Our waitress was super sweet. The food arrived fast and was very delicious. Our cups were always refilled with no hesitation. Love the hospitality.

Husband got ribs and really enjoyed the sauce. I got meatloaf and it was okay. I did not get the gravy. The green beans were okay. Lightly seasoned and didn't taste like they were poured out of a can. Had a fresh taste. Mac and cheese had good flavor but was dry as I'm sure they made a huge batch. Wonderful local spot. Would definitely go back. Easy access first floor restaurant. Staff very nice.

Stopped in today for my first visit after driving by this place occasionally. After eating, I realized I missed out and should have been coming sooner. Had a great country fried steak, staff was great and fast. Before I sat down, I had a drink already. It was mid afternoon, they weren't too busy but still.

I ordered the large pork chop (county fair chop?). 3 things went wrong: 1. The bone-in chop was probably 1/2 fat. 2. It was badly undercooked. I was hungry, and managed to get 2 bites out of it. 3. The staff wasn’t going to give me the meal, since I ate part of it. I said I would take a free dessert. I ordered a slice of apple pie. Waitress returned, said they couldn’t give me a slice of pie, but would give me blackberry cobbler. I declined, since I’m not a fan of that. Last time I’ll go, and my wife and I would go there about once a month.

I've been here a couple times and the staff has been very pleasant. The general vibe of this place is quaint, small town diner filled with the sort of banter that makes me feel like I'm at my grandparents house on a holiday gathering. I'll be back any time I'm looking to have a nice meal with a peaceful atmosphere. The Reuben Omelet was surprisingly good and I like their pickled eggs and pies, as well.

Quiet and friendly. Cost of food compared to the quality is very poor. Cheeseburger and fries will cost you about $10 but with the quality of greasy fatty patty burger. Better comparison would be, McDonald's burger be cheaper and better quality. I did not try any of the other meals so I do not know how good they are. I would recommend the company use higher grade beef for the price they charge.

Nice casual place. Had their Taco Salad, very good. Excellent crisp fried tortilla bowl. Excellent portion sizes. Expect to need a take out box. Great friendly wait staff.

This was my first time visiting studebaker's. My buddy and I went there after work. We were very surprised about all the selections on the menu. The service was fantastic. Seem like the entire staff were friendly. It had that family owned dining experience that I always look for. When the food arrived it was all delicious and fresh. I would recommend anybody that is looking for a nice friendly family environment restaurant if you're in the New Carlisle area or if you're just driving through. To please stop at Studebaker's and enjoy...

Hey there, I've got another Ohio culinary gem to share with you! Today, we explored the delicious offerings of Studabaker's Country Restaurant in New Carlisle, and let me tell you, it's a breakfast haven like no other. I decided to dive into the breakfast skillet with home fries, and it was a revelation. The home fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a real testament to the art of potato cooking. The addition of fresh ingredients made every bite an explosion of taste. It's one of those dishes where you just can't resist scooping up a bit of everything with each forkful. My wife went for the Philly cheesesteak omelet. It's not your ordinary omelet; it's an omelet with attitude! The generous helping of thinly sliced steak, sautéed onions, and gooey cheese brought the essence of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich right to the breakfast table. It's savory, it's cheesy, and it's downright indulgent. And let's not forget the atmosphere. Studabaker's has that cozy, down-home vibe that makes you feel like you're dining with family. The friendly staff and warm ambiance make every visit a memorable one. Overall, Studabaker's Country Restaurant in New Carlisle is a must-visit for breakfast aficionados. So, if you're in the mood for a breakfast adventure that'll tantalize your taste buds, head on over to Studabaker's. You won't be disappointed!!

Service is pretty awful. You seat yourself and get lost in the confusion. We took our 2 small children and waited over an hour for our food, even though we saw 3 other separate parties come in after us, get fed, and leave before my husband and I got our food. Which was the same thing they ordered too. Super irritating. No problems with the actual food.

Studebaker's is a constant in our small town. Sometimes new staff will make the food less than than perfect but they learn. Daily meal deal specials like stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls can always be relied on but they sometimes run out. All in all, a good place to go.

Our server was just not on her A game. We also came into the restaurant and were not spoken to acknowledge that we were there. Wasn't sure if we sat ourselves or not. Waiting 7 minutes to be cashed out. Employees just walked past us like they did when we came in. Positive food was amazing, and our order was correct. We will be back and try again.

2pc. Breasted chicken dinner was on point! One breast and one drum with a side of potato cakes & beets and eggs for a reasonable price and freshly made. The chicken had a crispy skin and it was warm and juicy on the inside.

Good home style food, excellent service. Very broad menu including usual diner fare plus fried seafood and chicken. I've been here for lunch several times and appreciate the consistent quality. It's no fine dining restaurant but a reasonably priced place to take your family.

The WORST service. No clean tables. Sat down person spread water all over the table and it was still dirty. Asked for napkins TWICE to clean the table myself. Ordered a salad which came out with the meal, not before. Waitress never gave name. She never checked to see if everything was ok. Came by and asked do we want the check. Waited a good 10 minutes to get a box. Never did. Carried food out in a napkin.

The food was good. Service was a little slow. Couple employees walked past us as we were standing at the front waiting to be seated and didn’t even greet us. No biggie. Waited at the cash register for a bit to cash out. Again, multiple employees walking by Need to do away with the Covid plexiglass. It looks nasty. You can see fingerprints and God know what else. Need to do away with the credit card fee. It just looks bad. It looks better if you adjust your prices to offset the fee. That way the patron doesn’t feel like they’re being charged a fee. All in all, I’ll definitely be returning. Just would like to see some small changes for a better experience.

READ FIRST!!!!! I've ate here for years and today I waited 1 hour and 20 mins for my food and ended up leaving. That's ridiculous! Several people that came in after me was served before me. Foods great here but customer service is terrible. The waiters had us waiting 20 mins for drinks. Come on guys that's insane! Still have not heard from them and it's going on 3 days but they read my Facebook post.

Food was cold and dried up. Had a 3 person order and no one was able to eat it. My baked potato was cold and hard as a rock with no butter and sour cream as I requested. I would not recommend this slop house to my worst enemy. 35. Bucks thrown in the garbage

Was up from Georgia, visiting my mother on her 85th and a couple weeks after, and I was told how good it was. A friend, now in Indianapolis, drove the 2 hours to hang with me for the day and asked if I wanted to get some lunch and I figured we could both try it for the first time. He got the Country Skillet meal and I got a veggie omelette that was light and fluffy, filled with a goodly amount of veggies and the salsa inside with a little on top was a perfect fit. I received a generous portion of home fries that were a little bland, but I doctored them with salt/pepper and some Frank's Hot Sauce and they worked fine to round out the meal. I could see me making this my breakfast joint when I visit Mom. If you're near, or in town to visit, make time to grab a meal at this great little restaurant.

I've never felt more unwelcome in my life? Stomach was bothering me so stopped in at Studebaker's while in New Carlisle, thinking I might get some soup. Since this part of Ohio can't imagine soup that isn't chili I always have a backup. The waitress came to my table and apparently asking what the soup of the day is her on switch. I say this because she wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to tell her I knew what I wanted. She just kept telling me what I wanted and each time I'd try to tell her I knew what I wanted but she just wouldn't stop talking! She just kept telling me to order this thing or that thing and just wouldn't listen to me after my trying several times to tell her I knew what I wanted. She finally told me maybe I should go somewhere else. So, I did. All of this happening with very little input from me at all. I'm usually a MelODee person, not usually going to this restaurant, and now I know why. At least at the MelODee they let you talk so you can order some food and not be told you should probably go elsewhere.

Had the Mexican omelet. It was very delecious!!! I appreciate that they don't use fluffy egg mix (flour or whatever makes eggs fluffy). They simply use JUST egg, it seems. The staff are all very kind even during busy times.

This is real home cooking!! My husband and I are in our 70s our neighbor who came with us is in her 80s. It was just like going home whe we were kids and alot like what we cook ( without having to) the waitresses were very helpful helping us decide and very friendly, service was great. My husband had boasted chicken. He said it was the best he's had. I had cabbage rolls, just like my mom's. The place is not fancy but homey. We will be back soon!! Oh and prices are fantastic. Please try them before going to a fast food drive thru. You'll get a healthy meal here and I bet a regular.

Restaurant and food was gray as usual. Didn’t care much for the cooks attitude and complaints from the kitchen. 30 minutes before posted closing he was yelling at wait staff. Evidently dropping more chicken messed up his plans to leave at closing. It was loud enough to be heard throughout. Young skinny with a dark beard. Hopefully he’s history..

There is no kids menus. I ask and was told they have options. She gave a few options for kids. I ask about cheeseburgers and chicken. Then she said we have that too. She wasn't knowledgeable of the menu. I ask the soup of the day. She said chili. I said well that's on the menu, what's today's soup? Was told usually chili. Had to ask for refills. After 45 minutes still no food, just bread. Had to ask for silverware. No plates for the bread. Restaurant was freezing and when I said something the waitress said hastily that they can't touch the thermostat per the owners. We left without eating. I said we would pay for our drinks. Was told, "You can just go!" I will not be back. This interaction was from two different waitresses. Just plain rude.
