Not a bad gym, but it does suffer from being the oldest one. The weight room is small, busy, and cramped (and smelly).

👍👍 Small, but good amount of cardio equipment. Normally not packed, and has the best location of all Rutgers fitness center. There are showers and lockers.
