This is a welcoming spot for weary travelers. If you are looking for thoughtful accommodation as you leave the chaos of Chicago this is the place. The owner will go far above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome, safe and cared for. We stay in campgrounds all over the country that are corporate, structured, expensive and pose as safe havens. We have never felt more safe and cared for in any other place in the United States. If you are looking for a more adventurous, eccentric and eclectic campround-this is your spot. If you are looking for a cookie cutter experience maybe keep searching.

A gentleman came out of a building that I assumed was the office even though it was surrounded by junk. He was on the phone which I get, as soon as he gets off he walks over to me states "he's not interested" and then walks away. This guy had no idea who I was, what I wanted, absolutely nothing. Simply stated he's not interested and walked away. Extremely unprofessional and that combined with this "business" looking the way it does is insane.

The guy at this campground was very personable. He tried to make us feel comfortable, helped guild the camper back into the spot. Was very nice and friendly. It was 8pm and I had called alot of campgrounds. He was the only one open on a Saturday night. We had full hookup. Water sewer and electric for $40. It was quiet.

This place was absolutely horrible. The drug addicts knocked at my door asking for "drugs" and rob was their asking me the same thing the first night because he mistakenly thought I was someone he knew but that place I had a tribe of teenage kids coming to my door also asking if I had "whippets?" And I said no? I had no idea but these poor children living here are deprived of obvious drugs πŸ˜’ I would please personally never ever recommend anyone coming here. I had Soo much happen to me here as someone who is on vacation as a lawyer and this place made me sick. And rob? Oh he is just as bad as those teenagers asking me about whippets, or air duster? Like what and why did they ask that?? But he bothered me every time the breaker blew in the motel? He just was super mean to my husband and yelled at him for saying he had no whippets for some sort of deal on his stay? He is obviously rigging the system and is over charging. People please listen to me about this. I am Soo serious about rob and the people who live their. Jesus has to see this place πŸ˜πŸ™ god I pray for this place to improve but I been there before and it is worse than before πŸ˜πŸ™

It’s not always what you want, but what you need. Sure the place is a little interesting, but Robbie made sure that where you lay your head, is home. And that you follow the rules for the betterment and safety of the guests utilizing the same area and or facilities. Not to mention the inexpensive price for such a great location! Thank you so much for everything Robbie! Hope to see y’all again soon!

This place is peaceful, black squirrels, wooded area. The owner is very nice, he helped me back in and lift off my sway bars which I really appreciate, especially since I have so much pain daily. It’s a ma and pa place which makes it better. Reasonable price. Small area, and they have a motel and trailer park in the back. Bathrooms and showers are clean.

Robbie!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!! This is one of the most laid back campsites I have ever been to. The back is beautiful watching the deer as the sunsets or in the morning when the sunrises!! This is not your typical campsite so if your glamping go pay for an overpriced resort!! If your looking for hospitality and fun this is a must stay experience!! It was great meeting you Robbie until next time my friend!!

Great camping tent sites. Robbie, the owner is so accommodating, and friendly. sells ice and firewood. Clean showers and toilets. Judy's is near the lake, town, ice cream, farms, restaurants. Judy's is family friendly. I've been going to Judy's for more than 10 years and wouldn't trade my favorite camping place for anything!

Stayed at the campgrounds 4th of July weekend. We can't wait to go back! The owner Robbie was extremely helpful and friendly! Close to the beach, not far from Michigan City or New Buffalo for supply runs altho they had ice and firewood available on site :) A beautiful peaceful place to get away from it all; wish we could've stayed longer!

Camping: Super friendly, extremely welcoming and accommodating, cleanest bathrooms on my drive cross country. Definite hidden gem. I've been spending my nights at campgrounds at state and national parks during the drive home, near wherever I stopped for the night which made reservations nearly impossible. Indiana dunes state and national parks both had no availabilities, so I started calling around. Robbie, the owner, called me back and apologized for a (very brief) delay in getting back to me, and let me know there were indeed a couple campsites left for the night. As soon as I arrived, he showed me all the sites available and let me pick where I wanted, made sure I had everything I needed and knew where the bathrooms were. Seriously, I'm CAMPING, and he was this attentive, kind and helpful - in most state parks they pretty much expect you to figure it all out on your own. The owner was awesome, and I'll definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to the area. One of my best camping experiences ever. Only about a 20 minute drive to Indiana dunes national park, great but quiet location. Yes, it's a bit eccentric looking in front of the office, but that adds to the fun. Clean facilities, kind management, great location; really, exactly what you're looking for in overnight accommodations.
